    Garlic olive oil

Walked into this store out of the blazing heat outside and two people welcomed us into the cool store. First, probably not a great idea to shop for food items after eating a huge lunch! Oh well....tried the basil oil, chocolate vinegar and garlic oil. All were very flavorful. Distinct basil taste, chocolate flavor, and garlic. Ended up buying the garlic oil, while strong, could definitely use where fresh garlic is needed. Thanks ladies for helping a couple of hot and tired people!

So many olive oils to chose from. Local extra virgin olive oils and good quality vinegar is sold here. You will find some gift items as well, the wood bowls and cheese boards are beautiful. Overall a good place to stop by when in downtown Paso Robles.

Paso Almonds $15 for 1 lb bag

We Olive is best known for tasty flavored olive oils that are perfect for dipping bread, drizzling over salads and best for making sauces. We Olive also sells specialty vinegars and various gourmet foods that can pair nicely with both olive oil and vinegar. This particular location can be found in downtown Paso. I came by here on a Saturday afternoon, looking specifically for a local snack item, Paso Almonds. I first discovered Paso Almonds (which is delicious almond brittle made locally in San Luis Obispo) a few years ago at a market in Pismo Beach. Although the General Store (a few blocks away from We Olive) also sells Paso Almonds, they actually cost $1 more than Paso Almonds website (since on the Paso Almonds website, it does show that We Olive stores carry their products). Anyways, when I came in, I was greeted by the employee. I walked over to the counter and was about to ask if they sell Paso Almonds when I saw several bags by the register ($15 for 1 lb bags). The service was friendly. When I was paying for my items, I had overheard an employee telling a customer that she can provide samples of any of the oils and vinegars (since the customer had said to the employee that she assumed they were allowed to sample any of the oils. The employee had told her that they can but the employees have to be the ones to pour the samples out in the plastic cups for customers). Just wanted to include that information for those that were wondering about that if you plan on visiting this location. Overall, had a good experience at this location (and have at their other locations) and would come back here again.

Mail order products come extremely well protected with it really fast shipping!

Insanely good stuff. The balsamic vinegars are AMAZING! I've been using a variety for years, peach, blood orange, fig, raspberry, etc. With daily bean salads in a thousand variations being the literal backbone of my diet, the quality of these products make that presuit possible. There's no veggie or bean that I don't like in these salads and the addition of a good olive oil, spices, and this thick, sweet, intensely flavorful product makes it all possible. I've been in the store when it was in Old Fig but recently did mail order from this location. The order was so well packed and came so quickly. A quality oil and balsamic vinegar is a game changer in the kitchen and if you've not tried it, YOU'RE MISSING OUT! I'm eating these bean salads 2-3 times a day and still craving them. So good to know I'm getting all the benefits of a high fiber, diverse diet in something so practical and easy to make. Honestly, I make a huge bowl and eat it throughout the week. And when you're single, you can use like 8 times the fresh garlic you would otherwise. Needed a good vehicle for more garlic and now this too is possible with the bean salad ticket! Fresh Garlic Oil, Aged Balsamic Vinegar and Wine Knots

Olive oil, flavored vinegars, samples, wine crackers, pesto sauce, mustards, gourmet foods, gifts for all occasions and friendly service led to a tasty experience at this interesting store. We met a friend in town for dinner and did a little shopping before at this yummy place. The shop is decorated so pretty and is a real treat for the eyes. Lots of unique and useful gifts for friends and family. We walked in and were warmly greeted and invited to taste all the olive oils on display. All were very good but I was drawn to the fresh garlic olive oil and the aged balsamic vinegar. I also purchased a package of the Wine Nots(little snack crackers with white wine from Italy). I was about ready to check out with my oil and vinegar but my husband wanted me to try their "handmade Caramel sauce". I was instantly sold! This was the creamiest, richest Caramel sauce I had ever let my tongue taste. I was envisioning dipping apples into this sauce and feeling heavenly, so of course I had to purchase it. They use no preservatives and it is gluten free. I can tell that I will need to make a return trip back here or order online soon as we have really enjoyed our purchases. The fresh garlic olive oil has tasted exceptional on veggies, pasta and of course hot bread. The Caramel sauce is almost gone too but totally worth every delectable taste.

Very cute store. I ended up buying an aged balsamic and truffle salt. My visit here was very quick and the lady who helped me was very friendly. They have awesome cheeseboards and wooden bowls. Loved everything about it b

Be careful for the sweet little lady Ms. Soni, who will come to kindly offer you tastes of the various oils and balsamic & her favorite mixes of them, lol. Once you start trying things... Came in just to look and wife's eyes opened with every tasting Ms. Soni suggested, hahaha. Wife ended up buying bottles of this and that. At checkout, I told Ms. Soni that I will be warning people about her, cause once you try her suggestions, you will surely covet the discoveries. She's a great, zero pressure sales master that knows her products! Even I managed to lock my eyes onto a Medusa, a jar of bleu cheese stuffed olives! In vermouth no less! Can't stand the olives in markets with oil in them, so this froze me at the thought to putting in my dirty martini, so it got added to the bag, lol. Trying the bleu cheese olives at home in martini, I think they are good and delicious, but too salty. Maybe I need to dunk the olives in water to get some salt out of it to make it better. Otherwise, delicious addition to the martini! And the joys of having bleu cheese olives at home made me think I may try stuffing myself when I finish this bottle, so this is a place for discovery and ideas to come alive by visiting! Not sure on all the other products wife got, seems she's been quietly using on her salads and what not:)

6 Star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert…read more SIX STAR ALERT. SIX STAR ALERT. That right people, I said it.... And 6 times to be exact! Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!

This restaurant came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. When we arrived, the setting was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by Michelle. She was gracious, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We especially appreciated the personalized place card waiting for us with our reservation. At first, my wife and her friend were a bit unsure as they reviewed the menu, as they didn't immediately see options that appealed to them. However, that quickly changed. Our friend ordered the asparagus salad and croquettes, while my wife chose the rosemary garlic grilled prawns and roasted heirloom carrots. Both dishes completely exceeded expectations--they were blown away by how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. Over the course of our trip, we visited many wineries and enjoyed several excellent meals throughout the Central Coast. Yet by the end of it, both my wife and her friend agreed that this dinner stood out as the most memorable--truly the highlight among many great experiences. Thank you for starting our trip on such a high note.
