I've never seen so many varieties of olive oil and vinegars available for free tasting! You'll go on a palate journey trekking through ~30 different flavors of things. Each one tastes fresh, with grassy if you like it, fruity if you want it, and infusions galore. The pineapple balsamic vinegar was great, 10/10 would use as a light dressing on fish. They offer crackers and bread pieces for you to use for tasting each oil, vinegar, and jam. Take your time and try everything, I know I did. It is a little on the pricier side, but I expected that going in to a specialty shop focused on oil, vinegar, and appeals to the whitebread foofier audience. read more

What a fun little shop! Okay, it reeks of sucking tourists like me in, but I bought olive oil and am still happy with my purchase. I filled my own little bottle of kalamata oil from their bulk container and they sealed off the cap. Because the bottle costs extra, the $1.25 per ounce price is really $1.79 per ounce. Yes, that's a bit high considering oils at Williams-Sonoma run around a $1.00 an ounce. But, it's not outrageously high like the bottles at Oliviers & Co which start at $2.75 an ounce. I also sampled a Pasolivio oil which wasn't to my liking. Consequently, we didn't visit the Pasolivio tasting room and gave us more time for the wineries on Vineyard Drive. So, we killed two birds with one store (misspelling intended). On a 3/3/12 visit, they no longer had my favorite kalamata oil along a smaller variety of their own oil. They have also since opened a number of stores throughout the rest of California so out-of-towners like me might find them in closer cities like Ventura, Long Beach, and Costa Mesa. On an 11/4/14 visit, the in-house selection of oil has improved, but the offerings from other local producers was smaller. That still didn't stop me from buying some Templeton Olive Oil. In a consumer-friendly change, the price of the glass bottle is no longer added on top of the stated price of their in-house oils and vinegars. read more

I have been a loyal customer of the We Olive store in Paso Robles for the past 13 years. I am local and have purchased many gifts as well as gallons of oil for personal use. When I first started buying my oil from them, I was greeted by the friendly face of Roma who always made me feel as if the place was a second home. Over the the years the staff has been replaced and every time I go by, there seems to be someone new who doesn't understand the importance of long time clients. It saddens me to accept the fact that tourists are who they care about the most. read more

Located next to Thomas Hill Organics Restaurant, We Olive is a cute little shop stock full of olive-related goods, as well as other tasty items. They have lots of yummy samples and crackers/bread to go with it. Prices are expensive for olive oil (you can pour your own and choose which size bottle you'd like) at almost $2 an ounce. I really can't tell the difference between one olive oil from the next personally. The people who work there are helpful; they didn't have a sample out of one of the flavored balsamic vinegars I wanted to try so the woman working poured me some. I ended up buying it, too (their garlic oil dipping sauce was another one I almost bought). They also have another shop in Long Beach, but I was told that certain items that are local to the Paso Robles area wouldn't be sold at the other location. read more

So much olive oil, local and not.... a bit tight trying to walk around the tasting/display area. Great selection of oils, sauces, etc. They had someone cooking up a few samples of sandwiches, salads, and sauces. All were very tasty. Wouldn't mind going back to again to spend some more quality time with the olive oil tastings and talking with the employees about it all. This place is the cutest place ever! There is so much to try and taste, not only olive oils in every imaginable flavor, but vinegars as well with lots of crackers and breads for dipping. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a mini tasting and explained what you look for when tasting olive oil, what oils are best for what types of foods, etc. I came here with about 20 family members and we didn't want to leave! We loved wandering around tasting all the wonderful things this store has to offer. We ended up getting small bottles of the peach white balsamic vinegar (recommended to try it on salad) and the mulled spice balsamic vinegar. They have some other things we wanted to get but those 2 were our favorites of what we tried. Thoroughly enjoyed the products. Tapenades and accessories add to the shopping experience, though the many varieties of cold-pressed olive oil are the reason why you should visit. read more

Decent olive oil and balsamic selection, but we did not enjoy the same level of service other Yelpers did. We arrived about twenty minutes before closing and I was interested in sampling and buying their tapenades. However, they said all the tapenades were put away and I was not allowed to taste any before purchasing. Bought ten-dollar soap and ten-dollar tapenade. Have yet to see if this is worth it. On our walk back to the Inn after breakfast we spotted this quaint establishment and had to go inside to investigate! We were greeted and felt welcomed and were absolutely amazed at the variety of olive goodies. They have candles made out of wine bottles and you can fill your own olive oil bottles with your choice! We got to taste and smell the wares and couldn't leave without gifts for our loved ones and a few treats for ourselves. read more

MY wife and I went to 3 olive oil stores in Paso Robles area and all disappointed except this place. This was a cool little shop! If it was less modern, you would think it got pulled right off the streets of Italy! Nice older woman helped us out. You can sample whatever you want. They have these tanks full of various olive oils and they are all good! They have stuffed olives of every type too! All kinds of fun extras to look at, try, and buy. Funny thing is I hate olives! Visited We Olive this past weekend while attending a wedding in Paso. Cute store, but the customer service was non existent!! Two women hung out behind a desk/cash register and made no attempt to interact or even engage me in conversation. One olive oil fusti was out, one of the vinegar fusti's was out....no sign on it saying they were out....tacky. The oil I tasted was good quality and COOC certified, but I will take my business elsewhere. Who ever owns this place better get a grip and step up the customer service, or the place will end up like other store fronts in Paso...empty! read more

What a great store! All sorts of olives oils, some flavored. You can sample them with little cups they provide, along with pieces of bread to dip in the oil. We bought a lemon-flavored olive oil that I've been using when I roast vegetables. It's subtle but delicious. They also sell a variety of balsamic vinegars and various dips (we bought a jar of artichoke/caper dip--yum). It's a beautiful store, and we felt welcome to browse as long as we wanted and to ask as many questions as we wanted. It's just over two hours from home, but I hope to get back there again. read more
