I came here a few weeks ago and had a wonderful experience! I had my brows waxed by Maddie and she was incredibly sweet and walked me through what she was doing. She gave me plenty of room to share my opinion on what I wanted done. I have good eyebrows as is but WOW, she did a SPECTACULAR job. UPDATE: After my review was posted, someone from Waxxpot took a look and gave me a refund which I felt like was the right thing to do there. She also had me come in for a free service to try it again. I did my face again and was really happy with the service. I have sensitive skin and often break out/get itchy but that happened very minimally. I will be trying Waxxpot a few more times to see if it's the right place for me. Fingers crossed! ORIGINAL REVIEW: TL;DR: It had potential but the esthetician dropped wax in my hair and I still ended up having to pay for my services. I was excited to get a new place that wasn't that large brand that everyone knows. I loved that pricing was posted on the website and the appointment was easy to book. I had an appointment for the side of my face and my full legs. She started with my face and with the second or third wax application dropped a big glob of wax in my hair. I didn't realize how bad it was at first so I was only a little peeved but continued with the appointment accepting the profuse apologies. I mean, mistakes happen. Right? The esthetician offered a free service on top of my scheduled but it could only be up to a $10 service. I forgot what the service was but there was only one thing under $10 and I didn't want it waxed. When I got up from the service, that's when I realized how truly bad the wax in my hair was. She had tried getting some of it out with the oil while I was on the table but it was a big gob and my fine hair was now a bird's nest. We took A LOT of time applying oil before I could run my hands through and hit not too many wax spots. To my shock, the esthetician said nothing to the front desk about the mistake. I didn't even say anything myself because I was so surprised. I had gone in for a little "treat yourself" after a rough couple weeks and ended up leaving $100 poorer and MORE work to do when I got home to get more wax out of my hair and then wash it all out. (If you have fine hair, you know how rough it is to get oils out.) Driving home and realizing that the oil was now on my shirt, I figured they needed to know. I called the studio and they offered to refund $30 of my service (about the price of the face wax). To me, this felt like they weren't really acknowledging how bad the mess up was. I said "I would really like to just assume that was a one time thing and not reflective of the studio and just start again. However, I can't really start with a blank slate when I'm still being charged for a service that created more work for me and has possible ruined my blouse." At that point, the manager-in-training acknowledged the sentiment and said she didn't have the authority to refund the full service and sent my number to the manager. She and I played phone tag for a while and eventually we gave up. As frustrating it was, I want to see people as humans and understand mistakes happen. But I really felt like the situation was mishandled: when this got to the manager she should have instantly said "dang! I'm so sorry. I'll refund your card and we hope you'll try us again so we can show you that was a fluke event, not indicative of our business." I have received $0 refund. I guess I should just be thankful it wasn't my eyebrows I was getting waxed that day. read more

I seriously love Waxxpot! I have been coming here for several months and have been meaning to write a review, but after the morning I had today, I 100% felt that I needed to review ASAP! I like to get my wax done early in the morning around 8:30 am. This morning, I ended up oversleeping and missed my appointment. I called and texted immediately and they were super accommodating. I was lucky that they had another opening at 10:45 am. Well, as I am driving to my appointment, with Austin being so wonderful and unpredictable, the highway entrance was closed! I had to make a u turn and go through a long detour to get to my appointment 10 minutes late! I arrived, rushed in apologetic, yet everyone was so kind and understanding. Maddie took my temperature, and brought me in the back and assured me it was ok. Maddie always does amazing work and makes sure that I'm happy with my wax. And it's always perfect. Maddie knows that I am a model too and makes sure everything is picture perfect! I even added the stomach line wax too! They booked me for my future appointment and were super accommodating. They didn't charge me for my missed appointment either. Thank you all again! You have no idea how much stress you took off my shoulders! See you in 4 weeks! read more

I had a first time appointment yesterday at Waxxpot Austin Seaholm. Due to a work conflict, I was running late. I called and the receptionist was very accommodating and told me they could still see me, which was very nice since I was more than 20 minutes late. The girl who did my lash lift and eyebrow wax was also very sweet. However, I woke up this morning with a burnt eyelid. Either it was the chemical that she used for the lash lift or the wax was too hot. It looks awful. I am disappointed that this happened at a professional waxing salon. read more

I had such a great experience here! I met Brooklyn who was so sweet and thorough. I've only ever been to European Wax Center before and wanted to try somewhere new that wasn't as expensive and found Waxxpot. They have great service and are placed along a strip of other shops and is only a street away from other grocery stores and restaurants. I personally would not come here unless it was the only option or a last minute kind of thing. My waxxer was awkward and didn't seem very experienced. She was "cool" but the whole set up with her personality didn't feel right. The bed doesn't have anything on it, it's rubber without a sheet or wax paper. I really wanted to like this place since it's walking distance but i feel like i got an effortless wax both times. Noticeable hair everywhere in obvious places. read more

I have been coming here for about 6 months and have always had a good experience! I have told a number of friends to go here. I normally go to Randee and she is so kind and a pleasure to see every few weeks. I genuinely enjoy our sessions. My boyfriend and I have both been to her and she does a 10/10 job. I had to reschedule my appointment today and the esthetician we saw was very unfriendly and made me feel unwelcome in the store and unwelcome in Austin at large. I understand the animosity towards people new to Austin, but it was disappointing and unprofessional. My eyebrows look great despite the unpleasant exchange. read more

I got a Brazilian wax here recently and had a terrible experience. The lady doing my wax did not even introduce herself, and she did a horrible job with the wax. There was still hair left on my bikini line, and she rushed through the entire appointment. My skin was VERY irritated afterward, and I felt she did not care about the end result. I will not be coming back to this location and would not recommend it to anyone else. Go somewhere where they actually care about the people coming in. read more
