I wish Yelp allowed these to go up to 10 stars. That's how good they are. They saved our dog's…read morelife. And even if they really didn't, to us they did. Our dog was blindsided by another dog and sustained what we now know was a neck injury that led to surgery later in the week at Cornell. Dr. James Gilchrist was there waiting for us at 11 p.m. on a Saturday night as we carried our girl in, unsure why her eyes were beat red, her breathing was heavy and she was unable to stand. He did a great job of stabilizing her and kept her overnight. When she was unable to stand the next day he recommended she needed an MRI. As we waited the painfully long 48 hours to get an MRI for Apple, Dr. Gilchrist and his team took care of our dog and even came to open up at 3:30 in the morning due to the early morning MRI in Rochester. Our dog is now on the mend and going through a few more weeks of crate rest and at-home physical therapy as she recovers from a disc injury. While the care she received down at Cornell for the surgery was top-notch, our longest-lasting memory about how our dog was given the chance to walk again will always be the emergency care that Dr. Gilchrist provided, all at fair prices.

I called WVC to ask if we could have his glaucoma medication filled by their pharmacy because we are in an emergency situation. Their client service representative refused, telling me both that they have no capacity for new clients, and that they refuse to fill a prescription from another doctor. She was inflexible, insensitive, rude and dismissive, and she hung up on me when I was trying to make a final suggestion. And to top it off, all this happened after waiting on hold on the phone for over ten minutes, she dismissed my comment that I had already waited ten minutes, and put me on hold again. My family have been clients of this practice since the 1980s. I am so disappointed and angry. They don't deserve to care for our animals if this is the way they treat their family members.

There is not enough that I can possibly say about Dr. Price at Clinton Pet Vet. I have a very, very…read moredeep love for my babies. Dr.Price has been my savior since 2014. It first started with my boy Hank. Two other places almost killed him because they neglected him the proper care and almost killed him. In 2019, unfortunately one of my babies Abby became very ill and had to be put down, Dr. Price knew how bad this was for me and came right to my home and took care of everything. Not everyone would do that. Then in 2020 my other baby Sophia, who was 15 at the time ended up with a lot of health issues. With every ounce of love and expertise Dr. Price was able to care for her and she was with us for two more years until she was 17. And from there on out Dr. Price and her wonderful staff continue to take care of all of my babies. I currently have 6 dogs and 1 cat and I can't imagine having them cared for by anyone but Dr. Price and her staff. Thank you to all of them!

I brought my dog there and when my cat passed away I wanted to send it for a necropsy but the young brats that answered the phone refused to allow me to even speak to the owner. These young females (yeah, the dog kind) were so rude, lacked compassion, had absolutely no empathy, and couldn't even be bothered to offer condolences for my loss. They stated that since my cat had never been seen there they refused to send him out for a necropsy. How does a vet even contemplate 1- not wanting to determine cause of death 2 - refusing the business and money 3 - allow such nasty, snotty people answering the phones? I had to file a complaint with the attorney generals office I order to obtain my dog's records. That place is by far absolutely the worst vet I have ever been involved with and I've had pets for over 30 years. If I won the lottery, I would pay the vet bills of every person that left this place and went elsewhere. This place should jot be on business. I never found out why my young cat passed away and I will never forgive them for that. Be warned!!

After all, who wants to take their furry pal to a 2nd rate spot? After talking to some locals and seeing some reviews, it was clear that Village Veterinary was our spot. This was confirmed when we saw how many thank you cards, plaques, and other mementos they had hanging up from current and former "patients". Our cat is NOT a fan of the vet due to his blindness, so we were immediately impressed when the staff put is in a quiet room to wait as opposed to the general waiting room where you have dogs barking, cats hissing, and the general zoo-like nature of a veterinary waiting room. the appointments are usually running on time and they get you in and out. We are currently patients of Dr Jamie Hopper who is phenomenal! She has helped so much with educating us on the best care for our little guy. They have an adjacent surgery and emergency center so if you ever need help, they have the capabilities to handle it. I would not look anywhere else if you need animal care in Central New York.

She was euthanasiaing another at the same time. It seemed that she was trying to make money for her company. She was extremely unprofessional. The other girls in the office were very kind. I would never recommend this "hospital" to anyone. I am so sorry that we didn't take him to his original vet.
