They talked me through the process, checked in often, and kept reassuring me that I was doing "awesome" (which I still side-eye a little, but I appreciated every word of encouragement ). The care and compassion made a huge difference, and the end result was absolutely worth it. We even bonded over our dogs -- which somehow helped calm my nerves more than anything else. He replied inside of a couple hours, thankfully, since I had clients meetings Saturday afternoon AND Sunday and preferred NOT to look like a SnagglePuss. I know this much: My previous dentist didn't maintain Saturday hours and likely wouldn't have returned my **urgent** request until Tuesday (given Monday is a holiday). We make it a point to go first thing in the morning. The most important thing for us was the comfort of our children. They love Dr. J, so much so that my oldest wants to visit her every time he has a loose tooth so she can remove it, rather than let me pull it. When I finally got her onto the phone, she tried to claim my son needed another "doctor approval" before scheduling--a complete lie from someone who clearly has zero clue how to do her job. Then came the absolute kicker: I dragged my son to this pointless appointment, only for the doctor to say, "I heard you wanted to speak with me." NO! I NEVER asked for this useless appointment! The clueless coordinator forced us in for literally NO REASON when all I wanted was to schedule my son's surgery! No Seriously! :)) Starting from the front desk as a walk in patient , it was a really easy and smooth process , filled the required documents and by the time I finished I was called in the doctor room , she listened carefully to my problem and then started the X rays with the help of the technician - easy process- then the doctor told me it's a ROOT CANAL! It wasn't the words I want to hear and that was really scary for me! The doctor started with the anesthesia shot and made sure I have no feeling at the required part and then started the work. I was allowed to listen to my music - remember I was still nervous - and all of sudden I heard the word DONE ! :)) I was like , Done?? Where is the pain?? Where is the screaming part I should do?? Lol I went again for another filing and that time I was pretty sure of how easy and smooth is the process! Her receptionist Amber was professional and kind, Dental assistant (forgot her name) was reassuring and they NEVER judged my decaying teeth! What I loved most is that Dr. Massoud DDS help create a treatment plan to get my teeth/mouth healthy. I am impressed and she's MY DENTIST!!! BTW, go girl power with all female staff!
