The same overly familiar server thanked us for our patience, said that he checked on the order assuming it got lost but then was informed that no, it's just slow. I said that, yes, we had been waiting long and that we were getting quite hungry. He assured us our mains would not be that long and then added "Yes, this has been the shift from hell." The mains did arrive more promptly, and they were... fine. The pasta was overcooked by a fair degree, and sauces were of a quality that any decent amateur home cook could make themselves. The pizza had an excellent crust. But when you're paying this much for a meal, you want more than a good pizza pie. Server arrived later saying that to apologize for the wait, desserts would be comped, but then... we waited so long to put in a dessert order we just asked for our check. So: incredibly slow.
