I've ordered a half bushel of crabs from this place before, and they were good. I'm not much of a crab cooker myself my cousin is usually the one who handles that but I had a craving for sautéed crabs and didn't want to travel too far. I called ahead, and they told me they had sautéed crabs available in different sizes. I ordered the $6 crabs, and by the time I arrived, my order was ready. The place was busy, which is always a good sign, and everything in the seafood case looked fresh. You can door dash it looked like I also picked up about $5 worth of their spicy cooked shrimp, and they were delicious. They offer soups, desserts in a display case, and seafood combination platters as well. They also accept tap to pay, which made checkout quick and easy. The only downside is the parking. It's very limited and can be frustrating. I ended up parking on Berkeley Street and walking around the corner. If you're planning to visit, be prepared to be patient when looking for a spot. While I was there, I noticed they had some great specials, including a half bushel for around $36, so it's worth asking about current deals when you call. When I got home, the sautéed crabs did not disappoint. They were fresh, meaty, nicely seasoned, and a good size. I was a little hesitant at first because I hadn't ordered sautéed crabs from here before, but everything turned out great. Located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia at Wayne and Berkley, this small seafood spot is fairly clean and you can often find staff steaming crabs out front. I ordered a dozen $4 crabs and two $12 crabs. The $4 crabs were delicious, but the $12 ones were unfortunately rotten. I mentioned it to the staff on my next visit, and their only response was "mmm..." -- no apology or resolution. Disappointed, especially since the cheaper crabs were so good. read more

I usually go to Bob's but after being fed up with their poor customer service I decided to try this place this past Friday. I was in and out, did not have to place an order beforehand, the cashier was pleasant and there was ample crabs available. I was urged to come in because I saw a big pot with steam coming out cooking outside. It's a pick up kind of place because it's small inside. I will most def come back and try something else. The staff here a wonderful! They always serve with smiles. The seafood is great! This hidden gem is a little piece of beach in the city.

This place is the worst, they constantly run out of crabs. The service is terrible also.

If I could I would zero star them. The service was nice but the food is not worth the price or your time. It's very salty I felt like I would have high blood pressure after eating one piece ( I'm only 27). For the price they are fitting in small to go plates you get one stem of broccoli and the corn is not good. One of my clusters had two legs smh. This used to be my favorite spot but now I can't stand them. They don't like to sauté crabs. Whenever I come they don't have a desire to do it. Besides one young lady, all the ladies st the counter have an attitude especially the short dark skin one. They need to operate with a higher level of professionalism. This place is horrible. They have a sign in the window that says $39.99 for a half a bushel. I asked for a half a bushel of live crabs and then told that was $60. I declined and asked for 2 dozen live crabs. I was giving the smallest crabs he had because I didn't want his cooked crabs. Everything is high and he changes prices as he goes. They say support black businesses and when you try they are the worse. This is not the 1st time having a bad experience with this establishment. This is it for me. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. Stopped in today for a fried fish platter. I enjoyed a nice portion of delicious trout. The breading was just right and it was fried to perfection: crunchy on the outside nice a flaky on the inside. I also had fries and mac. I was surprised because I usually only buy steamed crabs and figured that was their specialty. But the entire platter was tasty. I had low expectations for the mac, but it was as good as any soul food spot's mac and cheese, flavorful and cheesy, not bland and watery. Definitely getting my fish platters from here from now on. The females are rude ,they always mess up orders. I ordered food for a pick up was told 40 min after they didn't have the ingredients to complete my order. Upon arrival of course there was no food. When asked the staff where is the order was it ready laugh like I was the idiot that didn't place my order. Than attempted to call me a liar and said I hung up after they said I never placed an order. Then when pressed said she never gave the kitchen the order because she didn't get my name. Instead of the perfessional thing to do which is apologize. Meanwhile this wasn't the 1st time she had attempted call me a liar to cover herself until I distinctly described our interaction and her eating soup clam chowder with hot sauce (ghetto) while she should be serving customers. You try to be a patron of black business and this what you get. Mistakes are reasonable but attempting to make loyal customer the fall guy for your incompetents unexcusable. After multiple bad experiences with the Moran at the front counter I Will Not Spend My Hard Earned Cash with them anymore nor will I recommend them to anyone who ask about seafood on Germantown! If I could give them no stars I would. My sister and I ordered a half bushel. Got home melted some butter and prepared tov watch netflix and relax. Pulled a claw off of a crab and the smell was off. Tasted it and it was rotten. Proceeded through 5 or six more and it was the same thing. My sister's plate were all rotten too. Called them and they said we had to return them. We got out the reciept and realized they overchaged us! For a half bushel if rotten crabs! When we arrived they told us they wouldn't have cooked crabs. Magically these appeared. The staff kept confiming these were "the half bushels" and wanted to make sure they had "cooked long enough" this plus the nonchalant attitude makes me think they knew they were bad when they sold them. When we returned them they told us to go to the back and proceeded to crack and smell them. They owner was there but said NOTHING to us. How could you run a business like this.
