Went in with a minivan that was running fine for routine 100,000+ mile maintenance. Spent $1,700+ and got back a vehicle that literally had to be jumped to start to leave the parking lot. Hadn't had to do that before. Has had to be jumped several times in the next few days (not resolved yet). Took it back to the shop and they say batteries (main and auxiliary) are bad. Disgusting Experience - Taking Advantage of a 21 year old kid My 21-year-old daughter took her car to Jeffrey's after previously speaking with them about a noise and needing an alignment. They told her she needed to replace her tires first before they could do the alignment--so she did, spending over $300 out of pocket to make sure everything was ready. When she dropped the car off, they assured her there would be NO charge for diagnostics. Fast forward: they hit her with a $5,015.75 estimate, $150 diagnostic charge, and still didn't even do the alignment due to supposed "extra parts" no one mentioned. Oh by the way, which Tu Do that is $1800 for a $65 alignment ...interesting! No one ever called her for, updates, or even a heads-up. Zero communication. She even told them when she dropped the car off that she needed it back the next day, and they said, "No problem." But by 4:30 PM Friday, still no call, no car, no update. When I called to get some answers, I was first met with confusion by Tony, the service manager, who had no clue what was going on. Then he passed me off to Aaron--who was disrespectful, defensive, and flat-out rude, and then hung up on me mid-conversation. Let me repeat: they charged her $150 her for "diagnostics" that were supposed to be free, kept her car without doing the work and now won't do the work- and say to come pick up the car at 5:30 on Friday . She brought it in for and alignment, and slapped her with a $5,000+ surprise estimate--with absolutely no communication. This feels like a blatant attempt to take advantage of a young woman who's trying to be responsible and take care of her vehicle and do what she is told. Driving home from work at 8:00 at night is not when you're ready for your normally very reliable car to just die in traffic. As I was waiting for the tow truck, a nice woman stopped to make sure I was okay. During our conversation, she suggested Jefferey's Automotive as her now retired father has once worked there and she could vouch for their work and integrity. And she didn't steer me wrong. I came to Jeffrey's because of the great reviews on google. I needed an oil change and was due for a brake inspection. Tech said I needed new rotors, brake pads, and brake dust cleaning. The mileage on my car at the time made me question needing new rotors. I took it to a second shop who said I needed new brake pads and brake dust cleaning but my rotors were fine, all they needed was to be resurfaced as there was limited warping and still well above minimum thickness. In short, my rotors had plenty of life left. It's as if Jeffrey's Auto knew my rotors just needed to be resurfaced but it can be quicker and more lucrative to just replace the rotors, so they recommended that. You have to be careful with mechanic shops. Dealerships are notorious for this, but even smaller mechanical shops may try to get you on unnecessary repairs. Always get a second opinion and where/when possible, have them show you read more

After waiting an hour we get a call from them asking about how to start my vehicle (there's a trick to starting it) the fact that they couldn't start the car wasn't the problem, but the fact that they hadn't even tried to start it to begin the alignment after an hour was ridiculous. We had to drive back to start the car for them just so they could say they'd, "get to it soon"... we decided to wait outside in our car. It ended up taking them a whole hour and a half for them to come back out and actual start the job, (remember they had said it would only be 40min to an hour to get it done in the first place). We ended up waiting on a 40 minute to an hour job for almost four hours. Do not go here. read more

Most of the time you think of a garage or auto shop, you may be suspicious of if you go in for an oil change, will they tell you your car or truck needs a bunch more work, of if you need work done, they will over charge you. NOT here! Jeffrey's Automotive is the real deal. So happy that after getting new tires at Discount Tire and finding out that I needed an alignment, that they referred me to Jeffrey's! I called and made an appointment. They took my car in and changed the oil, and gave my car the alignment that it required. They were very busy, but my car came back as promised and all the work had been completed. So as I braced for the bill, I was very surprised that it was much lower than I thought. They didn't try and sell me stuff I didn't need and the prices were very reasonable! Oh and that staff as very nice and explained to me before hand and afterwords what had been done and let me know of any future things to consider. As I mentioned earlier, they were busy (and I am imagine they stay that way pleasing the customers as they do with great service, a friendly smile and very reasonable prices!), so I highly recommend you call ahead for any appointment. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Took my truck in for an alignment and was told I needed new brakes, tires and ball joints. I just had my breaks done last month, so I knew that was a lie. Took my car to another shop and they showed me that my ball joints did not need to be replaced. Jeffrey's Automotive tried to jack up my bill by thousands, when all I needed was an alignment. If I could give them a zero, I would. Discount tire gave me a coupon for a computerized wheel alignment after I bought new tires. So, I went there on their suggestion... After waiting a long while Jeffrey Automotive guy came out to say I needed FRONT struts and gave me a $1400 estimate for that. And asked if I wanted them to do the job. I said I could not right now and took the estimate. They then proceeded to say they are going to do the alignment now which I had been waiting for... Being a woman, it makes one wonder... It seems this place seen dollar signs instead of having any ethics or morals because I then took my car for a second opinion to Cline Automotive. They said no problem at all with the struts, it only needs REAR bearing and will cost $330. This is absolutely disgusting that Jeffrey Automotive would give me an estimate for $1400 for struts that were NOT in need of repair and bypass a problem, less expense and not make me aware of it since they examined my car without my asking them to. PLUS, they let my REAL problem go without mention... Could it be their price of the struts would bring them in more money??? TERRIBLE way to do business. They charged $243! At the end of the day the total was almost $500. That's ridiculously overpriced. Do you research before using them. He tried to make me feel better by saying the part is under warranty for two years. Well duh!! O'reilly auto is next door to them. I know exactly how much that part cost and exactly how much labor is suppose to cost. Your dishonesty will cost you customers. I went in for a tire alignment for $75 and they said to do it they need to replace my control arms for $1,100 and that my brake discs and pads need replacing for $900. I declined, replace my own break pads for $63, the disc did not need replacing (they were in good shape), and there was not much wrong with my control arms. At the very most the bushings could get changed out because they were slightly worn. This place is a scam. Do not go here. read more

this company basically stole over $6000 of my money !!!!! brought my 2014 ford powerstroke 6.7l in to get all the problems fixed that i had with it and ended up spending $6,333. they didn't fix shit!! yes they put some new parts on cool. still didn't fix the main issue which was my oil leak and my turbo leak. here's another pissed off issue. i have an off-road tune on my truck and because of that they weren't able to connect to my pcm because it isn't a factory tune so i need to take it to a diesel specialist to fix my tune and turbo issues as well as my oil pan leak.... bro would have been nice if they just charged me for the diagnostic and then let me spend $6,333 !!!!! at a place that can actually fix my problems... nope they chose to take my money first then let me know it still needs more work read more

We originally got our clutch replaced at Service Plus, who did not install it correctly and completely denied this while blaming the issues my car was still having on the transmission. Jeffrey's confirmed that the transmission did need replacing AND that the clutch was not properly installed. They took great care of us. We got our car back within 1 business day, and they even waived the diagnostic test and labor for finding and fixing the mistakes Service Plus made on the clutch.
