Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

They carefully had to reset all the paver bluestone slabs and then reset the steps leading up to the entrance gate. After setting everything in place they used this special grouting material that hardened like concrete and almost matches the bluestone. The job came out so beautiful that we now have to do the other much larger entranceway by demand of the unit owners who are saying how it looks ugly compared to the newly restored area. Like I said earlier they have done a lot of work for us and never a problem. Their work is always done on time if not before the given time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company as well as their sister company Snow Hawk.

Totally overpriced for minimal work done that took weeks of people pushing play sand around the pavers in my driveway instead of the polymeric sand I requested. After the first rain, the play sand washed away and weeds grew between the pavers. When confronted about the play sand used, they denied it and I told them that was a lie because I saw the bags in the back of their truck - that had an Illinois license plate. I paid for a pallet of pavers that they unloaded in the middle of my driveway so I had problems parking and when they were done using about 20 of them (that I paid for) the rest on the pallet disappeared. I thought they stacked them on the side of the house, but the stole them instead. Replacing the concrete that was missing between the stones that support my front steps and porch looks like my grandson did it. My father was an exceptional stone mason so I know shoddy work when I see it. When I started pointing things out that I didn't like and considered subpar, they didn't like that. Needless to say, our last conversation when they were looking for payment was very colorful on my end and very heated as well. The promise of coming back in 3 months on the "contract" was total BS! The rainstorm of March 9th was terrible. We experienced leaks in the house that we hadn't seen…read moresince Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Unfortunately, we were too busy have it fixed immediately. About one month later, G. Keith Roofing & Waterproofing were working on a house up the block. While they were working on that house, they also inspected the roofs of other homes on the block, and cold-called for additional business. We chose G. Keith to fix our roofing issues because they were in the right place at the right time. Before hiring them, we checked pricing with a different neighbor who used a different vendor. G. Keith's plan and pricing were approximately equivalent to that other vendor. G. Keith essentially added a new SBS bitumen layer to our roof, sealed it, and provided a 10-year warranty. This treatment was more economical than a complete roof replacement, but not all roofs are eligible -- it depends on the existing number of layers on the roof. They did the job in about 3 hours, with an additional hour combined for equipment and supplies set-up and tear-down. George provided lots of photos of work in progress, and a video too. We were able to climb up onto the roof to inspect the work and ask questions. According to George, future maintenance might be re-flashing the sides in six to seven years, but otherwise the roof should be maintenance-free for the next few years. It was interesting to compare our roof to our neighbors' roofs, and see to how important it is to mitigate deficiencies sooner than later.
