High praises for Howard, he's so easy to work with. Although I did need to replace my hard drive, he was able to recover my files. He showed me the web site to order it from, so got a great deal on the replacement drive. Another plus is that he came to my house to check things out, took it home to repair it, and delivered it back to me. His prices were very reasonable. FANTASTIC customer service! Howard is amazing, hands down would trust him with all my mac related needs. He was always very fast to communicate, very thorough and helpful in his emails, and very open and honest about all my options. He even showed me that my iMac might still be covered under some extended warranty replacement program for my failing hard drive...and guess what, it worked! I bought my iMac 3+ years ago so I thought all my options for warranty things were finished, but thankfully Howard directed me towards this, otherwise I would never have known! Howard did a great job. My portable hard drive was no longer being recognized by any computer (but was still spinning and warm). It was mostly backed up, but some of the more recent files were not. I contacted Howard, and on the same day he let me know he would be passing through the area and could pick up the drive. We coordinated and I went outside and handed off the drive to him. A little after 5pm on the following day, Howard e-mailed me that the drive was damaged, but that he had recovered the data. There were just a few files that were on bad blocks that were corrupted and lost (but since 95% of the data was backed up - those files were safe). I arranged to pick up a new drive with the data the following morning. Howard was fast, efficient, convenient, professional. He gave me a brochure for a data recovery specialist in S.F. in case I wound up with a drive that was more severely damaged. I'd definitely contact Howard again if I have any computer issues. read more

We cannot recommend Howard and We Fix Your Mac more highly. Howard is exceptionally knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. We had been having trouble for forever with our wifi and printer, but with Howard's reconfiguring, everything has been running perfectly for months now. We would say that Howard "worked his magic" but he is really great about taking the mystery out of the work that he does. He explained everything that he was doing in plain english and was full of a myriad of suggestions about our mac, pc, ipad and iPhone. And Howard's prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of service that he provides in the comfort of your own home. I needed to have my hard drive cable replaced on my Macbook Pro early 2013. It's a problem with this particular Mac. He had it ready within 24hrs and even replaced the pads on the bottom of my mac which had fallen off. Price competitive and service exemplarily! read more

After years of not having a rational way of sorting out, updating, and backing up the multiple Apple devices in my house, I finally admitted (that's the first step, right?) that I needed help. I cannot say enough good words about Howard. It was a pleasure to meet such an honest and competent person. My Mac book air died on me and the earliest appointment at the genius bar that I could get was a week away (totally ridiculous). Luckily Howard offered to look at it right away and as he had spare drives, he said he might even be able to fix it in a day or so. Within a few hours of calling him, he looked at the computer and he determined that it was a memory problem rather than a hard drive issue. He even offered to take my computer for me to a factory that does this kind of job and would cost about $400 as opposed to about $800 in an Apple store. Then I asked him whether it would be worth to fix it for that amount. He said that since this is an old model (2GB), I should consider getting a new one. He did not charge me anything for this valuable diagnostic and advice.Thank you, Howard. read more
