(I'm east indian with a very dominant hair growth gene. Basically, I get a 5:00 shadow on my legs within 1 hr of shaving them. I did full body laser hair removal for three years and still need to wax. I could be a bearded lady at the circus if I didn't maintain a consistent wax schedule. Sooo what I'm saying is I've been to a TON of waxing places and very qualified to write this review, AND you need to read this seriously.) (1) She is very open and realistic with setting expectations. However she listens carefully with your goals, and will make sure to try whatever is possible to meet or exceed them. Jill has mastered her craft. (2) Her pricing is competitive. She's not the lowest but she's also definitely not the highest. But the quality of work it is equivalent if not better than one of those super snobby high end waxing boutique. The franchise Waxing places are way over priced and Jill's prices beat them! (3) she is always ON TIME and efficient. (4) she is fun! We'll listen to a podcast or just talk. And it is always a fantastic time. (Its kinda awesome to walk smiling after getting your hair ripped out) (5) the quality of her wax and products are great! I have not broken out, have any skin tears, or anything. I can leave with confidence that my skin is presentable within a few mins/hrs. (6) she's so detail oriented. She's the first and only waxing pro whom I've never had to check if there was a spot missed. I don't know how she does it, she NEVER misses! In conclusion,just go to Jill. Decision made. read more

When I first moved to Phoenix, about 3 years ago, I found Jill at Judy's Harmonic Healing in Tempe. I was so excited to find someone who was so incredibly talented. I had tried a few other wax places, but wasn't too thrilled by the results. I ended up traveling quite a bit for a few months and when I returned back to Phoenix, I found out that Jill was no longer at Judy's! I almost had a heart attack because finding someone to make your eyebrows look amazing is so unbelievably difficult to find! I went to a few new places and was so unhappy by the results. After all, you should NEVER skimp on eyebrows! I looked high and low all over the Phoenix area for an outstanding esthetician who could actually do as fantastic of a job as Jill. Finally, I did a search on Yelp and found out that Jill had opened her own business! I was so excited to find her! So now all is right in the world and I'm back to looking normal after some really bad experiences with people who shouldn't be doing brow shaping and waxes. Jill is hands down the best aesthetician I have ever seen. I could stop there because that's the important point but what fun would that be? I'm half Persian. If that doesn't mean anything to you, I'll keep it short by saying that I have A LOT of experience with hair removal, done by myself and by others, and everything from wax to lasers to creams to the standard annoyance that is shaving. Not sure how long I've been seeing Jill now, maybe 6 months. Feels like I've known her forever. She makes hair removal the most natural and comfortable experience, which is saying a lot. I felt like we were fast friends and that is no doubt because of Jill's warm and personable demeanor. She's confidant and it's well founded because she has skills. She's a master waxer. She knows what you need. I've gone from thinking about and managing facial hair on a daily basis to barely even thinking about it once a week. This is a life changing thing for me. Jill = my wax angel. Short story: moved here not to long ago, hopped from nail salon to hair salon trying to find someone who knew how to wax my eyebrows..since moving here, my eyebrows have been butchered! Found Jill through Yelp and gave her a call. I told her about my waxing nightmares (wax in my hair, 35 minutes late from opening business hours, bleeding brows from plucked skin) and her exact words, "I need to see you!!" She was so personable and spoke to me as if we had been friends for a long time. I wasted no time and saw her at 8am that next morning. 8 am!!!! Never been to a wax salon that is open at 8 am. She is so flexible with my crazy schedule! Her office is nicely decorated and she has nice, relaxing, and updated music that softly plays. Was I nervous??? Yes but I felt instant comfort once meeting Jill. All I can say from here, is SHE THREW DOWN!!! She shaped, trimmed, and lightly waxed my brows to pure perfection! I came to Jill based on Wax Appeal's yelp reviews. It was my daughters first time getting her brows waxed and I wanted to make sure my daughters first time was done by someone that knew what they were doing. Jill also was able to get my in too. Let me tell you from the minute we walked in Jill was amazing. She was very friendly, welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The suite is very clean and decorated super cute. This review is well overdue. I had never had a Brazilian wax before and really wanted to give it a shot. I had tried waxing my legs at one of those European wax center, but I had the worst experience. So I did my research and found Jill through yelp. I gave her a call, left a message, and within a day I heard back. Jill was very friendly I told her it was my first time trying a Brazilian, she asked me questions about my regimen and what my desired outcome was. She told me how much time I needed of hair growth and I made my appointment. For a first timer, her timeliness and knowledge was a huge relief. I've been going to Jill for a little over 7 months now. Needless to say I have been more than satisfied with her services, she makes you feel comfortable, even though the first time for a Brazilian is ANYTHING but comfortable, she is very easy going, listens to your concerns and answers your questions. She is extremely professional and has wonderful costumer service. She books all of her appointments, responds to messages on a timely manner, and the most important part is that she is flexible. She will try to accommodate you as much as she can. Her place is spotless, always tells you about the products she uses, and always has the best beats (if you like having music in the background). I have been looking for a good place I can quickly get my brows & lip done for quite sometime. I have tried places that provide waxing services among other things. And it never seems to fail they always try to up sale me. And for some reason the businesses that actually specialize in waxing take at least 45mins or longer to wax my eyebrows & lip & of course the cost is on the higher side. I LOVE Jill! I was lucky enough to stumble upon Wax Appeal when I first moved to Phoenix a year and a half ago. I have crazy bushy eyebrows that no one can seem to shape or keep even... and I am a freak about my eyebrows! Needless to say, I have found someone!!! Thank you Jill! Not only is her space comfortable and relaxing but Jill will also make anyone feel comfortable and relaxed. I could not recommend anyone more then Jill! One time when she was out of town I needed a wax asap... I went to another wax studio, that was "fancy" and twice as expensive as Jill and they destroyed my eyebrows. I found Jill and my life has literally changed forever! I am 55 and since I was 18 I have had an overgrowth of chin hair so much I HAD to pluck EVERY day! If I didn't pluck or shave, it looked as though I had a black smudge on my chin, I tried to cover it with make up but it always showed through. Over the years I have tried electrolysis with minimal results and laser helped but not with the light hairs. We started with electrolysis and went at it rather aggressively.
