I love home instead I give it at 10. They have been very good to me, and it's just my caregivers have become family. If you're looking for I for this kind of help, you should go through them. Thank you so much of Linda Barba

I was a resident/patient at Hope Village for about a year and a half and just moved out in June…read more2026. There are many worse facilities. This establishment is clean and the CNA staff is good-but there are not enough of them-ever. A few of the nurses are excellent-many are half baked and not on the ball. There is a TV connected to each bed, however each TV is tuned to a different station-too loud. There is a physical and occupational therapy gym but the PT staff is not the best team. If you need physical therapy, I suggest you make an appointment with ProActice Physical Therapy found about 12 blocks down Ivy Street. ProActive is the A team. Food at Hope Village is basic institutional fare-think what you got in the high school cafeteria. They do make a great carrot soup. Ask for it. Rooms are way crowded with often three beds per small room. So conflicts with room mates are frequent and not resolved well. The facility is so crowded that if there was a fire, earthquake or flood- the residents could not be evacuated fast enough. If I were the Canby fire chief, I would demand fewer patients per room. Hope Village says they conduct fire drills- they are Micky Mouse fire drills. Ask the management when they had a real fire drill, where everyone was removed to a safe place. Sign up for CAT (Canby Area Transit) bus services-excellent little wheelchair transport provider that costs a buck a ride and well worth it. There is a limit to how far CAT will take you outside of Canby. Canby has a good little library and small independent bookstore, The Book Nook- both worth visiting. The CNA staff are good but frequently there are temporary staff. The MD in charge of Hope Village has two other large facilities he oversees. You can depend that he treats the management of Marquis, not you. Keep you own doctor and Hope Village will often follow your MD's directions. Sometimes not. I had to use Providence/Urgent care twice-once for a bladder infection. There are many adult care facilities far worse but that's not saying much. The upper management of Marquis is unaccountable and does not make patient care a priority. They are out for your money. Family and friends should monitor and supervise and your loved one will get better care. Best wishes.

During a very stressful time, the community and leadership at Hearthstone made this process as easy as possible. My parents were at first reticent to leave their long-time home and move into this community, but they are now not only physically and medically safe, but they are socially and spiritually thriving. Thank you, Hearthstone for giving us peace of mind and giving us back our parents for what I believe will be for many years to come.

My parent was there over a year & Mgmt continuously attempted to charge us for anything & everything. It was stressful & repulsive. With the exception of one person in Mgmt, the rest are leeches. After my parent died, only one Mgmt employee gave condolences after I called to tie up some things-not a word from the rest. At least they were finally showing their true selves. Additionally, one employee harassed my parent & tried to convert my parent to evangelical Christianity despite my parent being a reformed Catholic. I'd never recommend them, I'd warn people about what to expect. If you're very well-off, there's no problem but if you're on a fixed income, even if it's quite a healthy upper-middle class income, be prepared for them to bleed you dry...all while smiling & pretending to care. Avoid.

After all of the surgeries my husband spent a month in the hospital and he was kind of at square one when discharged. When he started at the Pearl he was unable to stand. After his month long stay, he was in good enough shape to slide transfer from a wheelchair to his bed or shower/commode. He was also able to stand for brief periods of time. He progressed enough to join the intensive Rio Rehabilitation Program at Legacy Health. During his stay he received top notch care from Rio staff. They were very caring and met him where he was physically. The therapists pushed him to get where he needed for additional rehabilitation. Thank you Colin and Debra! The nursing staff were caring and as timely as they could be and several nurses were standouts (like Carol and Sherry). The weekends seemed to have less staff so things could take longer. That said, they were upfront about other work they needed to do before being able to help. And when they were helping, they took all the time and care that was needed. The food was very good with several alternatives if the main menu didn't sound good. Bambi was great in helping set up wheelchair transport for appointments, Sondra helped coordinate lots of appointments and helped make Rio happen. Tawnya was amazing at coordinating transition to Rio and backup plans. Penny was the nicest therapy pooch. She lifts everyone's spirits. I highly recommend the Pearl as a skilled nursing facility. Thanks for all you did for us
