These employees reserved half the dryers for dropoff. 3 dryers empty while there was a 30+ min wait for the other dryers. Unacceptable.

This place is terrible. They keep half of the only 10 dryers reserved for their drop off loads, even when there's a line for dryers and they're not immediately using them. Very unfriendly & it's not good business. Don't!

I've been using Washland for the past 7 months and things have gone well each week when I've come to do my laundry. I've heard stories of other laundromats in the area in which the staff can be rude, but I find the ladies here to be friendly and helpful. First off, it's awesome that they don't make you put cash into a machine to get coins. They can exchange your cash here for quarters even up to $20 bills. Second, they're quite efficient. I've done drop off service before and it's usually ready within 3 hours. Also, I've seen them do other people's laundry and they seem to do it well e.g. not dropping things everywhere, folding clothes well and putting them into a plastic bag before placing it back into the original bag the clothes were dropped off in. Third, they don't mess around. If you are there waiting for a dryer and they see that someone else's laundry is done but sitting there, they'll actually take it out so you can dry your clothes. I know not everyone likes this, but it sure as hell beats doing it yourself then feeling awkward about it later. Finally, the crowd seems friendly and everyone is just trying to get their clothes clean without much hassle and in a short time period.

I came to New York for few days traveling and this is the first time in my life to do laundry outside as we do not have this in my country! Also I never use dryer so have no idea about how long it will takes to dry my clothes! This Asian face lady (I'm from Asia too) is quite kind in the binging and show me how to start the laundry machine etc. When I started to dry my clothes, I was told one quarters will dry 6 minutes and this lady said you need another 4-5 quartets to put later. The I said I can probably check if it dry enough after this 6 minutes as I only got 4 pieces of summer T-shirts. Then she suddenly got mad and became very rude saying 'after this 6 minutes you go home and hang it in your place. You go home and don't use machine here' I have no ideas what happened! This is the first time I feel people are rude in US especially in NYC! I don't understand why checking the machine makes her crazy and In the end I put 3 quarters and my clothes are absolutely dry enough! I didn't not talk with her after she says that although I feel so sad and disrespected. I'm going back home tomorrow and will not have a chance to do laundry here again. I hope she can be kind to next traveler who never have such kind of laundry service in their country! Not everyone born to know!!

Immaculate floors!

Clean store and plenty of machines ready to go! Bonus: there is a park across the street you can wait in. :)

I like this laundromat. The attendant is fast and polite. The space is wide with ample carts and folding tables. It is bright, clean, and organized. They even offer free wifi but I don't know if it works. They have lots of signs to tell you info about cost for blankets, laundry bags, down jackets, jackets, quilts, soap, rugs and etc. I have to walk an extra two blocks to go here and it is worth it.

Burned my towel when I did drop off service and she was like...."oh well."

Machine is decent and place looks clean. Shortage of seating. Owner is there so it feels safe.

The washing machine was just about 30 min and the dryer 40 (or however long you set it for) They have 3 sizes of washers with different prices.

As other reviews have mentioned, this laundry service constantly adds new rules without informing customers. When I first signed up, I was told it was simple: pay the monthly fee, put my clothes in the bag, and text them for pickup. Over time, they kept introducing new restrictions without prior notice, making the process increasingly frustrating. If they had been upfront about their policies, I would have respected them--but instead, I was repeatedly spoken to rudely whenever I requested service. It got to the point where I genuinely dreaded asking for laundry pickup because I knew that I would be spoken to disrespectfully. The customer service here is shockingly bad. I could go on about the many issues, but here are just a few examples: - They initially told me they would air dry any clothes I placed in a separate bag. Then, out of nowhere, they claimed they never offered air drying. - I was suddenly informed that I couldn't drop off my clothes after 11 AM--something I was never told when I signed up. - I included a small blanket in my laundry, only to be charged an extra $10 without any prior confirmation, simply because it was a "different texture." And the worst part is that their tone over text is consistently rude and unprofessional. Whoever manages customer communications needs serious training in basic customer service. There are plenty of better laundry services out there. Save your money and go elsewhere! I'm so relieved that I finally decided to cancel my subscription and go somewhere else; don't make the same mistake I did.

My clothes often came back smelling like no detergent had been used, thoroughly wrinkled, or with mystery stains of no traceable. I put up with unreliable service because it was affordable and convenient. However the attitude of the person who coordinates pickup and delivery is so bad that no amount of savings is worth it. Do not recommend.

Once the change in management happened, the customer service has gone down. Though it is a low cost option, it doesn't need to treat its customers in the way they do. When there is issues with the laundry or payment, the store refuses to call they have the driver call with half the information. If you are bold enough to take the customers' money, you should be equally as bold to call the customer if their an issue. This is not how you do business. Especially one who has stood by the business through their transition. The worse if it is the person they have answering the phones doesn't even know how to explain the situation either. They don't do payments and it is someone else who does it. Its very frustrating when the service you are paying your money to complete a task doesn't know how to communicate to their clients. That is bad business practice.

They provide a 1.5-hour window for pickup and delivery but are consistently 2 to 3 hours late, making it impossible to plan around, especially if you need to go to work. They often call 10 minutes before arriving telling you they are at your door--if they have the correct address at all--which means you have to wait outside. Even if you're forced to take a work-from-home day because of their delays, the first few hours are still highly disruptive. On top of that, they have lost my laundry before and now rarely answer calls or texts. I used to love the convenience of this service, but unfortunately, I won't be using them again. Don't just read the reviews from before, that was when the service was good :(

Unfortunately, I'm saying "so long" to Fei's…read more I decided a while back to walk the extra distance to this laundromat because of so many other lousy self-service laundromats on the UES. This one was always clean, attendents were nice, and it was no fuss. Be aware, however, that customer loyalty means very little in the finer points. For example: If you wash at home and want to dry what you've washed they won't allow you this courtesy at their facility. This seems to be a fetish for a number of laundromats on the UES, especially if they are small: it upsets the flow of laundry in, laundry out. I don't think the owner ever shows up there so this is not negotiable. Understandable maybe, given that they must also fit in their drop off service loads. What's harder to understand is the minimum card charge on dry cleaning, especially when you drop off one item, and they don't tell you there is a minimum. Yes, there is a little sharpie-drawn notice off to the side, but it would be nice if the attendent would mention this at the drop-off. Not the attendent's fault, as they work very hard all day long. But this is an owner policy and decision. And after they are compelled to overcharge, they STILL decide to charge an extra 30 cents for the charge. At least the humor is free. And so, as the owner of my clothes, I too, have changed my policy, and made the decision to find another laundromat.
