I walked in with two people, three more friends were on their way to join us, but, given the lack of food options, we all decided to leave B&B early and reconvene at another local place that had both beer and food we all could eat. In addition to not having anything vegan to eat (not even potato chips!),we were not allowed to order food to be delivered. Although this was communicated politely, it's actually a very rude thing to impose on customers. So, on one hand, if vegans aren't this businesses main focus, its totally understandable not to go through great lengths to cater to us- But, it is an extremely poor business practice to both not serve vegan food and not allow customers to order their own food. Given the number of areas businesses that value vegan customers, it shouldn't be too hard to replace B&B in our rotation.

What really adds to the charm is the building's history. Originally built in 1837 as a private academy, it later served as a Civil War veterans' hall before becoming home to the brewery. I've always seen the same, friendly bar tender and always taken advantage of the well-priced beers of the month, which ranges over a wide variety of beer types. Sure, it is a dimly lit, well worn dive, but this place is overloaded with character. If you are not a townie or Keene State academic, then "roll deep" as they say and bring your own good time. I spy darts, a foosball table, and popcorn machine with legs like Betty Grable!
