I came across this car wash 39 days ago (1/27/18) and decided I will give it a shot since I wouldn't mind the idea of getting unlimited car washes at a certain premium a month. There was a man in the booth selling me on the benefits in order to sign me up for the unlimited wash which was pretty good but he failed to disclose the cancellation fee. My first day going through the wash I realize the gentlemen at the end of the wash did not dry the vehicle to any significant measure. If you know anything about getting your car washed, you know that the dry can be even more essential than the wash itself. I didn't give the boys a hard time since it was only my first time going and I'm not one to just mark my perspective through first impressions. I went back weeks later to receive another wash to find myself seeing the same performance from the boys up front at the end of my wash. At this point I'm a bit frustrated but I decide to let things go and park to the side of the wash to manually finish the drying of my vehicle. After visiting this place two more times and still manually drying my car I decided to cancel my membership on my last visit (3/3/18). As I walk in to cancel alongside a friend of mine (which was manually drying his car with me prior to walking into the building trying to also cancel his own membership simultaneously) the boys at the counter attended us with no care. Not only did they fail to let us customers know (once again) about the cancellation fee but they didn't have any care for the value of feedback. They didn't even ask us why we were looking to cancel the memberships. They simply took our last names and deactivated the accounts with no further discussion. Last night I check my account to find a nice $75 cancellation fee which translates to $119 over the span of 39 days with a grand total of about 4 inconvenient car washes. I find myself surprised by this fee so I call this morning to their customer service line placed on the web which was not even answered. I wasn't even able to leave a voicemail with a phone number to call me back. The operator just tells me no one is available and says goodbye. I've never been one to write a review on the web but this experience could not have been held back to others who may be thinking about this investment. read more

Do not use this business, last Friday 24th November i been there to wash my brand new TOYOTA HILUX and they charging me $255 dollars and after almost 2 hours finally they handover my car and i saw the driver seat has been damaged and rip the leather seat. i call the person who wash my car (SALEEM) and show him the damages. he told me they insurance look after everything and he or someone call me the next couple days to fix the damages. They didn't call me at all until today 30th November I contact the Waves wash office to find out what's happening. They call me back at 11.40 am and telling me the Claim Department not takes any responsibility for damages and i need to spend from my money to fix the damages they done to my car. Very unprofessional manager and she's very rude and denying about everything's they done to my car. They have ZERO respect for customers. There was a long line for the car wash today but I had come here for an emergency vacuum situation. When one of the guys was moving the cones to allow me vacuum, the manager stopped him and asked us to leave. The manager may have been overwhelmed with a large line of car wash customers, but it was awful to on-the-spot decide to prevent a customer from using their service. If it was necessary, how about saying so politely and maybe apologizing for the inconvenience? If you are closing down your vacuum service for the day, how about having a sign saying so? When a customer has taken trouble to get there, at the very least be polite to them? You can't be yelling at them and telling them to leave. Waves management/owner very unprofessional. I was confronted via phone call this morning by manager by the name of Jonathan. He was very upset due to the fact I left a bad review here on Yelp after the Waves car wash damaged my vehicle You would think his approach would be more polite considering the situation and how I was treated after the damage occurred. He's very intimidating I had to hang up requesting the company not call my phone again due to this harassment. The owner then called me to discuss the situation and damage done to my vehicle, but he was not willing to help. He also stated there's absolutely no way the damage occurred in his car wash. When I asked him to please review his security cameras for proof outside the car wash and inside as well, he simple said "they don't work". He also told me I probably have enemies who keyed my car or maybe it happened due to it being HALLOWEEN yet this happened at 11am smh.. I asked the owner to work me to please fix the damage on my 2017 white Honda Accord he said absolutely not. They also stated now (out of nowhere) some girl who works there just so happened to see this damage to my car prior to entering the car wash smh.. ridiculous!! For an automated car wash, it does a pretty good job of cleaning your car. I'd say better than most. Like any automatic cloth car wash, you can expect some swirls and scratches instilled into your car's finish. They offer a monthly pass program for $29 which gives you unlimited washes. Beware though, they oversell these passes and the line to get through the car wash can be huge. I've seen waits of 20 minutes up to an hour especially in the winter months or on weekends. For that amount of time, I could just wash the car myself. For me, a car wash should be a time saver and the wait there is unacceptable. If you're looking for detailing service, I'd steer clear of this place and look for a professional detailer. I booked an interior and exterior service for $200 which included the clay and buff and was very disappointed in the results. My car is only a year old, and in very good condition. I didn't think the carpets were vacuumed properly and the windshield was still dirty. There were still bugs and sap left on the paint and paint didn't even feel waxed when it was done. I expressed my concerns when I picked it up, and they pulled it back in to work on it some more but honestly I didn't notice much improvement. They gave me a $10 gift certificate to the bagel place next door as a consolation. I ended up detailing it myself the next day and learning my lesson. One positive thing to note is that the staff i very friendly. read more

