CAN I GET A TIME TO GIVE A 20 STAR REVIEW! My tag line "I love you more than chocolate cake" is my tag for a reason. SOOOOOOOOO as the story goes, we waltzed over to the OVERSTUFFED and OVERCROWDED Sea, sip and shop event at the Hyannis Yacht Club on a BEAUTIFUL and chilly/chill Saturday late morning. The place was CRAWLING with humans, packed to the brim (a bit overwhelming, I don't do crowds in small spaces well). I scanned the room full of treasures, but wiggling my way through the 55+ crowd with wine in hand I spotted a table with a name that I had heard about in some of the local FB pages. And what do I see on the table? For $6.00 a thick and sexy slice of chocolate cake, nice and high with that simple sheen a moisture-rich, chocolate dense but not "masacota" cake can strut, iced with a beautiful vanilla buttercream. HELLO my friend. The only purchase I made before I chatted up a storm with a work out buddy and wiggled our way to the bar for a FABULOUS lunch with a view in the packed bar (we lucked out in the seating!).
Came home, chicken and salad up with my leftover treasure from the HYC and leftover onion rings from Seafood Sams, reheated to a perfect crisp, bottle o'bubbles from @Dunnandsons and whipped up a salad with leftover roaster from Market Basket. As the story be told, I took the hunk of a chunk of cake and cut it in half and split the half with the hubby.
My toes will be curling in perfect chocolate decadence indulgence for days to come (I may raid the fridge at midnight and polish off the leftover when hubby is snoring his life in morpheus's arms...).
I looked them up and found the storefront in Mashpee! WELL! The website doesn't give the pricing, but the menu is clear. And so my Yelpies, #granniehudsoneatsout will certainly be ordering cake for festivities and cupcakes from this gal. Because I love you more than chocolate cake will not work here. I love that cake more than most humans now! read more
