My driveway is a steep hill and the new place has stairs, yet they moved my entire home efficiently and carefully. Almost UNBELIEVABLE if it weren't true! My wife and I hired Global Elegance out of Boca Raton, FL…read more on 5/23/25 to pickup a dining table and 8 chairs from Rustic Furniture Depot In Texas. GE (Global Elegance), we were told had a truck currently in Texas with room to accommodate the dining set. We sent GE $800 as partial payment for the move of our furniture. 5/27/25, the date was scheduled for pickup at RFD (Rustic Furniture Depot). 5/25/25 - we get a call from GE saying that they hired a company called UShip Van Lines based in Skokie, IL. to pickup the dining set on Tuesday 5/27. GE indicated that they would basically broker this deal and stay on top of UShip and the move. 5/27/25 - UShip NO SHOW 5/28/25 - UShip NO SHOW 5/29/25 - UShip picks up at RFD. RFD confirms the pickup with us via text. They also email me my invoice which included the driver's name. "Eric Chapman" is what the store had as his name. ..Right! My wife and I call UShip the next day, 5/30/25 - we want to know when delivery is scheduled for now that the truck is in route to Los Angeles. UShip was very unhelpful. The language barrier with UShip was an issue because every single person we dealt with was Russian. Their English was at best 15% of being understood. It was difficult I'm sure in both directions but to get any information was difficult. We were told we'd get a callback but never did. 5/31/25 - Tried calling both GE and UShip for any information on the delivery. Both places said they would look into it and call us back. Nobody called us back. 6/01/25 - Same, told they would contact driver and call us back and nobody called us back. 6/02/25 - Same. 6/03/25 - My wife and I received a call from the actual driver, doubtful I believe because 1, he was another Russian speaking man and his name he's claiming was Eric. Lolol, something is fishy here. He claims he had an accident and that our items were destroyed. He said it happened in Kansas. Dallas to Los Angeles via Kansas?? Something isn't right. Eric said he would email us a video and he did. We were able to see that the chairs were the actual beautiful chairs that we purchased. We were told that 4 of the chairs survived the accident. We were told that he would have insurance forms sent to us for the items that were destroyed. We still haven't gotten those. 6/04/25 - 7/06/25 The next few weeks has been a nightmare of lies and delays and more lies. Just today we find out that UShip farmed out the entire pickup and delivery to yet another trucking company. ALM Prem Group based in Irvine, CA. I believe this because UShip gave us their DOT #. Sure enough it was ALM. I called the up and spoke to a gentleman named Maksim. Yet another very Russian speaking fellow and I can't hardly understand him. After talking with him however he was aware of the accident. He was aware the a delivery is in progress as we speak. He claims the truck will be here at my location delivering our remaining chairs for inspection. Maksim said that the insurance will go through them and forms will come after inspection on Friday. So stay tuned as I hopefully, when this is all said and done can change my recommendation of this company from MAYBE to YES with 5 stars instead of 1.

And for the matter of this I'm giving a second star. However, my working desk was damaged, and despite the promises of fixing it it was never done, and when I asked for a refund of the table it wasn't given to me. The TV was hung wrong (the mount was upside down) and I found out about this months later! Even though I asked to do everything very thorough and well done since I have a little baby crawling around and it all has to be safe. The bedroom dresser got a bit of scratch marks but I was ready to let that go already. The shelf in the garage that o asked to put up also was not hang properly it literally fell when I checked it before putting couple items on it. Thankfully I checked it and redone it myself before putting anything on it. So, for the price of the move inside the same complex the guys were okay. But for anything else that I asked it was not good at all. And they should've said they can't do that job rather than charging for it and not doing a good safe job as I asked. Also they were late and forgot the tools that they needed for the move and I had to give them my own (but what if I didn't have it?) And on top of all of that one of they guys was sneezing, which I didn't put much attention to at first, until my whole family got sick with covid 3-4 days later. Including the fact that we didn't interact with anybody else expect these guys (I had a newborn and was very careful with whom I interacted, and I was pretty much the only person who dealt with the movers and I got sick first before it spread to the rest of my family.) Fine, even if I drop the covid part, there were a lot of little things that affected the review of their job. And even if at first it looked like still a good job and I even tipped them, after they were done I started finding all these mistakes and issues that weren't resolved at the end of the day.

Due to legal proceedings that took too much of my time, I was moving stuff last minute with less time of course, as needed a company available. I was the second appointment of the day of which I was present but things couldn't get done since the storage place closes at 6 or 7 pm and I had to leave the next day. The next day I wasn't present, but a great neighbor was available to help me escort them up, oversee them pack, pay them on my behalf, and physically take the items to my storage unit of which my neighbor gave them the key and location of my unit. Fast forward to the end of summer and I opened my storage unit, grabbed my apartment keys and I see that they totally moved my items and packed it nicely in my storage unit. They also give you the option to provide your own boxes to help offset the cost or they will charge for the boxes they bring. Make sure to be prepared if you're short on time.

I called, and was told they were still coming and that the manager would call the driver and have the driver call me with a time estimate...I informed them this is really getting stressful because my storage closes at 9pm. He assured me everything was okay and they'd come and hurry. Driver never called. Had to call back a couple times as it kept going to voice mail. When I did reach the manager again was told they were coming. Drivers finally came at 730pm. They told me because there was only 2 of them, they could not move the piano. I asked them to get the manager on the phone. The manager said he told me he could only send a third person late Sunday. I reminded them he said he would send a third person out and said nothing that it would be nearly 24 hrs later... I would have never agreed to that as I needed to be out early the next morning. When I initially called these people, I had qoutes very similar in price from many movers. I chose them out of many other options. Now, I'm desperately trying to find someone to move me in the time I need. This company totally screwed us and our family and I will ensure I go out great lengths to let people know the same could happen to them. They: Do not show up on time They do not stand by their word They do not communicate well They do not have integrity as a business. If you need movers to be on time and show up and do what was agreed upon.... do not use this company!

Every time I had them pack and unpack my belongings as well as move me. In one case they stored half of my belongings for a year. They've never broken or lost a single thing, and everything came out of storage in great shape. They were prompt, careful, conscientious and courteous every time.