I recently purchased a new car and can't always tell when my washer blades are on or off. I asked the guy with the freckles to spray my windshield so I can confirm they were off.(for fear they may break) His response was,"we're too busy today, I ain't spraying nothing. I have been to waves quite a few times in the past and it's been fine, nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. The location is great because it is close to my family's house and I often go after visiting them. Today however was a different story all together. I got their most expensive car wash (The Works) because my 2 kids made a terrible mess of the seats in the back and the exterior was gross from parking under a tree after rain last night. The wheels were pretty dirty as well, so I decided to head over on my way home. When the car was pulling out of the tunnel, I noticed that my front passenger side bumper was loose and hanging down. I recently bought the car from another owner and there was a slight buckle in this area of the car, so I am very aware of the damage. I knew that 10 minutes earlier when I was filling up with gas down the street, that this part of the car was NOT hanging and loose. Upon closer review, I noticed that the screw that had held it onto the body of the car (in the wheel well) was gone and cracked. I mentioned it to the guys drying off the car, and they apologized profusely and told me they would get a manager. While I waited for the manager, I noticed that my nice silver wheels were still very much black, and that the back seats still had kiddie footprints all over them. What exactly did I pay $35 for?? Anyhow, after a few minutes, the entire staff was looking at the car, apologizing and telling me that the tunnel must've done the damage. I filled out a damage report and was told that the owner Adam would be in touch with me. As for my wheels, they offered to put the car into the tunnel again. I refused, given the damage the tunnel had caused the first time through the wash. One of the guys offered to clean them by hand and did so for me, very polite and nice. As I was pulling away, the owner showed up and came and knocked on my window. I got out and walked to show him the damage. Before I could open my mouth, Adam told me that "there is no way that damage was caused by my machine." I said "yes sir, it was, because when I was filling up 10 minutes earlier at the gas station it wasn't like this. There was damage, but it was still attached to the body of the car". Adam then told me that I was "full of shit". I was dumbfounded that a business owner would speak to a customer like that, not to mention that a man would address a woman like that. I then reminded him that I paid for a $35 wash and that his team did a pitiful job that I myself ended up cleaning. As I started my car to drive off he yelled to me "to be careful not to hit anybody." Waves did a lousy job and the owner is a dirtball, who didn't even hear me out and swears at clients. read more

I paid $15 for a car wash and my car literally came out looking dirtier than when it went in. The car is black and there's dried soap all over, it looks awful - not clean at all. They also said there would be Rain-X applied and it just wasn't; I know how Rain-X reacts to water. I'd steer clear of this place; it doesn't seem to have any quality control over the equipment which essentially makes it a rip-off. read more

