Little donuts with big flavor on the 2nd floor of the Hard Rock. Not sure the connection with the chicken but the sandwiches looked apetizing. Got a chocolate cake donut with peanut butter drizzle. The cashier was nice and discussed the concept of the shop.

So I thought to myself, how best to introduce you to a tried and true staple of an area in what is…read morenow called "The Orange Loop"? Well, the "Irish Pub" you know from the Monopoly game is actually this real property, "The Irish Pub and Inn", here on St. James Place in Atlantic City. Also, the game's iconic red hotel design inspired the game's red hotels, making it a real-life landmark for Monopoly fans. During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. Photos will not permit you to understand just how fantastic the volume and scope of lights, ornaments and figurines abound all around the restaurant and bar areas. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! It is a cash only venue. Make sure to come prepared. But if not? They do have an ATM onsite to help pay for the classic fish and chips or / AND the St James Potatoes. Those fries are like a poutine for those who know. The service is no frills but provided with pride and a smile, always. You can never go wrong here for a quick, basic, and satisfying meal and drink at reasonable prices in good company.

After staying at Showboat Hotel Atlantic City, we quickly realized everything closed way too early…read more Luckily, right next door at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Sugar Factory Atlantic City was still open and came through for a late night sweet fix. My sister ordered the cookie jar milkshake (cookies & cream ice cream blended with Oreo crumbles, caramel, and chocolate in a swirled mug topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and Oreos) and WOW, it did not disappoint. It was creamy, perfectly blended, and not overly sweet. I kept it simple with "The Classic" (vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate scoops with whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and a gummy cherry), and I had zero complaints, it hit the spot. But after viewing everyone else's desserts, it's clear this is the kind of place where you go big or go home. Everything we tried was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and the portions were HUGE, we definitely had to take some to go. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We sat at the bar with 90's R&B playing, what a vibe. The decor is super fun too, bright, vibrant, and just a whole experience. I've been to Sugar Factory before for their food and those famous over the top goblet drinks, but this was my first time really diving into the desserts and they did NOT disappoint. Definitely will experiment more next time after seeing my man's s'mores and her man's strawberry cheesecake shakes. If you're in Atlantic City and craving something sweet late at night, this spot is 100% worth it.

Located…read morejust off the Boardwalk on Tennessee Avenue, it perfectly captures the laid-back beach-town vibe that makes this neighborhood so special. Great for a solo diner or a group or family. I stopped in for dinner around 6:15 PM and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. There's indoor seating, a full bar, and a fantastic outdoor space complete with games, a fire pit, and one of the best music playlists in town--often accompanied by live entertainment. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors naturally mix together, creating a fun and friendly energy. One thing that always makes me smile is the sign when you walk in explaining that the bartenders and servers may be outside and asking guests to let them know they've arrived. Honestly, who could blame them? With the fresh salt air coming off the Atlantic Ocean and the outdoor atmosphere they've created, it's exactly where I'd want to be too. Tonight I ordered the crab cake platter, served with garlic French fries and coleslaw. The crab cakes were very good, packed with flavor, and the fries were crispy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. A simple meal done right. Everything was fresh and appealing, I eat small portions so I took one crab cake and some fries home with me. I did ask about dessert, nothing was available, I don't do sweets frequently, I'm surprised they don't request Momma Chocolate, at Bar32 to make some extras for days they are closed. My server, Bella, was upbeat, bubbly, and attentive throughout the evening, adding to an already enjoyable experience. Parking is easy, with both free and paid options nearby, plus curbside access. Whether you're a local looking for a regular hangout or a visitor exploring beyond the casinos, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is well worth the short walk from the Boardwalk. Highly recommended for good food, cold drinks, great music, and some of the best local vibes in Atlantic City.

They also have a great $25 dinner special on the weekends, however we weren't looking to eat that heavy. But the live music on weekends at 7pm brought me in without the specials. We started with a down East blackberry cider $8, and a wanderback Hugo pilsner $7. We took our time sipping slowly while the band's set up and began to play. I think our server was more eager for us to make a food order than we were to eat yet. But when we finally did order, we chose a Tennessee Avenue tycoon salad and the "Phish" grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas. The salad was fresh but ordinary, with grilled chicken, blue cheese, egg and bacon. Spouse opted for some sort of orange dressing instead of the normal avocado dressing, perhaps it was the same one I loved on the fish tacos, a chipotle aoli. The Phish tacos were on soft corn tortillas that needed more time on the flat grill with a little oil to crisp them up! The fish was nice and white with good sized pieces in each taco. The cabbage slaw inside was wet, mashed avocado and so was the aoli, so a little gloppy but good even if it fell apart. These tacos are normally served with a side of chips, so I asked what options I had besides potato. Our server happily volunteered a grilled vegetable side which I loved until I found out it was an $8 upcharge of which he didn't inform me when ordering. That's an extreme amount, for not advising the customer prior. We stayed for a second round, I had another blackberry cider because it was delicious. Spouse switched to the Blue Horizon Kolsch, but apparently it was high test because it was $10. It was a lovely evening but, room for improvement. The band was fantastic, played all our favorites and we stayed a lot longer as a result of the great weather and the lovely picnic tables in the "garden". The beer hall has done a great job making this a fun hangout!

The pizza had a white pizza base with bits of clam and strong garlic smells. It was great. Elite crappy pizza. I mean this in the nicest way possible. If you know you know. I'd give this place 3 stars if it wasn't for my abysmal Chicken Parm Sandwich. The Chicken Parm Sandwich was a joke. It was a flour dusted chicken breast with a slice melted cheese on 2 pieces of soggy white bread. No red sauce, not toasted. I expected a roll for a chicken parm sandwich, not a huge issue but no sauce is unacceptable. I hate complaining but that sandwich was sad.

They have a few tables inside to sit and eat if you're interested. The service is pretty good. The woman behind the counter is quite friendly and was helpful in deciding what I ordered. I spent about $70 and ordered the following: Fried Whiting platter with Yams and Collard Greens Jerk Chicken - just chicken 3 wings and fries Curried Chicken platter with rice and cabbage The fried whiting platter in terms of the fish was a smashing hit. I loved the fish. Seasoned well, no bones, great on the portion size. The candid yams were lacking cinnamon, softness, and taste. Could have been much better along with the seasonless greens. I definitely needed so salt. The Jerk Chicken was too soft to me and didn't have a true jerk taste. After two bites it went in the trash. The 3 wings and fries were good to me. While not actually wings and moreso wingettes they are a good size. Nice and crunchy. The curried chicken ok. The cabbage was lacking season. The rice was ok. Overall if I happened to be in the area I'd only want the fish. Most of the food lacks seasoning and isn't with it to me but the chicken and fish are a hit for me.
