As soon as my wife and I walked in we were immediately greeted with a friendly employee who was at the counter. We went to sit down and order our food from the QR code, you can also order up front at the kiosk. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of this establishment. The ordering process was simple and user friendly. It only took about 10 mins for our food to come to out. It was brought to us by the friendly employee who greeted us. She said we ordered some good items and we told her it was our first time here. I ordered the avocado and peanut roll, the employee told me the eel sauce goes great with the roll and she brought me a little sample of the sauce. She was right, it was a delicious combination. We also ordered the tuna tataki, yellowtail jalapeño, and salmon cucumber roll, all were also delicious. The food is served in take out boxes/bowls which is smart and that's why I think the cost of the sushi is very affordable. You will get your soy sauce packets, chopsticks, napkins, forks, straws, and small sauce tray from the self serve station. They have a lot of different sauces to order as well for an additional charge. A great way to keep the costs down. As an Eagan native, this is the third restaurant I've seen at this location. I enjoyed sushi at the last place that was here, so I figured I'd give it a shot. First, this place is definitely more for pickup, as there is hardly any seating and it looks like you get your sushi packaged up the same whether you eat it at the restaurant or take it to go. You walk in and right away there's a desk area where you can pick up your order. I ordered for pickup on New Year's Eve and was later than anticipated picking up my order. I was surprised to find that not only was my food not ready, but there were also around 15 other people waiting. Honestly, I assume this is one of the busiest days to pick up, so I was fine waiting. The gal at the front desk was very kind and offered drinks to those of us waiting. The sushi came in pretty packaging, and I had no complaints on the sushi taste - it was pretty much as expected. My first time trying Fuji sushi!! I've been hearing a lot about this place so, I am so excited I got to try it out. I ordered it through Doordash so I still need to check it out in person. The box they give it in was very aesthetic, it reminds of the ones they do in New York. I shared with my friends, we ordered about four boxes of a combination of different types. I would say for having this to-go everything was so fresh and delicious! I love sushi so, I would say I am picky on what I eat but I highly recommend for everyone to try. Usually when I get take out sushi it isn't this fresh so that is definitely a plus. As soon as you walk in someone is there to greet you, and asks if you're there for sit down or take out. They have a ton of seating if you'd like to eat there and you can even see the chefs prepping the meals! It is a normal sit down place that I would say people spend an hour max at. We saw a Instagram Reel about this spot, so we decided to check it out on a Friday night! There were some pros and cons to this newer spot that I'm sure they will work out over time. On a positive note, you order electronically as you enter the restaurant. Some might find this cumbersome and more work, but I liked that it streamlined the approach. The food came quickly and nicely presented. The dumpling appetizers and sushi rolls (spicy tuna and Philly) were great. I appreciated that they came split into separate boxes so my partner and I could each have our own little box. The staff at the ordering tablet was very friendly and welcoming! There were some areas of improvement that I would expect before coming back. There aren't nearly enough tables to fill the space. While there were open tables, the small number of them made the space feel empty and unintentional. There wasn't any water available easily in the restaurant. We asked the staff member for water and she brought us bottles, but I was under the impression that we were probably supposed to pay for them. We ordered seaweed salad, which came served to us frozen. We tried to let it thaw while enjoying our other food, but eventually just gave up, as it wasn't enjoyable to eat. Overall, the sushi rolls and hot appetizers were great! I think the value is appropriate for the prices. I wanted to order 2 rolls and I saw the two roll special for $10.99 which I thought was a great price. But I did not want soda that came with it and said should I just order the regular rolls and she said it would be more expensive. Because each roll on the menu was $5.99. The California rolls were fantastic, the crunchy shrimp rolls were good but the sauce was just a little sweet for my taste but in no way bad. The shrimp tempura was hot and perfectly crunchy. We ordered 100 dollars worth of items on the menu including sashimi ( picture attached of all ordered). The hamachi and tuna sashimi was better than expected. Did not smell fishy and the fish melted in our mouths. We moved from Washington state and our bar has been set low for minnesota sushi so we were blown away with the quality of the fish.
