The comment by the company that I am a competitor and my review is not real is 100% false. I stand by my original review that Waterworks is UNETHICAL and provides HORRIBLE customer service. I have receipts to prove I was a customer for over 10 years. This is just another example of how terrible the company is and how they don't take responsibility for their mistakes. After I posted my review, I went in and read the other one- star reviews of this company and completely agree with the other reviewers. Yes, Roger the owner was rude, threatening and unapologetic. When you call to complain, they place you on hold hoping that you will be tired of waiting and go away. But if you keep calling, they will blame you for the problem and yell at you, And then when you post a negative review online, the office attempts to discredit the bad reviews by blaming the reviewer or saying they're not authentic customers. These are not isolated incidents. There is an obvious customer service pattern here. And it comes from the top of the company. The Water Works team has provided a very high level of quality service, installing and maintaining the irrigation system they installed. My experience has been without issue and they have consistently met my expectations. Their technicians arrive when schedule, explain what they intended to do, make recommendations if needed and provide great service. I find Water Works to be very responsive and very reliable. Had Water Works install a new system at my home after receiving several quotes. Found WW to be the most comprehensive and best value. There were a couple of minor hiccups (parts not on truck for one component) for initial install but this was remedied within a reasonable amount of time without having to schedule someone at home. Several homes in our neighborhood have used Water Works for sprinkler installs and and I haven't heard any complaints. Have recommended to other neighbors as well. Thanks! read more

Stay clear. Spent a lot of money with this company over the years and I consistently get treated poorly. Their customer service is horrible and they don't stand by their work. If I could give them zero stars I would. My yard is a complete mess due to their incompetence. I'm going to have to pay a lot more money to redo what should have already been done. Water Works was the cheapest quote to install my irrigation system, but I have paid the price since then. This summer I wanted to simply move a couple of sprinkler heads and WaterWorks literally couldn't get the right crew to come out to make the minor changes. One of their crew members even became angry and began yelling at my wife about it. Now, at the end of the season, when shutting down our service for the season, they shut it down in such a way that our entire house is without any water service. When I called to ask them to come back, they flat our refused to return for the day. It has been beyond frustrating working with this company. They finished the job fall 2019 and are still holding bond $ that have been refunded to them long ago. They say they have refunded the bond $ me then they don't, when you call they just say it is winter and they have no staff, now it is spring and they are too busy. I can not say how horrible and unethical this company is. We had an uneventful sprinkler install and first couple years of very routine maintenance with them. That is until the signed me up for a service contract without performing an ounce of work. I did make and appointment and gave them a credit card number to charge once the work was performed, but I called and cancelled service before they came out and no paperwork was never completed. The word "contract" was never even mentioned when I made my service appointment and gave them my credit card number. After they charged me $300 and fraudulently provided me with "emails" that my husband "sent to them" confirming a contract (this email address was inactive for over a year before these "emails" were sent). They tried to set things right when they realized that these emails were fake by apologizing, letting go of the girl responsible and verbally telling me that we would receive 3 years of free service. Well, low and behold, the next year, they don't have any written proof that they told me this and will not honor it. I would not let this company on my property again if they paid me. I am disgusted with their ethics and am disappointed in myself for not pursuing legal actions when I had the chance. Bottom line - horrible customer service and unethical business practices. ***after the fact, I found the email proving they would provide 3 years of service; however, they should have this on file. They installed an in-ground irrigation system for us in the Fall of 2018. The installation was very good and they were cost competitive. Also, they provide 2 years of free system start-ups and shut-downs. read more

Just read the response from Karen Z. Told lie. Everything was never okay. The "free" turn on and off service is still valid per the contract but I refuse to have them do this as they are so untrustworthy. Given the experience to date I'm sure they would want to charge me to make modifications to the system which were originally part of the contract. If they really want to fix the problem they should replace the inferior sprinkler heads with those called for in the contract. How about it Roger! read more

