Back in November of 2020 we had SS Building replace a low slope portion of our roof. After the…read morefirst rain we discovered that the roof was leaking even worse than before the repair. SS Building said that they needed to replace the pitched portion of the roof and facia we agreed with their assumption. The second installation resulted in more leaks! Their roofer Mike (they no longer have a roofing department (shocker) kept coming out to "fix" the issues. Luckily he sent us pictures. It doesn't rain a lot here in San Diego so they would do a fix and we would wait.... The next rain would come and more leaks. We can't finish the drywall in the house because of the leaks and now have mold in one of our rooms. SS Building finally sent an actual roofer to inspect our roof. My husband walked around the roof with the roofer that SS Building sent out. The roofer told him that our roof looked much older than it was. He couldn't believe that it was only 4 years old. He pointed out shingles that were lifting, edges that were done incorrectly, the chimney edges, etc.... We showed him the pictures that Mike took of one of his "fixes" and he said that the wrong product was used on the flat roof. It was product that was supposed to be for a pitched roof. And that they it was burned when they torched it. I will attach the pictures. When he left he told us that the only suggestion he was going to make was to replace the entire roof. Now SS Building is saying that their roofer said "We are sorry that you are experiencing these issues, we plan to remedy them. The roofer informed us that he can re-heat all necessary edges, seal around solar stands and flash the chimney with torch and counter flashing. The roofer believes that by doing this work, it should take care of any and all issues." Completely different than what he told us...

I'm very hesitant to write negative reviews on contractors online because I think mistakes happen…read more What's important is fixing mistakes. However, WAYCO keeps delaying remedying the issues I have had and is not taking responsibility. I hired them to remodel my kitchen, paint, entry way and stairs. My floors have buckled a few months after install. I had shared concerns with my Project manager on the install and asked them to speak to the manufacture. They did not like materials and refused to talk to install manager by material manufacture. These are materials I had before I hired them and provided them will all install information needed when they wrote the estimate. Mind you these are Calibamboo floors that have thousands of customers happily supplied by several big box stores. However, an inspection done by a 3rd party in February show they did not leave proper expansion gap for vinyl floor. Once they found out the cost to reinstall floor they did not want to take accountability and wanted to get a inspection from someone else (they claimed my inspector was biased because he submitted a install price. However, he was called by WAYCO to give estimate 4-5 months AFTER he wrote the inspection.) Their inspector admitted to being friends with the floor installer while assuring me "he's a stand up guy who will fix the issue" this report had a handful of false claims given to him by floor installer, which I had picture documentation to show were not true. They did not get their inspection updated without false information on it and therefore is not accurate. Their inspector however also noted lack of expansion gap. At the end of the day I have reached out to them for 9 months asking them to fix the situation and they have yet to offer me any concrete resolution other than ask me to pay 1/3 of repair cost without giving me any information of that cost after asking several times for more information. I went with someone who was licensed, seemed to care about the outcomes, and was not at all the cheapest person. I did it because I trusted them, but it is clear they will not stand by their work if it costs them a penny more. I find it sad because other than the floor contractor they used, their electrician, plumber, painter, and framers so far have seemed to do good work.
