Ask the Community - SnowJam Show

What are the open hours and so they carry 130cm skis?

SnowJam Temecula isn't a retail storefront, so we don't have regular open hours. We're a large ski and snowboard expo that takes place one weekend each November in San Diego and Las Vegas.… Read more

Do they wax and maintenance snowboards?

Hey Zachary! Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to wax snowboards. We produce an annual ski and snowboard sale in Del Mar each November. The location you see is our office location. Hope to see you this upcoming November!

Bikes have been a huge part of my life since the very beginning. They were my escape growing up,…read moreand the key to that was always having a true local bike shop -- a place with real people who get to know you, support you, give great advice, and help you through every stage of riding. Menifee Bicycles is exactly that kind of shop. The entire staff is incredible. They know the best places to ride, they're friendly, and they're genuinely helpful with any question you bring in. They also have an awesome inventory. Tons of cruisers (lots of SE options), brands like Cult and FBC, and a big selection of Trek, Giant, and more. I contacted them today because the Trek website showed a perfect option for my daughter in stock. I called and spoke with Samantha, who confirmed they had it -- it just wasn't built yet. Without hesitation, she offered to have it assembled right away so my daughter could come in and test ride it with no pressure or obligation. We went to the shop, she tried the bike, and she couldn't be happier. The whole experience showed exactly why local shops matter. You can feel the pride and care they put into everything. And as someone who started racing BMX in the late 80s, the highlight of my visit might have been spotting a mint Haro Group 1 RS2 sitting on the floor. Original number plate, grips, everything. It stopped me in my tracks and brought back a lot of great memories. Highly recommended. Samantha and the whole team were amazing. This is the kind of bike shop every community hopes to have.

I called Paddles and Pedals in the morning to inquire about a same day bike rental. They…read moreconfirmed they had availability and we made our way over. Our party was one adult and two kids. The bikes they brought out were the perfect size for each person in our group and they provided helmets. It was about $16/hour for the bike rental. Upon arrival we were helped immediately. From arrival, to waiver signature, and getting on bikes took about 10 minutes. You will need an ID as they hold it until you return with payment. The location is on the north shore and it is easy to find. There was plenty of parking and it's right next to an RV Park with a little liquor store in case you forgot anything. If you didn't bring a drink, pick one up as I did not see any water fountains or bottle fillers on the bike path. The paved bike path is right across the road and it is easy enough. There are some hills, not bad, but not completely flat. You can always walk the bike up if needed. You can ride all the way down the north shore which is mostly undeveloped and absolutely beautiful. We packed a backpack with sandwiches and stopped along the way at picnic tables to eat lunch. Keep in mind for you, your kids, and pets, that it's a little harder to exercise/breathe at high altitudes. There are a few benches to stop and rest as well as a few paths down to the lake. The trail is shared with other bikers, walkers, runners, and a few folks walking dogs. Everyone we encountered was respectful. I knocked one star down because I thought $100+ for one adult and two kid bike rentals for less than 2 hours was a little steep. However, we loved our time on the bike path. The exercise was great and the north shore is beautiful. The trees and lake took our breath away. We will return soon.

The thing I liked the most about paddles and pedals is that the kayaks are already in the water. Also it's a little more secluded so we didn't feel like we were going to run into anyone while still enjoying the beauty of the lake.

Buyer Beware - Avoid Glare Technology and the Flying Fox e-Bike…read more My experience with Glare Technology and their Flying Fox e-bike has been extremely disappointing. The motor on my bike failed within the first month of ownership, which is unacceptable for a product at this price point. When I contacted the company about the issue, they eventually sent a replacement motor. However, their idea of "warranty support" is simply mailing parts and expecting the customer to perform the repair themselves. Replacing the motor requires rebuilding the wheel, something that realistically requires a professional wheel builder or experienced bike mechanic. Despite this, Glare Technology provides no instructions, no technical support, and no alternative repair options. Their warranty policy openly states that they only supply DIY parts, but when customers ask for help installing those parts, they offer no assistance whatsoever. That makes their warranty essentially useless for the average customer. To make matters worse, I have tried repeatedly to resolve this issue with their representative Geraldine Palma, who has now stopped responding to my messages entirely. At this point it appears the company's support strategy is to delay, send parts that require specialized skills to install, and then stop responding when customers ask for help. A motor failing in under a month combined with non-existent customer support is a major red flag. If you are considering buying a Flying Fox e-bike, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are many companies that actually stand behind their products and support their customers.

They are never open but if you can get ahold of someone they are helpful enough. They seem to be an…read moreonline business rather than a walk in service business.
