Quick search and this was along my route to my next stop. When I saw it was a Wawa I was expecting this to be the full gas station experience. When I showed up, I was surprised to see that this was convenience store only location. I have only been to two other locations like this and I am always thrown by this. With it being a location like this that meant parking was definitely a mess. Especially earlier in the morning. The lot is confusing, not because it is small, but because almost everyone using it thinks they have the right of way. I did find a spot and made my way inside. I did a quick grab of a drink and pastry and made my way to the register. There was a line, but it was being dealt with quickly. I paid and made my way outside. I decided to take a few minutes before heading out. Watching the lot was crazy. Vehicles every which way and sometimes parking behind other vehicles in hopes of making a quick run inside to grab what they needed. Before long it was my turn to head out of the lot. I was lucky to be able to get out right away and make my way back on the road to the my next stop.

Service is fast efficient. It goes in the machine and within like 5 to 7 minutes you have your sandwich and you're ready to get back on the road. It's always very very busy asshole so there's not a lot of time to talk to people, but I like how everyone so nice and friendly and helpful.

I wasn't being rude, I wasn't holding up the line -- just trying to be a decent human being. But the vibe was cold and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. I get that fast food work can be stressful, but basic respect and kindness should never be too much to ask. They were extremely rude to me and told me to "keep it movin bud" when I was simply just trying to make friendly conversation. These workers had no respect and need to have an attitude check. The only downside was that there was no trash can that I could find outside. I have a dairy intolerance and specifically requested no cheese. I didn't realize cheese had been included until after I had eaten most of my burrito. I called management since I had already left. I wasn't angry -- I just wanted a resolution. The manager explained that the cheese was located near other items, which honestly made the situation worse. The prep area should have been set up properly, especially considering how common dairy allergies and intolerances are. After he explained the prep area situation, he offered a remake or a refund. I opted for the refund and let him know I was right next door and would be over shortly. When I arrived, I stood at the register without being greeted, so I shifted where I was standing to be more visible. I still had to wait another minute or two after being seen. While that's not a long wait, it felt frustrating in the moment -- I was already upset about the food and the conversation, which seemed to focus more on justifying mistakes than resolving them. The manager processed the refund quickly, but then walked away without saying anything. I ended up tearing off my own refund receipt from the register. He returned shortly after with a coupon, which I appreciated -- but it would've been nice to know where he was going instead of being left standing there. This store is well placed close to route 9, the AC Expressway and the Blackhorse Pike. Even though we came on a weekday during a prime dinner hour there was not the usual site that I've grown to expect with a line of cars wrapped around the store's drive thru window. While there were a few cars in line, the main draw for some reason was dining in. The parking lot was filled and trying to find a space was a mess. We had to schlep over to the neighboring Wal-Mart lot to find a space. Not Cool. The things we do for chicken. #1 #4 #5 #9 If you're a connoisseur of CFA then I don't need to explain to you what those numbers translate to on the menu board. All items were rendered as expected with the two highlights being the lack of hard end grizzle on the regular nugs and instead of the usual single pickle on the #1, there were five! (I don't eat pickles so I'm not sure why I just threw that exclamation point in there) Two sidebar observations: 1. I had to laugh at the placement of the staff's ServSafe certificates. They're all together under a glass case hanging on the wall next to the bathroom entrance doors. There really must be a better place than that. 2. I'm not a big fan of the new motion sensor trash bins that are appearing at CFA's. My local store does not have them yet and from talking to the staff there are no plans to get them any time soon but I've seen them now here and at two locations in VA. I feel as someone who is not garden gnome short, the door slot is placed too low and the design equals less capacity than a traditional container. With how busy these places get you need more capacity not less capacity. When I went to throw out our trash I had to call an employee over to dump the inner bin which was filled and got stuck trying to compact itself but couldn't. Ironically the same thing happened to me at a different CFA in VA last month. Overall the store was clean, the food was fresh, the food was hot and it was delivered quickly. There is nothing sexy about what CFA does but what they do is shockingly consistent and that's why they are the envy of the fast food industry.
