Staff was rude and snobby. No thanks. I will go to Dicks or another surf shop. Don't waste your time.

Lots to choose from at this place. Staff is laid back as you would expect from a surf shop. Been back a few times already.

We learned about Soul Grind and were told all of our options since this was our first time buying a skateboard. We have zero experience. Like, nobody in our family has ever ridden a skateboard prior to our visit to this store. The shop is small but has everything any skateboard enthusiast needs. I learned that most skateboard shops are really clothes and accessories retail stores with a spatter of actual skate boards. Soul Grind has exactly what they advertise...Skateboards. With Olivia's help, and with much attention to detail, we chose a beautiful black board with red wheels. If you are new to skateboarding like we are and want to go to a store with a great selection of boards and even better customer service, you need to stop by Soul Grind. I forgot to mention the most important details about this store. You have an option to customize your board from scratch if you'd like! Check them out and support a tiny, but mighty business. We are very happy with every detail about our visit! Thanks, Ashley Head and sons

We went down to take a look & they had a nice variety of nice looking boards. We were met with equally friendly attention to our needs. The prices are fair market value in my opinion. I must say my son could not decide and we walked out without a purchase, however, I would absolutely recommend this shop, I never felt pressured to make a decision and he even thanked us for stopping by! 10/10 service!

There's a rhythm and a beat to what they're doing here, and it's music to my ears. Shout out the whole Arts-Rec as a staff, a label, and as a mfin' crew.

After waiting for a while, I had to approach an employee myself and ask if they could grab my size. The employee said they would, but then never came back. I waited, looked around the store for several minutes, and was completely ignored. Eventually, I just walked out without buying anything. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've had poor customer service here. The staff often come across as rude, unwelcoming, and uninterested in helping customers. It's frustrating because I like supporting local businesses, but experiences like this make it hard to want to come back. I won't be returning.

The owner is the real deal, deeply rooted in the community, well-connected in the industry, and always down to share stories about legendary skaters he knows personally. He's built a space that's more than just a shop, it's a hub for skaters to chill, hang out, and talk all things skateboarding. What really sets this place apart is how much the owner truly cares. The positive vibes are unmatched and he's constantly creating opportunities for the community. He's always available to talk, whether it's about skating, life, or just kicking it and sharing stories. If you ever have a slight issue or feel some type of way, just reach out to him--he's a super open and genuine dude who actually listens and wants to make things right. Thanks to him, I had the chance to meet Sean Cliver and the Strangelove crew at an in-house event. Such a sick experience. Even got my wife's Strangelove Dunk SB signed. If you're into skating, culture, and good people, this is the spot. Support local, stop by, and see for yourself.

They also like to take advantage of customers who are new to skateboarding and otherwise wouldn't know the actual prices of things, so they overcharge them. I've come into this shop multiple times with my children and nephews and have witnessed multiple times people of other races or those who don't fit the stereotypical look of a 'skater' who are treated completely different to my children and myself, in that they are completely ignored, not helped at all, or given a horrible attitude and judge mental looks towards. This is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated. I will not be coming into this business any longer and will not be recommending it to anyone, and neither will my husband who works in the skateboarding industry. I grew up skating and coming here. But unfortunately, the shop has taken a drop in its service. Owner is chill and he is usually helpful and polite. But it's a bummer to see the terrible customer service and it being a huge turn off to other people including myself. Especially if someone may be coming in for their for time. Hope the dudes day gets better if he is having a bad day, but he is obviously grown enough and been at the shop long enough to know how he should be treating anyone new, young or old coming into the shop. Stay Blessed Pacific Drive, and hopefully this is seen as a message to be able to grow and learn from and taken as constructive criticism.
