I should have checked the reviews.... Long story short it was the usual hustle. Not only do they refuse to address mistakes, they rely on inaccurate "drawings" over actual physical measurements. Then they want you to pay more to fix their mistakes. On August 17, 2022 crew arrived, worked, left without telling me. When I went out in the evening to inspect, 150' or so was not sealed. I reported the issue three times before I finally got a response. (Initial call not returned, first email not answered and finally -- after much research -- got a non-888 number to call, which since I was traveling, I left VM and suggested texting.) Then owner insisted his GoogleMap drawing was more accurate than my physical measuring with a wheel. Thus shorting me 10% of the job. Considering I paid for 13,884 sq ft of seal coat and only 12,200 or so was done, that's a lot of missing material. Then he refused to address the issue, ghosted me for almost a week and then when I responded to a payment reminder email asking for a status update I got a rather abusive response listing all his demands. Considering this was an audition job for a million dollar project I am spearheading this fall, last night I paid the full amount and cut the time waster loose. He will refuse to admit his crew simply weren't briefed on the full job and that he is too cheap to send them back up here to finish the job. He'll also try to provide map proof that he's right, yet I can take the same software and prove I'm right..... Final synopsis, move along and find another contractor. -------- 9/13/22 Update: Finally home from travels and fully measured what the contractor sealed vs what they were paid to seal and surprise surprise, nothing has changed. Our driveway is 715' long x 13' wide: 9295 sq ft But they only sealed 615' of that: 7995 sq ft They ignored the 50' x 13' easement, so that's another missing 650 sq ft The original quote for the courtyard was for 3978 and per the measurements attached it was actually 4300 sq ft. 7995 + 4300 = 12295 That's a shortage of 1589 sq ft. And now they have responded to my grumpy review with "We're sorry that you took the route of contention instead one of friendly resolution." Seriously? 1) These people ignored my first call and first email regarding the issue. 2) Then when I provided measurements consistent with the original quote they insisted their measurements of a _picture of my driveway_ are more accurate than my feet and a wheel. 3) They then they ghosted me for almost a week. 4) To top it all off, their final salvo was to send me an email with all their "demands" and another screen shot of a satellite image showing what they "sealed," thus illustrating yet again that their delusional scribbles on a picture of my driveway are not based in reality -- plus if they really had sealed various bits in said picture many plants and trees would now be dead. During all this time they could have gotten off their lazy butts and measured everything themselves but no, instead they put the onus on me. Instead they blame me for their crew's mistake. Instead they tried to make demands and threaten me when I simply wanted them to come back and finish the fricking job. Bottom line: AVOID THESE PEOPLE read more

Our parking lot was in need for some loving tender care. After shopping around, I found WE LOVE PAVING. I used my best form of vetting and came up with a "go" to use this company. Our Handicapped parking stalls were in desperate need of updating. Fred came out immediately and surveyed the area in question. He brings expertise in the disabled parking stall category. The job took much less time then anticipated and results came out excellent. So well, we decided to add another area of the parking stalls the following week. Be weary and consider other more transparent paving contractors before you do business with We Love Paving. I contacted them for a job to fix my non-compliant commercial parking lot. At the time (around December 2019), their website & yelp advertised one of their specialties was ADA compliance which led us to request for a quote. I was looking for someone who had knowledge in ADA compliance to help me with a van accessible re-striping job, and stressed many times that I was looking to convert an existing normal handicap spot, to a van accessible spot. I picked out a spot, in which he did not advise against in regards to compliance, and he did the work. Fast forward some time after I did an ADA inspection, I found out it was non-compliant. Fred knew the whole time and still opted to do the job without letting me know. He proceeded to guilt trip me saying he was helping me out by doing this job since they had a minimum fee, and that he ultimately got the short end of the stick for being a 'good person' and trying to help out. Had I known about the minimum I would've gone with someone else, paving companies are not in short supply. He doesn't realize this causes more work and time from the client, but perhaps he's incapable of seeing things from that perspective. I tried to reach a resolution with him. Beyond the faulty work he did (his re-lining work did not dry properly, and looked horrible day after), part of what we paid for was handicap signage, which he admittedly forgot in email. I have reached out to him many times to just provide the missing signs, and have still to this day, not received a response. He was very responsive while trying to quote me $10-15K to fix the job he failed to do, but went missing as soon as I said that I only wanted the signs that goes with the job that I paid for. Checking their yelp & website now, I can see that there is no longer an ADA specialty listed, and that they have updated their page with a $5,000 minimum.. At this point I just want the general public to know how I was treated from this establishment. I've already contracted another company, whom already completed the job for a fraction of the price with legitimate paperwork and permits. read more

Most places won't come back and do free warranty work a year later, which WLP did. Since they'd built three new walls and paved areas which hadn't been paved, some minor, natural settling occurred over time. WLP came out and re-paved these spots for free, as opposed to just filling them with asphalt. If your concern is quality, you don't have to worry with Fred's company, which stands by its work. Estimator came out. She was really nice. Gave me a great quote to have my driveway resurfaced. Scheduled it for a Saturday. The day of the job they called me at 3:00 pm and said their machine broke and that would not be able to come out that day. Ok no big deal. So After rescheduling they call me back a few days later and say they have to cancel all together. I'm not sure why. Any way I got my deposit back but wasted a lot of time. read more

I was only onsite for execution of scope of work.
