My AC decided to die on me last week and these guys were amazing!…read more First of all I live in a gated community of townhomes and my unit is in the middle so access is not an easy task. Upon arrival these guys were friendly and very informative. They assessed the situation and let me know the fan in the unit had been completely destroyed by something getting into it. Both of my outdoor AC unit and the indoor funace/ac were 20 yrs old and not functioning well to begin with, then it started making a rattling sound and was super loud then it just stopped completely, which is the reason I called. Chase was very helpful showing me my different options and explaining the difference between them all, he offered the option of financing and helped me through the payment process and explained clearly when I asked about thier cancelation policy which was as simple as if you cancel then u are refunded your deposite in full no questions asked. The delivery of the unit was complicated as I am the middle unit in my complex so They brought in a crane and Regie helped the incredible operator direct it onto my back deck with no damage to my gutters and precision of placement, he put the new unit in place and had the old unit removed again by crane which is quite a task but such an amazing option to have especially in my situation. He also removed my old furnace/ac in the basement and brought all new equipment down for the following morning. He was a one man show on this job aside from the crane operator, I'm assuming because of the 4th of July the day before, and he crushed it!! The next day Todd and his partner showed up early and orked diligently and effectively! They we're able to come up with solutions with the thermostat and wiring that saved me some dry wall repair, which I greatly appreciate!! Overall my experience was very positive and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, and trustworthy team of employees and buisness!

Several weeks ago I made an appointment for a general routine furnace and a/c inspection and service. They booked me for 6/18...I asked for an early morning appointment and was advised that the closest they could come would be an 0800 to 1100 window. Had not heard anything from them until 6/18 when I called them at 0900 to see if I was scheduled...they confirmed. At 0955 they texted me to advise the tech was running late but would be there shortly. I texted back and asked how many calls the tech had made that morning. I received no response. No one ever showed up. At 1100 I called to reschedule as I couldn't wait around any longer for them. They suggested that I not reschedule as they were several weeks out and couldn't get to me until il mid-August. I couldn't believe that...a long time customer who purchased a full system from them 9 years ago...who has had them service my system every year for both heating and cooling...and this is how they think they should solve a problem that they created. They have absolutely zero problem wasting customer time, and make absolutely no effort in trying to remedy a situation in favor of the customer. I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere. Maybe there has been a change in ownership and/or management, but whatever it is, I'm staying away from them...far away.

We were in the process of selling our home and the AC went out soon after accepting an offer on it. Being the middle of summer we were pressured by the realtor to replace the AC and the furnace (because of the age of it) before our closing date just 3 weeks away. I reach out to Technicool and they called me within hours, sent a technician on the same day to diagnose, and then set an appointment a week and a half later to replace our whole system. Their communication through the whole process was excellent and they even left all the warranty information for the new homeowners to pick up where we left off. They truly were lifesavers for us in a tight situation. To top it off I had gotten bids for a full system replacement about 4 months prior before we decided to sell our home and the pricing we received at that point was $1500 to $3000 over my final cost with Technicool. My home warranty company sent Utah Heating and Cooling to fix my AC when it quit working. The…read moretechnician, Will, upsold me a "lifetime" capacitor and claimed my home warranty only covered 1/2 the cost. He charged me $377.12. The next day, I looked up the capacitor out of curiosity. It's an AmRad Turbo 200, a universal capacitor that can be adapted to multiple configurations and is available for under $100 from several places online, including Amazon. I was shocked and double-checked multiple times to ensure I was comparing the same part. I understand markup, but almost 4X for my "half" is excessive. I can buy the AmRad fixed-size capacitor for my specific AC unit on Amazon for $35. When I called Utah Heating and Cooling to express my dissatisfaction, they offered to come back and replace the capacitor with a less expensive one covered by my home warranty. Will came back the next day and replaced it, but left the capacitors still in their boxes, stuffed in place and hanging by the wires. I've now escalated to my home warranty company. After speaking with them, a recall is being submitted, and Utah Heating and Cooling will send a "senior" tech out to do a professional job. I'm very disappointed with Utah Heating and Cooling and would not recommend them to anyone.

As part of a Home Warranty call, a different company came in, barely spoke, provided no facts, left, and I got a notice that the evap coil was so dirty it needed to be replaced... $3,000 please I asked for a second opinion because something wasn't adding up. In comes Utah Heating and Cooling, and their epic technician Orson (hope I don't embarrass him). This gentleman worked his tail off in 95 degree heat to diagnose it properly. He provided clear explanations, and had charts and data to validate. Behind that he was extremely professional, and patient. I don't know if this is possible, but if you happen to need a service called managed through AHS, do yourself a favor and convince them to send Utah Heating and Cooling.
