First, I wish I could give Water Heaters Masters more than 5 stars! Now the backstory - On Monday Sept 23, I realized something was wrong with my on-demand water heater as I was not getting hot water at my kitchen sink faucet. When I went to check the water heater, there was water leaking from the unit onto the wood floor of the external closet where it's located. It was installed by Valley Water Heating 12 years ago, so I called them and was told they could not be out to even inspect it until Thursday Sept 26th! Three days without hot water and a leaking unit!! Um, no! So I did some quick checking online and Water Heaters Masters had a LOT of great reviews...I decided to trust those reviews and called, speaking to Alex. At first he mentioned he may not be able to get someone out until Tuesday. In my mind I thought that was MUCH better than Thursday. Then he said, "Actually I've got a tech in Santa Clara who could come by the same day (Monday) to inspect it, assuring me it would not be able to be fixed that day. I was SO grateful to say the least!! Alex also put me on the schedule for Tuesday for the followup appointment. Jorge showed up that afternoon, inspected my water heater and explained the options. Basically fixing or replacing the unit. Given that is was 12 years old, I decided replacement. He answered ALL my MANY questions in detail. I braced for being told that it would be a few days to get the needed parts in, but was VERY pleasantly surprised to be told, "No, I can come back tomorrow and replace it, with the help of another tech". We just had a new water heater installed and it couldn't have been easier. Our installation was a little complicated because we were also getting mold remediated from behind the old water heater, so the removal and installation had to be done on separate days. Alex was super accommodating and even sent someone out again after we discovered our shower has a "pressure balance valve" that prevents any water flow without a pressurized hot water line. I think it's great that they specialize in water heaters and probably do a ton of installs. Lots of experience. I assume that's why they were able to provide an affordable quote very quickly, and the install looks and works great. One piece of advice / feedback: ask them to flush your new water heater. Maybe they actually did once with mine, but I noticed a slight propane smell from the hot water for the first day. I called Alex about this and he put my mind at ease that this is normal (especially if you have a sensitive nose), and it was gone after I ran the hot water a bit on the first day. read more

We had a water heater start leaking in our rental and since it was 14 years old we decided to replace it. Brian came out and had everything done in less than 2 hours! New water heater looked great and was working fine. Strangely enough the water heater in our main house also went out! So Brian again came out the next day and replaced the water heater and again did a great job. A few weeks went by and the first water heater started shutting itself off. Relighting the pilot light worked but the next day it did the same thing. Brian came out right away and replaced a sensor. But then the next day it happened again so he replaced the thermostat. While he was there, he asked if it was possible that we had a water leak. We never saw any water so didn't think it was the reason. Well it cut off again and when he came out again, he walked around a bit outside and found a bad water leak under the house! We're very grateful for the fast service and finding the root cause. They don't do other types of plumbing repair but at least we knew what the issue was. After fixing the leak, no more issues with the water heater. On a Friday afternoon about 4:30 PM, I got home and opened my garage and found large amounts of water. It appeared that my water heater had leaked.
