Manor Park is one of the nicest parks in San Leandro!!!! I was there Today enjoying the Park eating my Lunch at one of the Picnic Tables!!! There's a Swimming Pool ‍, Tennis Courts , Basketball Courts, Swings , Softball Fields , Barbecues and Picnic Benches!!! The Public Works. Department does a Good Job of Keeping the Park Clean and the Restrooms Clean and Stocked!!! SLPD also Patrols the Park fairly Frequently!!!! A nice park right off of the freeway. Limited parking as lot shares a water park and other park goers. There a two tennis courts and 6 pickle ball courts. Lighted too. Very great community and courts are well maintained. Lots of walking paths and shade for those who don't like sun. read more

This park is a "hidden gem"! It has many features including a pool, water slides, tennis courts, outdoor exercise equipment and much, much more. When we first arrived, there were numerous people playing Mah Joong at several tables under an awning. Unfortunately, by the time we were done with our lunch, and I walked over to take a look, they were packing up. I'm not sure but it appears that the Park District loaned them tables and plastic stools to sit on to play. There were also several gentlemen watching another pair playing Chinese Chess. We will be returning to this park to hang out now and then and have lunch with our dog in tow. read more

Experienced this park today for the very first time. I was participating in a walk-a-thon fundraiser. It's a very nice and clean park with a walking path. Many were there practicing tai chi. Very interesting to see. Looks like there's some remodeling going on. Definitely coming back to get my walk on.‍ read more

Large, airy park in San Leandro with an aquatic center (swimming pool, splash pad, water slides) slated to open in 2025, 2 playgrounds, a pickle ball/tennis court, a skate area, and plenty of clean, mowed grass to picnic on. I've probably seen one sketchy character here the times that I've been here, otherwise it's all families, community groups, and people gathering to play cards or mahjong. We took the kids here one weekend to get some fresh air, and there were so many nice, private shaded areas to set-up a picnic blanket. read more

Now, this usually would be a 4 star park. But because I believe that this is the nicest park in San Leandro, I'm tacking on another star!!! Why is it so nice?? Because it has it all, plus it's the perfect place for lots of things!! It's located behind the San Leandro Family Aquatic Center, which adds to this area's popularity in the summer time!! Basketball court, softball field, tennis court, picnic areas, exercise stations, restrooms, swings, playground, even a skating area. Like I said, all!! But, to me this is the perfect 'walkable' park if you just want to get in an after dinner stroll, morning walk, or even a short run. Washington Manor Park is impressive for what it offers: tennis courts, 2 children's play area, baseball field, basketball court, concrete flat surface for skating, skateboarding, tables for random sitdown, lot of greenery that's well maintained. plenty of parking in front. maybe not enough at peak times. Family Aquatic Center is nearby. this may be the best spot for sports in San Leandro. (outside of the Marina Blvd. sports spaces). plenty of space to walk. read more

2024 April Free Tai Chi Park in the East Bay. I am the one with my coffee cup in my hand practicing under the tree. Great to see others from Oakland Chinatown Lincoln recreation center as escapees from Covid. No San Mateo Central Park Chen stylists yet, or San Francisco Sunset Ortega library, or San Francisco Portsmouth Square, or Golden Gate Park group member sightings yet. This is one of the few rest rooms that have square toilet papers. Yup. Reminds me of days of practices in Taipei, Taiwan. Shanghai or Da Lian in China has either no free toilets or toilet paper in the parks. If you do not bring your roll of toilet paper, please shake with your right hand or better just fist bump me and say "Let's Roll!" Cheers, FreeTaiChiBOB p.s. This park has the potential for higher level of Tai Chi Chuan training. Mainland China needs to bring back lineage Internal Chinese Martial Artists before the Art gets too water down. The younger generation will be drinking hot brown water with boba instead of Real coffee with Real coffee beans. I've been in this park many many times when I was a member of a Baptist church at one 8 years ago and this is our meeting place for picnics and family gatherings and park is also a block away from my nephew's house in Mersey street. This park is usually busy in hot summer time because of the public pool and open to everyone. There are places here where you could sit down and lay down on a cover on the ground and have yourself a picnic and this place is well maintained and really looked after. Restrooms are available right by the pool side. A highly recommended park. read more

