Water Heater Masters sent Jason to evaluate my water heater issue. My water heater was under warranty, so the manufacturer, Rheem, send a replacement part. The package Rheem sent contained only one of the two needed parts, so Jason installed the part that did arrive. After contacting Rheem again, and getting the second parts package, Jason came again, on a Saturday morning, to finish installing the parts installation, for no additional charge. I was given a quote for a standard water heater and asked for information on a tankless water heater. I was then given an appointment to have another technician come out to give me the information and pricing for it. Michael came out delivered the estimate and the work was Scheduled for the next day. He was prompt and completed the work with in the time frame given. I highly recommend them, they are prompt, courteous, efficient and communicate well. We've always had a problem getting hot water to the upstairs bathroom without wasting water. We considered a tankless water heater and called Water Heater Masters. Price quoted was more reasonable compared to another general plumber, and when they arrived for the appointment there was no hidden fees or increase in cost. They were able to schedule us for Tuesday morning and finished the work in less than two hours. Exceeded my expectations!! We are doing upgrades/repairs and 16 years is good enough, so we decide to change it. No emergency. April 17 I posted an inquiry to Yelp, Mathew replied first. He quoted a price immediately $1475, sight unseen, and answered my list of questions. I took a week to research BAYREN energy credits, other vendors, had on site visit & quote from BAYREN certified on April 25. He and one other wanted to sell me overflow buckets, and pressure isolation valves. Their price $3000. April 26 I called Mathew back to book a day for visit to quote on 5 May (9 days away).. but I sent fotos and got a quote instantly $1475. Scheduled an install a week out, but an opening came up and installed on 28 April. Time from Yelp posting to happy install..11 days ( which includes a week of my research) The installation took less than two hours, Mathew should hire more people like Brian....On time, On task. He responded to my concerns: possible leaking vent valve, carbon deposits around the chimney, sediment possibly dirtying the HOA driveway, cleaning the chimney vent, sediment in the bath faucet.. Well, it's coming up on nearly 2 months now, & so far, so good. As is wont to happen when you own a home, things just crap out without warning. Such was the case with my water heater. Going to work on a morning as random as any other, I was greeted by a stream of water flowing through my garage directly from my water heater. After sufficient stages of grief for my future loss of $$$$, calling around for estimates, & having a couple businesses come out to take a look, I decided it was the job of Water Heaters Masters to end the cold showers in my house. It would take a day to get some required parts in & the appointment was set for the day after that. They got the job done in a single day. Which was great. But with a few hiccups. To be fair, though, my townhouse uses a water furnace rather than a less complicated plug & play water heater that a lot of houses have in their garages. So it wasn't the immaculate installation. But it all worked out in the end. & they worked hard to make it so. OK....so we bought a new home 3 years ago with a tankless water heater. We have EXTREMELY hard water. I THOUGHT tankless water heaters were maintenance free. WRONG!!!! Now after 3 years I'm taking my shower head off every 2 days because there are STONES in the screen where the water comes in from the pipe to the shower head. Every two days I AIN'T GETTING NO WATER BECAUSE THE STONES ARE BLOCKING THE SHOWER HEAD UP!!!! Call a plumber....he says it's because of "scaling in the water heater. ??????????! OK.... So fix it!!!! These guys were a life saver. Our 8-year old water heater crapped out right before a weekend and we were going to be in a bind. I called these guys up based on other reviews and they dropped by in 2 hours and had a brand new water heater with recirculator pump installed in about 4 hours. I believe Julio was the installer and he did a pretty stellar job. He kept everything well cleaned, and installed the recirculator pump correctly (our old one from previous owners was not installed correctly). I think I finally picked a great repair company! After several false starts with other companies, Water Heaters Masters gave me a fast and reasonable quote, came out the next day to replace my old tankless unit and even drove halfway across the Bay Area and back to get the last available tankless heater available due to some issue with a container ship. Sam was amazing! Showed up on time or early and kept me in the loop if it was going to be longer than anticipated. He gave me just the right amount of information so I could understand what was needed without my eyes glazing over from plumbing overload (plumbing overload sounds more suggestive than I meant it to...but you know what I mean!) His work was clean and careful - he obviously takes pride in what he does. After several stinky days, I have hot water again and can shower in my own home! I can't thank them enough! Our water heater started making backfire sounds and the flame was making a stuttering sound. Eventually the water heater gave out, scheduled an appointment the day before and the installer came out the next day. The guy that came out was straight forward and pointed out what he would replace and have to do. Along with what he may not be able to do. During the replacement the 7 year old water heater had too much settlement in the tank that was clogging up the drain valve. He had to move the water tank filled with water which was an energy sucker. I went outside to help him drain the tank, while he worked on installing the new tank. He replaced all the parts that were mentioned and was able to reuse the existing piping for the pressure release valve. Overall great job. read more
