    Philly cheesesteak reality.
    Matt F.

They're charging nearly $20 for a Philly cheesesteak that doesn't look at all like the picture. I was expecting a firmer more crunchy baguette with steak nice and seared as in the picture. The french fries were pretty bland and soggy, but I did get delivery so I can't really complain about that so much. The Philly cheesesteak did have decent taste but it was just too small for the price.

We ordered takeout and ended up eating here- everything we got was delicious, and the food was ready as soon as we got there. The vibes were fun and it was a great place to spend time

Ok. Ok. Ok. Here we gooooo again. I left town because how much of a good time I have had here. The handsome bartender (Tyler I think) is soooo accommodating and patient. He wasn't he this time for some reason?!?! Anyhow, a new and more handsome bartender (Nathan?) told me about all his cool hobbies and our most in common is hobby horses. Who would've guessed Logan Square has a place for our kind! Finally seen and can't wait to see you with your most favorite pony. Cheers!

Came here on a Saturday evening before a night out with friend's because we wanted something to sip on & quick eats. When we arrived, there weren't many people there, but it was ok since we figured the waits wouldn't be long for our food/drinks. Staff was courteous, friendly & efficient. Took our orders right away & we went to go sit in the back area by the pool tables to wait for our food. Food came in increments, but rather quickly. For some quick bar food, I was pretty impressed! Everything we had tasted really good & full of flavor. I've never had the pizza dumplings, but the dough consistency was just enough bounce & not too much as the filling was decently filled. I love nachos, but the nachos were just meh to me, it was good, but not the best. Philly cheese was phenomenal, full of flavor & nicely filled. Not too salty & just enough bread. Fries were also nice & crispy. & then the wings, wings are always something to try anywhere I go. Buffalo flavors balanced well with a hint of saltiness & just the right amount of crispy texture. Would definitely return here!

For bar food this is really solid, tad over priced. I dropped by and scooped the wings, fried garlic is a really nice extra touch, along with being super crispy and juicy. Would order again although the celery wasn't the right color. The deluxe potstickers are unlike any menu item I've tried before, really glad I went out on a limb and ordered them. The bar was pretty dead inside though lacking energy in

Added another smash burger to my list of Chicago burger bars! This one reminded me of a combination of a few others I've had. Not the typical smash with crispy edges more like a full on double cheeseburger. Caramelized onions, pickles and a lot of sauce. I loved the bun and the burger was cooked great. A little too much sauce for me but I'm sure most love it. Definitely worth trying and the bar has a giant motorcycle painting which was a hit for me. My buddy had the Philly cheesesteak and said that was solid too. They have absinthe there in case you're wondering. I liked the vibe, dark and moody, chill on a Sunday. Good service and the bartender was friendly. Plenty of parking out front but we were on motorcycles. It's right by Giant, Scofflaw and a few other Logan Square restaurants and bars. You can't miss the neon sign. Enjoy!

My bf and I came in on a Saturday afternoon. The Ambiance and Aesthetic was warm and inviting. We immediately sat down at the bar and was served right away. We ordered Loaded Waffle Fries and Margherita Potstickers. We also Ordered a few drinks. Everything was amazing including the conversation from The bartenders we will Definitely be back. Bonus that they offer free pool !

Came here on a Friday night looking for some quick food and cocktails. I found it on Yelp and it was walking distance from our rental. The menu looked fire and it definitely delivered on expectations. It's a bar so they ID at the front and you have to order at the bar but can sit anywhere. We sat at the bar and ordered a round of cocktails, 2 double cheeseburger, curly fries and their famous pizza deluxe potstickers. The cocktails ( Space Face and Left Hand Path) were strong but well made. The cheeseburger was so damn good. It smash patty style and so filling. The curly fries came out hot, crispy and seasoned. The potstickers were good but slightly salty. The service was chill, which can be good or bad depending on your style but again it's a bar so don't expect table side restaurant service.

This is hands down my favorite bar in the neighborhood. The service is consistently friendly and attentive. The music is a range of psychedelic rock and I think I have yet to hear the same song more than once. I've been eating my way through the menu, the food has yet to disappoint . As a ranch snob I can confidently say the ranch here is top notch. You HAVE to try the cheese curds if you have the chance! I have so many good things to say about Way Out. Do yourself a favor and come here for a NICE FUN COOL TIME

We shared oysters, the crab dip, and tuna tartare. The oysters were alright. The crab dip was funky. It was a bit fishy and maybe too heavy on the dill? I'm not sure but something was a bit off. The tuna tartare tasted fresh and was a good combination of flavors. It would be the only food item I'd reorder from the happy hour menu.

I ordered the horchata 2 ways cocktail which was $12 for haply hour and is typically $16. $12 is the highest amount for a happy hour cocktail that I have ever paid and I dont think it was worth it. The 1st sip was good but it was a very sweet drink and I was over it by the end. The drink also was half a very heavy cream so when you drank it you were drinking the liquid but not getting much of the cream. So you either had to lick the cream off the top or drink on the liquid and then either leave the cream or somehow scoop it out with your tongue so not really a well conceived cocktail. One of the fun and unique things about the bar is they bring out free tapas every once in a while similar to bars in Spain. They brought out edamame to the people at the bar right around 5pm and a group next to me asked at around 530pm if more tapas would come out and the bar person said the come out every 45 mins. I was there til around 630pm and another round of tapas never came out so do not expect that if you go. They did not give you water unless you specific ask for it which I though was odd, I heard 3 groups besides myself at the bar who had to ask for water, especially since this is supposed to be a nice cocktail bar and this is just one of my pet peeves but the water did not contain ice and was closer to room temperature which is not how I enjoy my water. Despite not being super crowded I had to ask for the check from 2 different people and it took 15 mins for them to bring it so if it is crowded I expect they will have pretty slow service. They do bring you a fortune cookie woth your check where you can potentially win a discount on your check or other prizes which is fun. Unfortunately the fortune cookie tastes a bit stale. I would say that this place is not worth it for happy hour but it had a cool but very dark vibe in there so it might be good for a romantic date depending on how good the food is.

With mixology being all the rage for the last 20+ years, I almost feel like it's hard to come up with a new drink concept these days. Truce shows that creativity in the world of booze is alive and well, and I count myself lucky to have had a taste. The 'Peas + Carrots' was a surprise win. Scotch, blanco tequila, sochu, carrot, snap pea, ginger, and kukicha. Sounds bizarre as hell, but it absolutely works. I also had a 'Final Say,' a spin on a classic featuring gin, clementine, fino, galliano, turmeric, black pepper, and lemon. The 'I Can't Believe It's Beer' has everything from mezcal and rooibos tea to guava and an aperitivo. I could ramble on about their menu, but I'd say just check Truce out yourself. You get what I'm saying. Their creative juices are clearly flowing, and they switch the menu up seasonally. They have some light bites too, but I really recommend them for cocktails and coffee. I wouldn't come here for dinner. They do drinks, so come here to drink. Plenty of very savvy-sounding N/A options, too. It's sleek, intimate, sexy, relaxed, and fun. Come through at 8 AM for a cocktail, roll through at 11 PM for a coffee, there's no judgment here. I'll be keeping an eye on Truce.
