Your a bully and you try to intimidate people to get your business and work for you.. We hired Jay to work on our home. We paid him $2350 but he did not complete the job. We had $600 dues to us and he kept saying it was used for other services without itemizing the other services or giving us a breakdown for the cost of the "other services". One of the items on our list was to fix the bolt on the gate. I sent him a video of the shoddy job. He admitted it was badly done and he would go back to complete it. He took our money and did not complete the job. When I tried to communicate with him, he was rude and hung up on me. When I called him again to request the completion of the job, he berated me. Very rude and off putting. I found him on Craig's list and set up a lawn mowing for a vacant property of mine. He let me know late in the evening that he'd be mowing the next day Between 9-5 and needed cash and to leave it under the mat. I let him know I couldn't get over there til the afternoon and would leave the money in a lockbox and would give him the code upon completion or I could Venmo the cash He basically texted me an aggressive, unaccommodating, spiel about not needing my money and not trusting me( see pics). Then he called me and I explained I have small children and no babysitter tomorrow and just couldn't get to the house til the afternoon. Needed some brush hauled and saw on ad on Craigslist. I texted a photo and had a quote and appointment scheduled to clear it out within 10 minutes. Jay arrived early the next morning and was nearly done by time I got out the front door. He went the extra mile and used a blower to clean up the driveway on his way out. Messaged Jay on Monday to move an entertainment center, and asked to have an official time given to me by Thursday after he said he could on Saturday for $78. He said he would have someone to help him move it Saturday, so that was the best day. Thursday rolls around & no official time given. I reach out to him Thursday & ask to solidify a time, and we agree on 1 pm. Today comes (Saturday) and I reach out to confirm at 10:30 via text about 1 pm meet up, and then Jay calls me. I should have known something was up when he asked if I had someone there to help him lift. I had to remind him that he had previously said he would have someone, then he quickly said 'oh yeah, I'll go get him'. He then tried to move up our meet up & I said no, 1 pm was what we had told the pick up location. He sounded annoyed but I thought nothing of it until 1 pm rolled around & no Jay. I called & left a VM, messaged twice, and at 1:20 sent a last 'Guess you aren't showing up' message. Unreliable and fraud. Beware!! I found J from craigslist. His ad on craigslist looks like this: $20 Lawn Care $25 Hauling $20 Handy Man (Google 5 star Review (Round rock- Austin) J claimed to have prior fence building experience and showed some pictures. Gave him a small horizontal fence with a gate job. The fence turned out to be crooked but thats OK but the gate is not functional as the bottom is flush to the walk way. No gap was left between the walkway and the gate while installing it. J finds to be my fault as I wanted a horizontal gate and I should lower the concrete walkway slab by a couple of inches so the gate can be functional. I had to argue with him that his argument was stupid. The walkway was always there and it was the gate that should have been installed as suited. Even if it was walkways fault, they should have made me aware of the issue and the consequences so I could have planned better. His partner/helper Ray agreed to come and fix the issue but they never showed up as promised and does not respond to calls or texts anymore. This so call excellent work left me waiting the whole day of Saturday not even a contact to inform he was to wrap up st work. Today he said he would be here within 2 hours 5 hours later he reply with this very approachable statement. By his info he was out side of my house and couldn't even be professional enough to tell me in person hey it is to cold and was drizzling I won't be able to do it today. Cool I still had as to put insulation on my laundry area and garage and install a sliding shower door... please be aware while dealing with a lack of professionalism, no work ethics, rude and very child like. I would strongly recommend to not require his service per the description and how rude he was you know what kind of services he will provide. Cut the scammers and unethical works. I had a house with a lot of junk in the garage that needed more than my pickup would haul and I called Jay. He brought a large trailer with tall side walls, and began loading the two lines of boxed and stacked refuse and in a short time he had it loaded. But he didn't stop... He said "You dont want to keep That, do you," and proceeded to empty the garage of everything that wasn't worth a dollar. My garage looked like it was new.
