Prior to the wash, there is a human who pre-soaks the vehicle, which is incredibly helpful, especially on the first wash after winter. While I didn't catch the name of this human, they were kind and helpful in making sure my car was as clean as possible. The whole experience of the Deluxe wash took about four minutes and is worth the price. My car was cleaner with a nice waxy shine. Definitely going to return!

On good weather days this line can get pretty long, but they do well to move the line as quick as possible. You then leave your car ( and your remote start fob if you don't have keys in the ignition) and go inside where you take the paper ticket given to you by the original attendant and present it to the cashier. The cashier will hand you a claim ticket to give for the washers when your car is ready. Inside there are many retail items for sale, fun greeting cards, snacks, candies, drinks and microwaveable foods. And of course car retail items such as air fresheners, tire shine, steering covers and many other things. It's a pretty nice variety. In this area there are large windows looking into the car wash area, you can watch your car going thru all its cleaning stages and special waxes/coats. It's fun to watch. Then you take yourself over to the waiting area where your car is finished off being towel dryed, and wiped in the inside. Tires are wiped as well. The attendant will wave you out when your car is finished. You hand them your claim ticket. Before you go out to get your car, there is a box to put in any gratuities that are shared by all workers. They do close if the weather is too rainy or too cold, despite any posted hours. But a well run place to get your car crispy clean!

I decided upon North Star Car Wash (about 25 minutes from home) because of the 12 reviews/ all 5 stars/ emphasis upon " great thorough hand wash" and "great value ( Deluxe wash $20)". 1.Right off 694 and not far from 35W. VERY easy commute. 2. Appears like a small family Hispanic operation of EXTREMELY hard hard fast thorough workers 3. Starts with a high pressure soap blaster handled by the female owner along with a fellow furiously scrubbing the car with a long handled soap dispensing 12 inch wide brush. 4. You remain in the car Neutral, and the top massive huge moving brush/ mop ( with wide thick fabric pieces) most thoroughly scrubs the car top and top sides ( rare in car washes) while side brushes simultaneously hit the car sides. Very GOOD scrub. 5. Next I liked the thorough rinse then the MANY powerful air blasters ( more than normal) drying the car 6. Two fellows at the end RAPIDLY and so thoroughly hand wiped the car dry. 7. I was MOST thrilled by the TOP quality rare beautiful wax shine on my car. With a black car, I have always always sought out top quality wax for my car. Very excellent!! Not only was the owner (Antawn) this business very responsive, but he went out of his way to get my vehicle in quickly and he did an amazing job!
