When you want a Chicago venue that's flexible, festive, and won't break the bank, this spot nails it. I'd been here before just to catch a Purdue game, but this time I used it for my child's first birthday--and the experience was great. Venue & Vibe * Huge patio space with multiple sections: bocce ball courts, trailer lounge, rugby room, and mixed covered areas. * Outdoor feel without the weather risk--covered sections keep it open-air but rainproof. * Works for all ages: our kid's birthday had kids running around, while nearby parties and brunch-goers kept the energy up. * Music and games give it a lively but not overwhelming atmosphere. Food & Drink * Brunch buffet was a hit--omelet station, solid variety, and plenty to keep guests happy. * Food quality is very good for a large-format service, though buffet choices are set for the whole venue (not customizable per party). Service & Booking * Staff was friendly, quick with drinks, and on top of things throughout the event. * Contracting and deposit process was simple and reasonable--no huge upfront costs. * Communication leading up to the event was straightforward. Verdict If you're looking for a versatile, north-side Chicago venue that combines outdoor energy with weather-proofing, good food, and approachable pricing, this is a sweet spot. Great for birthdays (kids or adults), group brunches, or any celebration where you want space, atmosphere, and value all in one.

Came here with a group of 7 and wow Park & Field has officially become our summer hangout spot. The place is super spacious, not too crowded, and there's plenty of room to wander or just chill. They've got games like foosball, Jenga, and our personal favorite bocce ball. We were seated right away and the service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home. We grabbed some drinks and classic bar food. Shoutout to the chicken nuggets and nachos, both hit the spot. I stuck with beer (no regrets) but the rest of the group loved their cocktails too. Later in the night we moved to the fire pit area and they even had s'mores kits. We all got to make our own and it was such a fun, cozy way to wrap up the night. 10 out of 10 would recommend. We're already planning our next visit.

Hosted a 50 th birthday here last night and glad I did. The neighborhood is a bit desolate and parking options can be a little tricky ( we found street parking ) but really this was a perfect spot for a fun, lively, cute and instagram worthy outdoor summer party. The food is solidly good and our gluten free and vegan guests were quite pleased with the clearly marked options we selected for them. Overall our guests particularly liked the bruschetta, mezze boards, cheese board, steak sandwiches quinoa burgers ( my personal fav), salad and fries. Skip the grilled cheese sandwiches ( this was the only item not a hit with our group and we ended bringing a ton home). The venue allowed us to bring in our own birthday desserts which was great and appreciated. Rented the add on camper bar and private s'mores pit which were so cute ( tip - start with just one order of s'mores - people ate way less than we anticipated). Had 2 adorable signature drinks at the camper bar which we named for my guest of honor ( as well as other great drink options). Servers were excellent. Shout out to Amanda and Jada who were friendly, welcoming, efficient and true pros. David, the owner, was easy to work with as well. Our guests ate, drank, played bocce ball ( another highlight!) and roasted s'mores. So fun! Best part is this place knows what they are doing and run as a well oiled machine. No need for an additional party planner. Easy for me from start to finish and made hosting less stressful than other places I have worked with in the past. If you are looking for a casual, adorable, really fun, fairly priced venue , I highly recommend Park and Field.

Cute sportsbar. We did the $30 burger and all you can do special on a Friday night. Burger was good. Drinks were decent. Felt the first drink was good and then became weaker and weaker. So we switched to beer. All-in-all a good time out. Several board games to choose from and the TVs played a variety of shows.

The day started off gloomy and gray, but as the clouds broke and the city transformed into a beautiful spring afternoon, the atmosphere inside Village Tap matched that same energy shift -- warm, lively, and welcoming. What truly makes this place stand out is the staff. Even while absolutely slammed with customers after another raucous Cubs post game crowd rolled through, Meg and Kevin never missed a beat. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and ability to stay accommodating under pressure was genuinely impressive. They made sure everyone felt taken care of, stayed on top of drinks and service, and somehow still kept the experience fun and relaxed despite the chaos around them. Kevin's witty banter and sense of humor add a personality to the bar that you just don't find anywhere around that area. It creates the kind of environment where regulars and first-timers alike instantly feel comfortable. Village Tap has always been a great neighborhood spot, but experiences like this are what separate good bars from truly memorable ones. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and even better people behind the bar. Even on one of their busiest, most understaffed days, Meg and Kevin proved exactly why this place continues to be a Roscoe Village favorite. My only gripe is The Golden Tee Cabinet. It was three of us meeting for dinner and some drinks. My friend had white wine, hubby had an Espressotini, and I the watermelon-cucumber marg. Then as an entree, my friend had the Jalisco Burger, hubby had the Salmon, and I a Salmon Caesar Salad. I personally loved the salad and the appetizers were great.
