First time trying anything from Wawa! This morning at work we did a Door Dash order. Ordered arrived quickly and still hot. Everything was packed neatly, nothing was spilling, or missing. I got the crispy chicken on a biscuit with cheese, and it was actually good. The biscuit was warm, and very soft and fluffy. The 2 strips of chicken tenders were impressive, lightly breaded and a solid pieces of all white meat chicken breast. We also ordered an ice coffee, and a biscuit with sausage patty and cheese. It wasn't for me, but surly smelled good. I'll definitely think to stop by and check out whatever else they have to offer inside the mini mart. read more

WAWA WOW! This is the nicest, fully stocked, all around versatile gas station! They carry such a large selection of products, they made me WaWa "shout! Kick my heels up and shout! Come on now...." Seriously, the closest ever coming to this caliber of a gas & food store is at one of the service plazas in our Florida's Turnpike. We stopped for gas and picked up a couple of goodies, and I only wished I had more time--I was totally impressed. They had mango, pineapple, and other combo fruit cups, along with countless snacks, fresh salads and wraps. Yes, others have them too, but there's no comparison. I will definitely be going back to try their made-to-order foods, coffee and Siptopia handcrafted beverages. Carmen, the GM, runs a tight crew with friendly attendants, a clean and orderly store, fair prices and pumps that follow suit, including Apple Pay. Oh and one of the features I'm happy with is their Free Air! Thank you to the WAWA gods for building another WAWA near me; now I have two to choose from. First week they opened, they were giving out free hot coffee and discounted iced coffee. I actually like this location better because there are two entrances and the parking lot is way bigger; side note, the gas station is not always so full compared to the other one. They have tables outside. The employees were super friendly, they even insisted on bagging our items even though we said they didn't have to. To order a sandwich, go to the kiosk and submit your order. Then go to the cashier to pay for it. I really love their desserts, fresh baked brownies, cookies, hot pretzels, hash browns, bagels, and drinks (coffee & orange juice). Right near the VA on Commercial Blvd., the Wawa was not just a refuel stop but being around 1:30pm, a late lunch stop for me. I've seen the ads at the gas pumps and have heard some good reports about the food preparations and beverages at Wawa. After filling up I parked and went inside and found an open kiosk screen to enter my order. Beverage choice was a 16 oz. vanilla shake, no whipped cream. Sandwich choice asks for bread type and size, I chose one of the house made breads, Jr. Size, toasted, with Ham, Onion, pepper jack cheese, tomato, and mayo. Order completed and ticket 137 printed out. I decided to pay while I was waiting and by the time I got back to the pick up station, my sandwich was ready. Just another minute and my vanilla shake was ready, as ordeted. At the Coffee station I took advantage of a free sample coffee, I chose Cuban Roast. The sandwich was great, the shake was delicious and thick, and the 4 oz. Free coffee was a perfect finish! I'll take advantage of future "refueling stops" at WaWa. read more

So. Disappointed. Hearing all about how great WaWa was, I was excited to finally stop in at this location that opened down the street from me. First thought as I walked in was, "Huh. Smells like old, bad cheese. That's weird. I wonder where that is coming from." It smelled so odd in there and it was very off-putting. Definitely​ did not smell clean. Also disconcerting was the blank, bored expressions on the​ employees'​ faces. They looked like zombies. I had ordered my shake through the app and figured I would still get it anyway. I go up to the counter and see the worker finishing what turned out to be my shake. I watch him overfill the cup then take HIS BARE HAND and stick his fingers in my drink to scrape off the excess shake, making the top flat so he could get the lid on as he flicked the liquid off of his hand into the sink. He turned around and called my number and I reflexively reached out to take the drink then said, "Did you really just put your bare fingers in my shake?!" He asked if I wanted a new one and I declined, gave him back the shake and walked out. NO THANKS! Not going back there again. This was my first time in a Wawa, and I was impressed! This location has an outside seating area, they have a pretty much full coffee bar, you can order at the kiosk for any sub, salad, soup or sandwich... And they have an entire store full of other options. Being on a road trip we quickly stopped here and I got a flat bread with a cup of soup. It was delicious! Some of the other people I was with also had different varieties of their subs which they all said were delicious. Especially anything that comes with the chicken, the chicken was so good! This location is clean, and the customer service was good. They weren't overly friendly, but they weren't rude either. The food was fast, granted we went during a slower hour. And the coffee was really delicious. I got a decaf with a splash of French vanilla and I like how you can make the coffee yourself. Usually gas station type of coffee is gross, but a part of me felt like I was at Starbucks. Ha ha. I'll definitely be searching out more Wawa's in the future on road trips. For those Yelpers that called it "just a gas station" are missing the concept. WaWa started as a dairy store in WaWa, Pa. The fact that at some point they started selling gas is a red herring. WaWa is practically a religion in the Northeast. People have WaWa tattoos. The fast food is better than any burger chain, and their Hoagies have fresh rolls and well stuffed. I was glad when this WaWa opened since its now the closest one to my home. This WaWa is about on par with the location on University Dr. and NW 44th. The main advantage this one has is that it's parking lot bigger so there isn't much traffic getting in and out. Other than that there's really nothing different between this and other Wawa's. My wife and I have been loyal customers since this store opened. We're there literally 5+ days a week. Everything has been great until just recently (the last month or so). The food has always been good and the customer service outstanding until recently. Employees were always super nice and helpful. Now it's the exact opposite. The employees rarely say a word to you now. And if you ask someone a question, they seem to not want to be bothered. As far as the food goes, it seems like the employees dont care anymore. Everything is literally just slapped together. My wife brought me a breakfast burrito from there this morning and it was literally 2/3 empty.
