We have stopped here twice now within the last 2 weeks for gas, food, & bathroom break. It is literally right off of 95. The place is spotless, the food & snacks are delish, restrooms clean and the staff is friendly. Due to COVID-19 ,they have a hand sanitizer station as soon as you walk in the door. All staff are wearing masks & food service staff are also wearing gloves. They have big 6ft circles on the floor for social distancing placement while you wait in line. Cashiers have a shield & you can pay via credit card. If you are not familiar with WAWA, they are known for their Hoagies. You can get your food to order or grab one of their pre-made packages. For fresh made food, you order off a computer screen & you can pretty much customize your food any way you like; so many great, yummy options! Their breakfast is really good too & they have a coffee station. They also have any kind of snack or drink you could want, as well as some health items like Advil, vitamins, hand sanitizer etc. You gotta WAWA!!!

Best coffee of any convenience store. Happy staff and clean stores. Breakfast sandwiches were hot and fresh and coffee was hot and full.

The employees here are excellent. Only two out of 10 customers were wearing masks. All of the unmasked customers were employees of Pennline.

No changing station in the bathroom? That's ridiculous for a busy gas station just off the interstate. Mothers of infants, go elsewhere!

I've been to raising canes before. Back when I was in Kentucky haven in Lexington Kentucky, woweee…read morethat raising canes was good. French Crinkels fried to perfection and crust to the bite yes with salt. Chicken tenders mmm juicy and had a distinct crucnh to it. Bread was soft and coleslaw mmm mmm fresh. That was the experience every time. And when I saw there was a canes here I jumped...well more like hopped because knee replacement and arthritis can lock my knees up and then I wouldn't be able to go to canes let alone enjoy it because it would hurt my joints more because of--oh my here I go rambling on tangents sorry sorry...where was I...oh yes, back to this. I was excited to see there was a canes here. While the service here is phenomenal--especially the young woman who always has the most intricate and absolutely stuninh nails, yes she is kind, the food is not quite the Kentucky Raisin I was raised on HA! Chicken tenders are good, but lack the crunch. They seem more breaded and soggey. Fries are a bit limp as well...but my recent visit led me to disappointment as it seems my carry out box was not secured,, I took a left to get back on carl d pkwy and well...all my contents fell out. Sigh. My Volvo enjoyed the meal at least, and I got a tender and fries and of course the best lemonade ever so it was not bad enough to leave a unpleasant taste in my tongue thank you i will be back maybe later yes. I didn't go inside I don't know what the ambiance is like ok sorry.

There stood a cheerful young lady with a tablet beside the speaker box, hustling orders with the urgency of an air traffic controller at Reagan National. Now I will give them this -- they move people through faster than a tax refund disappears in Washington. I ordered three chicken finger baskets and repeated "unsweetened tea" enough times that it should have become part of the permanent record. Reconfirmed it at the second window too. We were in and out in four minutes flat, carrying enough Styrofoam and paper sacks to feed a Little League team. Six minutes later at home, the first sip of tea hit like liquified hummingbird feeder. That "unsweetened" tea had enough sugar in it to put the city of Fredericksburg on insulin monitoring. Somewhere in that kitchen a man clearly believes every Southerner measures tea sweetness by whether the spoon can stand upright in the cup. Then came the fries. Lord help us. These were pale, limp crinkle fries that looked less "fresh fried" and more "recently thawed beside a space heater." Not a hint of crispness. No golden-brown glory. Just soft potato strips lying in the tray like they had accepted defeat long before reaching the fryer. The chicken itself? Tiny little one-inch strips hiding under enough crunchy batter to qualify as exterior siding. Crispy, yes. Generous, no. More breading than bird. The Texas toast arrived soggy enough to make you wonder if it had been steamed instead of toasted. Calling that "Texas toast" is an insult to a state that once fought a war over standards. The lone survivor in this culinary rodeo was the sauce. That special sauce is carrying the entire franchise on its back like a weary mule climbing Pike's Peak. I finally asked my grandson if he had eaten there before. He admitted he had not. He'd simply been told it was great and figured nobody could really mess up chicken fingers and fries. Well. Humanity continues to innovate. Strike Raising Cane's from the regular rotation unless it is 2:00 in the morning, every other restaurant in Virginia is dark, and your soul is screaming for fried chicken through the fog of poor decisions.

Had been a Carls Jr customer in…read moreSoCal and grew up with Hardee's in VA.. my first to visits were sub par, so much so I deleted the Hardee's app. I decided to give them another chance yesterday for breakfast. I reapplied the app and ordered. Was notified the food would be ready in 30 minutes. Showed up and the drive thru line went around the building. I chose to go inside to an absolute shit show. Only 3 people working the front of the house. Two of the workers were slow and lazy. Probably because the old supervisor constantly pointed out their issues in front of everyone. It took thirty extra minutes to get my food which was prepaid so I couldn't leave. When it came, part of the order had been given to another customer so it had to be redone...... I felt for the drive thru. They forgot one customers French toast and had to recook it. They left that vehicle in the window inconveniencing the entire line. On a positive the food was ok, but not worth this nightmare. Needless to say, the app is again off my phone.

The 1/4 burgers looked rather blah... Definitely didn't look like the picture. But the flavor was really. Fries were really good, as they usually are. Coke from the fountain was really good too. Service was decent. The lobby was clean and looked fine. I don't know why Hardee's restaurants keep those old smoking rooms, when they should use the space for a kid's play area or something. Also, the space being taken up by the lobby/dining room seems wasteful, compared to how these restaurants are rarely more than half full. One last thing.... There were two sets of soda fountains... One didn't have ice, but had working soda fountain. The other had ice, but no soda fountain that worked.... Odd! I'll return, we usually do.