Most horrible company I ever hired!! Don't show up for third service as they suppose to and don't call in advance to let me know they are 20-30 minutes away. They overcharged me and took my money from card on file and didn't complete the services they promised to. Poor and unprofessional customer service! Loves to make excuses to avoid giving refunds such as one person says the business person isn't here and to call back tomorrow and next day they say they don't have business person. Then 3rd day I called to fight for my refund back they said they had wrong address to show up to my house for next service when they already came here twice. What a joke !! Do not hire them!! They just eat up your money and show no care for coming back to your sprinkler system after installed. I am still fighting for my refund; but more likely I have to report them to BBB and my credit card company for not being cooperative with giving me a refund. I hired new company and they were so much better and they were so honest and professional!! Lesson learned to check reviews before hiring. In response to Karen on my post from 8/1. 1. You may want to do everything to make your customers 100% happy but based on my dealings with Roger, Steve and Steve they may not be on the same page. 2. Yes you were out here several times at no change because it was included in the price I paid. You were out here to seed the lawn after it was ripped up in areas where it wasn't supposed to be. You turned the system off, you turned the system on and to address not passing the inspection. All included in the price I paid. So your response is not totally accurate. 3. I have paperwork to prove that the system didn't pass inspection and I sent it to your company which prompted one of the visits. I still had to hire another company to come out and move the controller and fix the issue that didn't pass the inspection. So yes, the inspection has been passed but not because of your company. 4. Yes, I do have soaker hoses because I had a few trees planted. The sprinkler system was supposed to be turned on prior to the trees being planted but it didn't happen because the turn on was cancelled and the rescheduled turn on was on a day that you don't service my area so I had to wait two more weeks to get it turned on. I used the soaker hoses to water the new trees. 5. Yes, I am happy I have a sprinkler system and my lawn does look great but what made me unhappy is how your company handled the install and the subsequent problems. 6. My advice to you is to work with your people and ask them what needs to be done to make your company better. You may care but most certainly some do not. If you are going to be in a customer based business you need to listen to what customers are telling you. Not all customers are out to give bad reviews. In fact, I would say it is the opposite. There is truth in what is being said. 7. In the meantime - I will not have any further dealing with your company as I AM FIRING YOU. I will work with another company to have my system turned on and off even though I still had another year included in the price I already paid. Here is a follow up. Unfortunately, I am not a competitor as mentioned by Karen Z. We received an e-mail telling us to take down our online review or our warranty is void...so I guess they do know who we are unlike their Yelp response. They could of said they stand by their work, solved the problem and asked if we received a fair deal for what we paid and had a very satisfied customer but they didn't want to hear about any problems or issues. I totally get that there can be issues when getting any work done but the utter contempt on how we were treated was totally disconcerting. Water Works then called to have us take down our review and I returned their call to try to rectify the problem but there was no discussing what was at issue and I really wanted to solve the problem and remove the review if they upheld their end of the deal. Then I was dealt with very negatively and I have never been more insulted over any business dealing in my life. I don't think any competitor would waste their time here on Yelp like myself and some of their other former customer. I can work through problems and I truly wanted to resolve this and put this behind both of us but to get berated and insulted on the phone was beyond belief. We bought our house and it already had the sprinkler system in place. The first time we had to do the shut down the guy who came out was very knowledgeable and taught me how to tweak the sprinklers if ever needed. Since then we have only had a couple broken heads and one time an animal chew through some wiring that the tech resolved during our yearly turn up. Water Works has been great to deal with for our sprinkler system. Any issue with the system is always resolved in a timely manner (usually at turn up or shut down). read more

I got quotes for four different companies. The Sales guy Steve form Water Works came out and gave me a very good quote i got a lot of extras that only this company offered me like a lifetime warranty and free starts ups and shut downs. The office people did all the paperwork and the crew came out and installed my system in one day. They did a wonderful job and i am enjoying my new system. Thanks a lot Water Works. Just had my 30 day service call done. they put my on right away and check thro and made sure i was happy before the tech left. In response to my original posting on 6/12/2018, these people are just dishonest business owners. First, I never spoke to "Karen Z." so I'm not sure where she's getting her information. Second, the three cracks to the copper pipe were on the outside of the home, not the inside as she stated. Third, I didn't "accidently" turn on the water inside the house. You make it sound like I went outside, climbed between the bushes, turned the shutoff valve in the closed position, then went inside the house and downstairs to the basement, opened up the storage room door and "accidently" turned on the water. Why would I do that? Next time, train your people the proper way to disconnect a system. Any honorable business person would back up their service commitment and resolve this issue instead of calling their customers "liars" and hanging up on them. Water Works installed our system many years ago. It has been working great ever since, saving us all the time we used to spend watering the lawn. Water works installed both a multi-zone sprinkler system and low voltage landscape lighting system for me over a decade ago. The layout of each, as well as the guts of the systems have both held up very well over time. Honestly,they did have some service issues in the early years. Over the past few years this has improved markedly. Their customer service people are friendly. The technicians are knowledgeable and show up when scheduled. I have their annual service plan and they have always stood behind the spirit, not just the letter of it. The past brutal winter did some damage to the system that required a fair amount of work related to start up. I am very pleased with how it was all handled, including good suggestions on how to cost-effectively modernize the system. read more
