Bought 7 pallets (1120 sq ft.) of travertine, and discovered 5 piece from each pallete was broken upon delivery. Told the delivery guy about the broken travertine and he stated that is something I have to deal with the seller, I did not sign anything for the delivery guy. Took picture and on phone and talked to the seller and stated he would took care of it. I felt comforted from his statement, but upon bringing the broken travertine, seller said he will not exchange the broken since on the receipt said "sold as is" and I asked how does he know if we broke it ourself? I told him why would we want to break something we paid and take the trouble of loading a bunch on a truck to waiste time and gas, a good business man would understand this logic and help his customer out? I was about to buy another 1000 sq. ft. but no more business from me for this seller. The lesson i learned is that make sure to inspect the pallets and mark them so the seller does not switch out good and put broken ones in. Another thing is to make seller and delivery truck accountable with a written contract. Else, take your money somewhere else who will do better business practice. I am going to file a comsumer complaint to the state board, BBB, and other actions. I gave the seller a chance to settle peacefully but he did not want to since he state he will lose money. What a fraudulent world we live in, so becareful and beware! If Yelp allowed to give a 0 star, I would have given this rating a 0 star in a heart beat. read more