Stereo working before waves cleared my vehicle. Not working after they cleaned the vehicle. Photos show liquid dripping from the USB and corner of the stereo. These were taken forty five minutes after the wash when it became clear they were trying to deny liability. We will be going to court. Liquid was much worse when first collected. A bottle of wine exploded in my console so I called waves to see if they could detail my car yesterday. They had an opening an hour later so I went over. I pulled in and it was pretty busy but they had a awesome guy going to all the cars in line asking what kind of wash we wanted. I told him I was there for a detail and the guy was so great and helpful looked and my car and told me a wash would be $10 more so I agreed!It took about an hour but when it came out I literally thought it was the wrong car. I have a jeep Cherokee and it's only 2 years old but it sparkled like I have never seen - it looks unbelievable!! Everyone there was so kind, helpful, an efficient. I previously have only used their vacuum before. First time had my car detailed, with wash and seat shampoo and interior cleaning. The manager (young man with a cap) who was on today was very helpful, knowledgable and made the experience more enjoyable. They did an amazing job. My car looks amazing (and makes my whole day better). They were efficient in doing their job. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I have 3 cars on the Annual Contract (monthly debit). The washing of the cars are great. Thats why the 4 Stars. Not a 5 Star because at the end of the wash, there are usually 2 people there waiting to towel-dry the car and there's a "tipping" box for them. I NEVER tip because of the horrible job they do with the towels. After they finish towel-dry, I pull out and stop about 100 ft, get out my own towel and finish what they started - actually dry off the car. It takes me about 5 minutes to finish off what they didn't do. Really guys, there's 2 of you with 2 towels in each hand so a total of 4 towels! And it takes me 5 minutes to do my car with 1 towel??? Wow So I'll just wait til the end of the winter and when all the snow is gone, I'll start looking for another place that offers similar Monthly Membership! read more

I got the unlimited car wash! Sign up was quick and easy. The property is on the smaller side and the layout is awkward. This place gets super packed so the line will spill into the nearby storage place and sometimes down to Job Lot! The good news is that the line goes by quickly and to be honest this car wash is probably the fastest I've ever seen which can be good/bad. So far one of the best automated washes I've gotten so far. Car left the place with white spots everywhere, including the hood and trunk. To be fair, the tires did look clean. I dropped my car off today to get it cleaned at Waves. I am a dog-walker and have dogs in the car 5-7 days a week. I cannot even tell you what a disaster my car looks like after a very short time with the dogs in it. It had been many months since my last trip to Waves in West Roxbury and I thought 'I'll take whatever they can do today' just to get some of the dog hair and 'throw-up' out of the vehicle. I left the car and went for a long walk. Shortly after I got back, my car was all done. It was amazing! The inside of the car looked just about perfect and the job they did on the outside made it look like brand new (it's a 2011). I've been here a number of times for their service and this was by far the best job they've done yet. Keep up the good work! read more

tried this place a handful of times over the last year. their attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired. I've tried every special wash shy of the $100+ detailing package and never have they cleaned the rims properly. they apply enough armor all to coat a monster truck wheel which always results in it getting flung up on the sides of the car and the towels they use to dry leave lint and spots all over. not sure where I'll be trying next, but I'm done with this place. employees seem to take no pride in their work. read more

