This was the worst and most painful Brazilian and underarm wax I've ever gotten. It hurt during and it hurt afterwards. The whole day, one underarm was hurting like I was burned. I've been getting Brazilians consistently for over a year and on and off for almost 10 years, I've never had it hurt this much or had a waxer reapply wax over the same spot 3-5 times. Mind you, it wasn't cause my hairs too coarse, I think it was the opposite, it was too fine or the wax was just not good. She should have tweezed off the hairs but instead she kept applying wax. I wasn't gonna write a review because it was such a cheap Groupon and maybe this was just my experience but I am writing this review because I realized today (I got my wax Friday) that my skins peeling!! Why is it peeling?? I honestly think she burned me and that's why my skin hurt afterwards and it's peeling. I just hope they read this review and do better, even if it means taking another waxing course. I've been going to Wax Pink for years. Even before Tabitha (the owner) moved to this location. Now all her staff are just as wonderful and do a professional job with my Brazilians. Citlalli or "Lalli" did my Brazilian wax today and she was AMAZING. It's sometimes awkward to get waxed... but she made the experience really pleasant and kept me laughing the entire time (great distraction tbh). Not sure if it was just her style of doing the wax, but it honestly felt painless- cleanse, baby powder, and a small fan kept me very comfortable the entire time. Wax Pink does not have a waiting area, you have to wait outside of the building for her to come open the front door, also the business is in a sketchy scary area to be standing outside for long. I contacted her via phone and text message but did not receive a response until 30 minutes later, when she texted to inform me that she was not working that day. I fail to understand why she sent me a reminder the day before my appointment if she was not going to be present. Instead of apologizing, she simply stated that she was not working that day and to reschedule. Today, she was 15 minutes late for my appointment. When I asked politely in the future to please text me if she was running late so I don't have to rush to get there and wait outside, she informed me that I should find another establishment that can better accommodate my needs, stating that I should've expected to wait when I come to her. What followed was a verbal altercation where she yelled at me and called me rude (rude for asking her to text me when she's running late, a reasonable request I thought), her poor excuse for being aggressive today and not showing up a month ago was that her grandfather passed. I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of her grandfather. However, when I inquired about the date of his passing, she informed me that it occurred one week ago. This event has no bearing on her failure to appear for my appointment one month ago. her recent display of aggression toward her client was uncalled for. In a matter of seconds, she transformed from a sweet lady to a frightening monster that I did not recognize.