This park is perfect for jogging a bit. Its got a 1/3 mile paved trail that runs the perimeter. There is a beautiful pool area that was recently renovated and basketball/tennis courts. I was so sad to see the trees cut down by the tennis courts. Having grown up with these trees I felt attached. Apparently the roots of the trees were causing costly damage to the tennis courts far too often. If it were up to me I would have cut the tennis courts in half surrendering the one closest to the trees and left the trees alone. I thought it was very disrespectful of how the city handled this. For this review update I reduced one star in hopes somebody out there sees how a person who grew up here is not pleased. I doubt the people who made the decision to butcher these trees grew up in the area. read more

Haven't ran here in a year but finally decided to go back to my usual runs. Typically I run from my house to the park and do 2-3 laps. Its pretty spacious and with the remodeled play structure it looks better! There's a tennis court, swimming pool, basketball court, baseball fields, and two sets of playgrounds. I think its a great place for people to gather and have parties or go for a quick run/ walk. I highly recommend locals to check this park out! Parking is not hectic since you can park on the streets as well. I will be back soon for another run! read more

Love this small neighborhood park. Enough trees for my dog to chase squirrels. A nice pathway for walkers. There's also a mini baseball field for the little leagues. The two tennis courts are often occupied. During the winter, they are used as a soccer field underneath the the bright park lights. This park is very clean and safe. Away from any public transportation. Surrounded by nice homes. Great for familiy gatherings. Parking will be an issue in the mornings as the park is filled with Tai Chi patrons. read more

It's a nice big breezy park with many activities and facilities, including swimming pools and preschool classes! There's a paved path that goes around the baseball/softball fields. Big open grassy areas with big trees. There are also playgrounds for different age groups. Parking is plentiful. My one gripe is that there is ONLY ONE basketball court! It's always in use, while the 4 tennis courts are always empty. Definitely need more bball courts....sigh. read more

A good park to walk the dog. Somewhat noisy due to being sandwiched by the freeway. Seen lots of people use the park for picnics, day care. Quite a few tennis courts & a basketball court. But has a couple of playgrounds for the kids. Known for the swim center & water park for the kids. read more

I have been to this park for different parties but the one time I rent a spot For my birthday bbq had to wait to set up because it was people sitting at my tables play cards for money so I ask the park rangers can he have them to move he told me I can do but I said I would like it if you do so they don't think I'm being rude. So the park ranger told them they had to move. So I walk to my car to get my things to set up for my bbq and they still was sitting at my table while I was trying to set up with there things all over the place they was not trying to move so My husband had got upset and told them they have to move they shit because we trying to set up and we paid for this spot. They would have gotten a 5 star because the park is beautiful but they need to let these people know that they have to move when people have paid for the spot. read more

Quite the park! This is my favorite one in San Leandro! Nice & quiet in the morning. Good place to get your walk/jog on. Walk/jog around the paved area 3 times = 1 mile. (Just saving you some future calculations.. :-]) Two playgrounds located here. The one located closest to the parking lot is for ages 2-5. There is another playground towards the rear of the park for older children. Picnic and BBQ's are located throughout the park. Tennis courts & Family Aquatic Center (open during summer) Note: Be on the lookout for 6-10 old ladies who like to "play" cards here by the "tot" playground. TRUE STORY- I was sitting at one of the four available benches by this playground watching my child play on the slide and run through the tunnels when all of a sudden this OLG..(Old Lady Gang) walked over to me and their leader (probably only 5ft tall) told me to move somewhere else because they wanted to play cards where I was sitting..even though there was a vacant table with benches next to me. I honestly started to move. I don't know if it's because I was brought up to respect my elders or if because I feared being bullied. Then my inner *itch kicked in...hell no! All these benches with plenty of room..so I sat back down. She told me again. I just looked at her and told her to move, I was there first and finished by saying this is a pubic park and I could sit where I wanted. She turned to her friends and they all started speaking and laughing with one another in their mix matched clothing. I couldn't believe what had happened! They ended up chuckling their way over to the picnic table and bench that was next to me. Like seriously...I felt like I was back in elementary school being picked on. Major flashback! Like I had to stop myself from running to the Park Ranger to tell on them. Lol. Oh well. Be forewarned "OLG" crew thinks this place is their turf! read more

Really nice park that is big enough. Not small where you feel confined and not too big where it is too overwhelming. The staff keeps it very clean and neat. It is very popular in the morning and has a great round about trail that is wide and we'll paved. I just love walking around here and taking in the fresh air. There are big beautiful trees surrounding all over with a great basketball court and swimming center. There is a small kiddie playground and a larger playground for older children. Lots of benches for BBQ as well. Although the only thing I don't like is when bored teens come hang at the park... :/ read more
