Vegetable Spring Rolls... green chili emulsion, mint

My husband and I were walking around downtown Aspen last night and my husband- as usual was looking online for food. We make reservations sometimes and other times we just try our luck... He saw the ratings and menu for Wayan and we needed to try it. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and we asked the hostess what she recommended. The outside is beautiful, but she said the inside was really incredible so we tried that out, and she was not wrong. It is absolutely stunning & takes you away.... Our server was a very nice young man from South Africa- and small world- we had some friends in common- I love when that happens!! He was very knowledgeable about the menu, very helpful and friendly. He told us how the menu works- that we should put all of our order in at the same time, from smaller plates to the larger ones, and the chefs would send them out in a timely manner. He was not wrong... and, you can let them know your spice meter... how spicy you would like your food. We split a bottle of very nice champagne, and shared all of the food- it was extremely fresh and delicious. Soooo good- I highly recommend Wayan!! Great atmosphere, servers, food and drinks!

Very cool vibe! Delicious food. Sever was very nice , but long wait times between courses. Very energetic atmosphere with a DJ playing current and classic dance music. Not the place for a quiet evening but fun if you want something lively.

Went on opening night for cocktails and some light bites. Ambiance 5*. The ethereal Indonesian decor is fabulous. Truly unique. Food/Drinks 5* Creative cocktails such as Calamansi Fizz and the Devils Avocado expertly crafted with exotic ingredients and house made syrups. The Hiramasa Sashimi was divine with a ginger turmeric dressing was a standout. Service 5*. When the owner checks on you twice, you know service is on point. Enjoyed my conversation with the bartenders, who were true mixologists. Cedric Vongerichten has a winner in Aspen.

We thoroughly enjoyed the decor, food and service! The place is so beautifully decorated inside and there was a DJ playing, awesome place for dinner. It was a bit expensive, we spent $300 between 2 people and we felt that we didn't order that many items. (2 apps, 1 main, 3 drinks per person). We would definitely love to come back!

Here's your true rating and review. Atmosphere inside was very nice and different, however very stuffy ,it was hot no ventilation! Sit outside or don't go! Unless they put on the ac. There's 1 bathroom unless you want to walk a block. Big discomfort. Waitress was an amazing peppy young sweet girl. She was great . Food , appetizers main dishes took a very long time and the courses were sent out scattered. Sea bass was great! Mango salad average , potatoes and the yellow coconut rice poor reheated you can taste the microwave. Had the super small expensive dry aged (probably not aged for very long) steak, average at best if I'm nice ! But save your money on this dish. Chicken satay averaga. Very good was the beef fried rice. Didn't have dessert The meal took so long we wanted to get out

The ambience is very nice. It is open and bright and clean and Asian. They also had a case of desserts (like tiramisu) and ice cream. I've been going to Fairplay for years. I never stopped here because I didn't know what it would be like. Well let me tell you, the service could not have been better. Welcoming, efficient, readily able to make requested adjustments to dishes. There are many items on the menu to choose from. We had tofu and vegetables sesame chicken. Both were just so amazingly delicious. I actually find myself thinking of finding an excuse to go back to FairPlay so I can get such wonderful food again because in my area it's hard to find such good Asian food. I cannot recommend this place enough. It checked all of the boxes and then some. The only downside is there are no lunch specials but I felt like the food was worth every penny we paid.

I have pretty high standards when it comes to sushi (I eat it often and I'm picky about freshness and quality), and everything we ordered was impressive. The uni was incredibly fresh and creamy with that clean ocean flavor (no weird aftertaste at all), and the o-toro was unreal -- buttery, rich, and melted instantly. The rest of the rolls and nigiri were also on point. Great fish quality, good rice texture, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Service was solid and the overall vibe was exactly what you'd want after a day on the mountain. If you're in Snowmass and craving sushi, don't overthink it -- this place is absolutely worth it.

Nothing really stood out to me as far as decor goes - if there was anything cool it was overshadowed by the tvs. For drinks, my husband had an old fashioned which was good but not out of the park. I had their mocktail of the moment which was a yuzu Moscow mule. It was delicious and I'd highly recommend. On the food front, Hideout did a grand job. We started with their special loaded kimchi waffle fries. Epic! I love kimchi and everything about this dish was perfect. For entrees, my husband had their Thai Me Up Burger with shoestring fries and was very pleased with it. Cooked as requested and fun flavors. I had their Fried Chicken Sandwich with kimchi pasta salad and while I only ate half due to being filled from waffle fries, it was very tasty. On the whole, I enjoyed the food and drink at The Hideout, but not sure I would return for the atmosphere or recommend for large groups who want to hang out sans distractions. Zero Proof Review: I'm on a quest to check out all the zero proof, mocktail and n/a beverages that Denver and beyond has to offer. The Hideout did not have a very robust selection so I would love to see them expand that, but their seasonal mocktail was one of the best I've had, so kudos for creativity and craft!
