Fast forward to Ricky at Garage Door Pro who went above and beyond to research for options outside of his normal network. He ended up finding a Harmonn model that fit the bill, which was more reasonably priced. The new supplier had a delay and shipping issues that weren't Ricky's fault but he constantly kept tab on things for us. After a couple of months, the door arrived and Ricky delivered/installed it within a week in less than 4 hours. It came with a fresh door track, trim and other parts. So far, we haven't had any issues and I don't anticipate any but we have a 90-day service warranty and 3 year product warranty. He figured out the problem in moments (a connection had been severed by the high winds and hail) and did a little maintenance since he was being paid for an hour anyway. However, my garage door opener was also pushing 20 years old so I knew that I may be interested in a new one. Thomas was incredibly informative about the process, explained my options, and never put on a hard sell. He gave me a price for an all-in change/service and when I hedged bit at the price and wanted a bit less, he accepted without pushing back. I'm the type of person where a hard sell will likely end up in no sale, so his approach was perfect. Thomas was here for around an hour replacing the opener, the wheels, and servicing the entire door/mechanics. He was incredibly informative and took the time - despite the 100 degree heat in my garage - to explain everything about the new unit, how to program it, what options I had, what my warranty details were, etc. One other thing to note is the price point. After many conversations he (scott) said we will get a door installed in Dec. They sent a door with damaged parts. After contacting BBB he, Scott again said he would rectify problem next week.
