The driving range net near the first tee is clearly too short, and from what I experienced, this has apparently been an ongoing problem for years without meaningful changes being made. During my round I was almost hit by golf balls three separate times, including being struck by a range ball on the first tee. There were already dozens of balls scattered around the tee box, making it obvious this is not some rare or unexpected occurrence. A warning over the loudspeaker does not fix an unsafe setup when range balls are consistently clearing the netting. Beyond the safety concerns, the course conditions have gone downhill badly compared to when I played about a year ago. The greens were extremely rough and bumpy, putting felt more like putting on cement than on maintained greens. The layout also feels overly cramped and tightly packed, which only adds to the safety concerns throughout the course. To top it off, my golf cart died before I could even finish the round. Overall the experience felt poorly maintained, overcrowded, and unsafe, which is disappointing because the course used to be in much better shape.

No flooding. The undulating greens are super challenging for having short holes. The longest hole would have to be the 15th. The pond is on the right and the trail is above on your left, too. Sometimes I think someone is angry when they're selecting where to place the pins, especially on the third. Who hurt you? LOL Today, it was the third, fifth and the fourteenth. The greens definitely have a lot of character. The fairways are kept, too. The little creeks between the holes are awesome, and the pond between the fourteenth and fifteenth holes always have beautiful swans and ducks in or around them. If you're looking to squeeze in a game so you can relax and have some quiet time, Arroyo Seco is the course where you'll want to be.

My experience has been far better than that... more like taking 10-14 strokes off my score, after only 4 lessons. I "played golf" for decades but had never taken a lesson. I am 75-years-old. I was initially worried that the golf coach would want to correct 50+ things all at once. Larry Salmi, my coach, only focused on a couple of things things each lesson. Their technology for me is really fun and instructive. While I am still not a "par" golfer, I am, for the most part, keeping it on my fairway. A relief to others on the course, and far more fun for me. Before Golftec I think I had only had 1 par in my life. Now I am disappointed when I don't get at least one birdie and a few pars in a round!

I love the fact that the lessons are indoor and has cameras so that he can show me and I can see what I need to change and work on. AND there's free parking !! Something I was worried about with getting lessons was not getting my money's worth. Sometimes instructors can be very chatty and I don't feel like I'm getting an actual full hour's worth of a lesson. If that is something you're concerned about, please consider Nowndale! Every time I come in for a lesson, it is jam packed with information and practice time. He really focuses on the lesson and your improvement. I feel very comfortable asking him questions (even if they feel silly) and he'll kindly answer and help me understand. I really have nothing negative to say. I have had 5 lessons and each one has been a very positive experience. I still have a lot to learn, but I can definitely say I have improved a lot since starting lessons.

I would like to formally raise a serious concern…read more After completing a round and returning the golf cart, whenever I contact the course about an item I accidentally left behind, I am consistently told that the item is "not found." This happens far too often to be considered coincidence. If the carts are returned to a designated area and handled only by staff, I need a clear explanation of who else has access to them after they are turned in. Just this past Tuesday, I left my Bushnell rangefinder attached to the cart. When I returned later the same day to inquire about it, I was informed that it was already missing. Previously, I have also lost a jacket under similar circumstances. Given that the golf course charges customers and is responsible for cart management, I believe it is reasonable to expect proper safeguards--such as cameras, documented checks, or a clear accountability process--to protect customers' personal property. Repeated losses without explanation reflect poorly on the level of service and responsibility expected from a professional golf facility.

This event is solely based on Annandale as an event space. When rain threatened to ruin the evening (event was being held outside on the lawn area) about two hours before the guests arrived the client had to make the decision to move the event inside and under the covered patio. When I say Annandale stepped up in a big way, I truly mean it. Every single staff member that was on their property from the valet to the maintenance guys to the servers help move about 30 tables and 300 (Ish) chairs inside, replace the linens, reset the tables, wipe off the chairs and make it look like it was always supposed to be set up that way. If you were a guest arriving at the event you would've never known what happened an hour earlier. The staff at this place is amazing from the banquet managers to the service managers wow just really can't say enough about this place. We do several events a year at Annandale and have never had any issues. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a fabulous event space with amazing food, great staff and beautiful ambience, this is your place!

I can only speak to the actual golf experience here which is what my review will entail. All the trappings you need for a golf course is there. There is grass where there needs to be and the essentials are well kept. Yes there are gopher holes littered throughout the fairway but then again I hack away at grass that can serve as a respite for other animals so...it's all fair. You get golfers from all levels and I often see The First Tee there using the putting areas or some of the holes to teach young ones the game. I'm all for that. Pace of play could be an issue as I can see some folks wanting to get 9 holes in relatively quickly and thats why they come here. If that's you, things might get a little tough here depending on who you run in to. Lastly, big shout out to holes 1-3 as some of the most fun holes to start a course in the area. It's been a minute since I've come to play here and maybe things have changed a bit but for what it's worth, this is a great place to come for super twilight, watching the sunset against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Foothills.

Only issue was that when we showed up our tee time reservation was non-existent. I showed the email confirmation and was assisted by Sam. He called golf now to investigate the issue. Turns out it was a system error. Fortunately, Sam was able to work with the starter and get us out almost exactly on time. Really appreciate his help! If the clouds hadn't swept it, it has excellent views including a view of downtown LA on a good (not hazy) day. The bar service was very good - they tracked every drink sold. The table service and food were also quite nice and friendly. Some tips: If you are walking outside on the ceramic tile floor and it's humid or misting, be careful - it can be quite slippery. The dance floor was around 25' x 25' and accommodated the DJ and lighting with no problems. Sight lines in the indoor facility were good. We had to shift from outdoor to indoor due to mist and rain. The facility flexed with no problems at all, making this seamless and STRESSLESS for the bride and groom. The staff was professional, and they kept the facility running well.