Update 7.27.14: The manager sent out a generic email asking for feedback and i told them my honest opinion. The owner was apologetic via email and instructed the manger to redo my car. I was going to take my car in today, but I just saw an email from the manager giving me a full refund. Neither the owner or the manager was at the shop when I got my car done, so perhaps this was a case of slacking when no one is watching. Either way, I am impressed that they gave a refund. I would have been ok with just a redo, but appreciate that as well. Original: I picked this car wash place out because it is so environmentally friendly, which is the only reason Im giving them 2 stars. However, the service they provided was sub-par. Today I had my car detailed; I had the clay and wax exterior detail and the interior detailing with seats shampooed. When I booked it online, the online price was higher then what I actually paid, which was a pleasant surprise when I paid for these services upfront. I had an appointment scheduled for 9am. I dropped my car off, then went to grab some coffee down the street. When I came back, no one was working on my car. The bay was full, so I didnt complain. The woman working inside went out into the bay when she saw me and then some workers started working on my car at 923a. Annoying, but things happen. Instead of an hour appt, I ended up being there for almost 2 hours. This wouldnt have been so bad if it wasnt a half-a** job. The woman called me out to look at my car. I do have a lab, so I did have dog hair in my car. However, my seats always have thick waterproof seat covers on it, so the fur is on the floor and between the seats. I dont have the attachments to get in between the seats, which is why I like to get my car detailed. This had to be the worst detail I ever got. While I was there, I saw the workers bounce back from car to car and they seemed to be redoing what each other has already done. The chicken-with-the-head-cut-off approached allows for stuff to be missed instead of leaving 1 or 2 workers at one car to do the job right. Plus, workers were eating in the bay. (Seriously, let your workers take a break, perhaps they will do a better job. One guy was munching on a sandwich from home and the other was working on a subway sandwich.) So when I was looking at my car, I noticed that there was still a lot of dog hair on the floor. The woman stated that dog hair is "tough to get up", I just gave her a glance and she stated she would get one of her workers to redo the floor. She even had to tell one of her workers to put a seat protector on since the seats where still wet from the shampooing. (Thank you, I appreciate not having a wet behind when Im driving) She then directed me back inside. I know vacuuming up dog hair is a pain in a car and Im not expecting every piece of fur to be out, which is why I think its fair to charge the $20 surcharge. But come on, it shouldnt look like it was barely touched. If your not going to bother trying to get it up, then why the surcharge?? I was expecting to be brought back out to my car, but instead, the car was driven out of the bay and was "ready" for me. It appeared they started to do everything, but never really finished one thing. By the driver's seat, it appears they didnt even vacuum between the seats; the tires were only partially cleaned; the top of the steering wheel wasnt touched; there was still fur on the floor. Plus, I dont believe they gave me the clay wax but rather the gloss detail. My car was shiny, however, the only thing I saw them put on the exterior of my car was something out of a bottle that they squeezed on but then rinsed off. When I asked the woman behind the counter what was the difference between what I got and the truck next to me, she stated mine was to add shine and the other guy got the buff. Um..I thought I picked the one that protects my car from the elements, but ok. That definitely wasnt worth the $80 and there is no way that will protect the exterior of my car for 6 months. I think they just gave me the cheaper gloss instead. Completely bummed and disappointed. I wanted to like this place because it is so Eco-friendly but the service they provided wasnt even worth the cost. Added Bonus/Update: After my car dried, I got white spots all over it. Really? I guess whatever they put on my car they didnt even get applied properly. Im tempted to eliminate that one extra star for being Eco-friendly. This was a massive waste of $170 dollars. Why the heck does this company have Pedobear as its company photo? Waves is a dedicated car wash, it's not some gas station with a quasi car wash feature attached to it. This place has a personal kind of feel and approach. You're greeted by a guy (the employees are teenage boys) who asks you what kind of wash you want. Then your car is preliminary soaked and given a once over by 2 more guys. After that, your car goes into the washing tunnel, and when you exit, there's a guy with a towel to dry the places that the blower couldn't do. So when you leave, you'll be surprised at the personal attention that your car has just received. This is no doubt one of the strong points of Waves. The company supposedly issues coupons if you request them, it has a car wash club option for you to earn reward points every time your car is washed (like a loyalty perk), and a monthly/annual unlimited wash option (very helpful if you park under a tree with sap & bird crap, and in the winter with snow & dirt & salt buildup). If you really want your car cleaned, you probably should do it yourself. For example, every automatic car wash that I've been through, will still leave stains (such as bird droppings that have been there for several days) and marks (such as on your hood/trunk from the heavy rubber/cloth brushes) on your car. The same applies to Waves. Nothing beats the amount of detail and attention that a person can put into it, but yes, washing a car yourself will take a lot longer. Waves is better than most car washes out there, but it's limited to the cleaning limits of an automatic car wash. read more

Awful. Took my car in for an interior and exterior wash. I greeted the Waves employee with a "Looks like you guys are busy today." He replied with "Unfortunately." Good going. Way to embrace the idea that you guys are BUSY!! If it wasn't for the (10) cars lined up ready to enter your car wash you wouldn't have a job. I then retrieved my car at the other end to find that the interior was not even remotely done. They must have cleaned my car with a dust pan. The exterior job was mediocre at best.
