Never got proper permits to do the work after saying they would. Electrical work was fine, came out to more than the estimate, but I was okay with that. Really disappointed that Alex did not get permits after saying he would do so. read more

I called and it goes straight to voicemail multiple times on a Friday between 12pm-5:30pm. There is also NO CONTRACTOR LICENCE on the CSLB website for Wayne Electric out of Roseville Ca or Alex Wayne. No license number displayed anywhere. I'll adjust my review once I see that they answer the phone and provide a proper contracting license since it is illegal and unsafe to contract in this manner. read more

Do not work with Alex. We tried to work with Alex to add plugs, fans, etc into our home we just moved into. After being paid upfront, Alex started to work right away. However, after a couple weeks passed he started dodging our text/calls which made us assume he's not wanting to get the work done. Once we confronted Alex he told us he has done enough and blocked our numbers. Please please save yourself the trouble plus time finding a reputable and respectful contractor elsewhere. We also requested a Ring doorbell and Ring cameras be installed. He ended up installing the wrong type of cameras and we had to message him several times to get them replaced for the correct ones. Alex also left several holes in our walls and promised to patch them. He has not fixed anything as of yet. Just to top it off my mom is bed ridden and only has so much $$!! She paid upfront in good faith and he completely destroyed that trust. read more

Alex has poor workmanship (even dangerous) and does not keep his word.  I  recommend finding someone else more reliable to do your job. I started a project contractor search on 10/8 for installing a 240V electrical outlet in the garage in preparation for installing a charger for my electric car, which would be delivered later that week.  I got bids from several contractors suggested by Yelp.  I chose to go with Wayne Electric since he was very responsive and had a competitive quote for $550 even though he had 0 reviews on Yelp. On Tuesday, when he showed up,  he said that he could do it for only $450.  After he finished in about 40 min, he showed me the voltage coming out of the outlet was 240V.  I was prepared to write him a check, but he requested an electronic payment like Venmo.  When i was paying with Venmo, he asked to make it a gift so that he doesn't have to pay for taxes.  This should have been a warning sign, but I agreed and sent him a "gift" payment for $450.  I couldn't try out the outlet since my EV charger had not arrived yet. I finally received the charger on Thurs and installed it next to the new outlet.  After I plugged it in, the charger powered on, but it started beeping, and the fault light started blinking a code that the outlet may not be grounded.    I opened up the circuit breaker to check the wiring and found no ground wire connected.  Then I opened up the outlet and found the ground wire that was connected to the recepticle was just a 1 foot wire connected to nothing.  I reached out to Alex and sent him a picture of the dangling ground wire (attached to the review).  He said that he had it grounded to the back of the box with a butterfly nut.  Obviously, he was lying since the wire was not even stripped on that end.  Also, this is not the proper way to ground an outlet since it might cause a fire if there is a short.  He said that he would be there Friday around noon to fix it. On Thurs at 2:40 pm, he sent a text saying that a sudden emergency came up and that he would come Fri afternoon to fix it and give back some money for the inconvenience.  On Fri at 4:17 p.m., I texted him asking when he would be coming.  He said that he was slammed, and if he didn't make it out, he would send half the money back to me.  I told him that if he does not come out today, he needs to refund all my money.  He said that he would still come out to fix it on Sat and give back all my money. Sat morning, I texted him to ask when he was coming.   He said he was in the Bay Area and wouldn't be able to leave until 4 pm.  I texted him again at 4 pm. to confirm that he was leaving, and he said he was about to leave.  At 5:35 p.m., I texted him to ask for his ETA.  He responded in 45 min.  At 7:15 p.m., he was still a no-show, so I texted him to see if he was still going to show up.  There was no response, so at 8:32 p.m., I texted him to just send me back my money, and we could call it done.  No response.  Then, the next morning (Sun) at 8:06 a.m., I texted him that he had until noon to send me back all my money, but there was no response. read more

Alex responded to my request for the replacement of two ceiling lights with two ceiling fans/light kits. He did an EXCELLENT JOB!!! Alex was in constant communication with us, arrived promptly, and got the job done! One ceiling mounting bracket was missing a screw and Alex was able to replace that screw making sure the ceiling fan was secure and in no danger of falling. Once the job was complete, he cleaned the entire area, boxed up old fixtures, etc. Alex is very personable and friendly. Also, his prices are very reasonable.
