I asked them to build me a trailer ramp and Todd gave me a verbal quote ($2500) but no written estimate of the cost. They had my trailer for five months, and when they finished the ramp they charged me $5200 - twice the original estimate - and didn't give me either a receipt for my payment or an invoice detailing parts and labor. The ramp was badly built and a few months later it literally fell apart. I wanted my money back but Todd offered to rebuild it instead. The rebuilt ramp was built just as badly, they put all three lift assist springs on backwards, and within a couple of months it literally fell off the trailer because it was attached so poorly. I took a two horse slant to them specifically asking for the brakes to be repaired. They assured me they would do so and prior to picking it up. I reiterated exactly what I had asked to be done. I received a phone call indicating I needed $1900 worth of repairs done and the brakes would be taken care of. I approved for the suspension to be and re-refurbished but emphasize the brakes were the biggest deal for me. When I up, the bill was not 1900 but 2200 and the brakes were exactly in the same condition that they were when I brought the trailer in. They indicated they would send a service truck down to make it right. Zero and zero response to both written and verbal . Extremely disappointing. read more

A motorhome that was supposed to be there for a "few" days according to Todd, which ended up being 3 weeks. All of our wires unplugged that power the radio and all tanks. The doghouse not even reattached. The exhaust leak never welded like promised. We had to discover from another mechanic shop that they never fixed the exhaust leak and put some kind of flex hose over the hole!! Then, when I call Todd about all this, he just bumbles around trying to put the blame on everyone but himself. So, after this back and forth conversation with him, he says he will call me on Monday June 24th and have his guy come out to our house to plug all the wires back in and figure out what happened with the exhaust leak. He never called. So we called him today and as per usual, we get the runaround. He admits the hole is still there in the exhaust, yet cannot give a definitive answer as to WHAT was actually welded! He kept holding on to our motorhome BECAUSE he was waiting to get the exhaust welded, or so he told us. I had to save for so long to get this work done and he just ruined our summer because he wants to make all the money but not do the work. How can this place even stay in business? Please, if you read this review, be smarter than us and read ALL reviews of this place. They are absolutely horrible.Come to find out they did not fix the charging issue, there tune up was worthless still runs like crap. When they did the work they disconnected all the under the dash wiring for radio, heat, cb , and tank gauges ect. He Sent a guy to come by who tried to reconnect wiring but failed.,as nothing worked that he reconnected. Todd called him and told him he'd been there long enough. But before leaving the guy said the employees were trying to get Todd to retire so they can straighten out the business. This guy is a thief and a clown. UPDATE: Got a call from Todd after posting this and he said he would "make it right", he would have an employee come by in the next couple days, jump start my motorhome and take a list of everything wrong and take it back to the shop and fix them. I Have not heard from him in a week. I rest my case. UPDATE:#2. Nov 27, 2024. It has been several months since hearing from Todd the owner of Washington Auto Carriage, promising he would "make it right", completing the job I had hired them for, and fixing the problems they caused while working on my motorhome; and or refunding my $1,300.00. After being told to pound sand by several shops in the area, this place took care of me and did it quick. I needed some emergency fabrication and rust mitigation done to save my van. I was worried that nobody in town was going to know how to do it and I didn't have my welding circuit installed at home yet. I contacted mid week so I figured it would carry over into next week. Nope, got it done by Friday afternoon, today, which is why I am now writing this. They did it correctly as well. Not some hack job. I guess it helps when you say "Just make it right" and let the pros handle the thinking vs trying to be cheap which makes it difficult, if not impossible to get a job done right. Looks like I found a place that can take care of a few mods for me to get a little more capability. read more

We developed a coolant leak in our motorhome in Leavenworth, Wa and after trying to find someone to repair it Washington Auto Carriage was recommended to us. I called, and Todd, Manager, told us to come in when we got to Spokane and he would work us in to his schedule. We got there around lunch time and Todd said he would have someone look at our rig as soon as lunch was over. Joe, technician, found the leak in a heater hose, explained his repair, did the repair and we were back on the road to our destination in Lewiston, Idaho, by 4:30. Called Washington Auto Carriage when having trouble with motorhome on trip, they said bring it in next the morning and they would work us in and see what was wrong. Turned out to be bad alternator , they went out of their way to find one in Spokane area that was immediately available and had us back on the road same day. Great customer service ! read more

Washington Auto Carriage was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful when I needed to replace the axles on my travel trailer. They went above and beyond to help me secure new tires just down the street. I cannot give them any higher praise in the way they helped me work with my insurance company. They were timely in getting the estimate to the insurance company and when we discovered they would pay for the tires, they resubmitted a claim immediately. I am very satisfied with the work they performed on my trailer. The mechanics were timely in returning my calls, skilled in their profession and easy to talk to. I brought my 2007 Arctic Fox travel trailer in to see why I might have blown a tire on one of the 2 axles. Looking at the rest of the tires, there was definitely a problem with either the wheel alignment or the tires. 3 of the 4 tires had abnormal wear on them. Terry was the service person I talked to and when I took the trailer in for a 2 hour assessment, he told me both of my axles needed to be replaced to the tune of $2700.00. He did not do any assessment other than get down on one knee an look under the trailer and told me that both of the axles needed to be replaced. That seemed a little unprofessional. I took the trailer to 2 other establishments and both told me the only problem I had was the inexpensive tires tread were separating. The tire store I finally chose to replace the tires looked at the axles and the bearings and found nothing wrong. I replaced all 4 tires with a good quality tire and moved on. I was very disappointed with the service I received at Washington Auto Carriage. I feel Terry wanted a sale and a high priced sale, nothing more. read more
