They have now been holding onto her money since November and told her they have no idea when the bras will be in. All we want is a refund and they refused to do so. When we asked for help, she dismissed us without a second glance--as if we didn't belong. If it hadn't been for a remarkable salesperson named Bella, we would've walked out on the spot. Bella was calm, respectful, and incredibly kind to my daughter. She treated her with dignity and care during a difficult and deeply personal fitting process. It's important to note: very few places still offer this level of specialized help. Bella did it with grace--and was then openly mocked by the owner in front of us. That a younger business owner would belittle a more experienced and clearly valued staff member, especially in front of customers, is not just unprofessional--it borders on workplace harassment. When I got home, I looked up reviews- multiple sites. The pattern is undeniable: customers repeatedly praise the staff--while calling out the owner's outrageous behavior. And disturbingly, she often responds to reviews by insulting the customers themselves. One person described how a disabled individual was ridiculed. Sadly, this has become more common. A boutique in Northbrook called Such a Deal became notorious for shaming young girls who didn't match the owner's preferred body type. That store eventually closed. Max's in Highland Park also developed a reputation for demeaning its customers. While it's still open, the backlash permanently altered its client base--and its standing in the community. To Bella: thank you. You were the only reason we stayed. You treated my daughter like she mattered. You deserve better.

I will say that in my last few visits I have encountered Tina's daughter who is the perfect combination of direct and personable. She possesses both the patience and the skill to reach a wider customer base. I recommended Tina's to a close friend who shared that her interaction with Tina was not the best, but Tina's daughter stepped in and was wonderful so she will be a repeat customer. They have a good selection, alterations are done on site and the expertise is not easy to find elsewhere.

The tone felt dismissive, and the information didn't align with my past experiences, as I've previously purchased items within that same price range. More than anything, it was the lack of basic courtesy that stood out. A simple "thank you for waiting" would have gone a long way. I value businesses that respect my time, my presence, and my dollar. The sizes aren't even close to consistent, and most bras are of such horrible quality that you find yourself doing this way too often. I walked into Jockey Bra expecting the sales pitch to be heavy and the price to be even heavier. What I got instead was a warm welcome, lots of attention, no pressure, no rush, and a good value. For just a little bit more than what they charge at Victoria's Secret, you get a PROPER fitting and a very comfortable, well-built bra. Each fitting room has touch-screen TVs that explain how they do their fittings and describes the different types of bras available... all of which are the same price, by the way ($60). I've had my Jockey bra for several weeks now and I love it. I will be coming here from now on. They've turned what used to be a horrible experience into a rather enjoyable one. PS: I would like to point out that I'm fairly heavily tattooed, although in winter you really can't see them. When I removed my coat, exposing my tattoos, the employee helping me complimented them and with a wink and a nod said "it's funny how many 'hidden' tattoos I get to see day to day". There were super-fancy pieces that were pricier, along with more casual, affordable pieces as well. They also do a panty club, where for six months or more one can sign up to receive a panty from them. I love this added touch, and am considering it after how much I enjoyed my stop in!
