We were a bit shocked that this is a KOA. When we pulled in we saw a lot of long term lower end type atmosphere that you would expect to see in a low class trailer park. The office closes at 3 pm. The showers seemed run down but what you may expect from other things there. The sewer hookup in the site were at didn't even have a cap but was covered by a block leaned against it. There was also a lot of mud around the site and it wasn't very level. With all that said the price was decent but we had rather pay a bit more for better quality. Had a lovely time at this KOA! Came in late. Had everything ready to go for me. Easy to find space. Well appointed, level, and well cared for. We even got to get in the pool and have a nice cooled off evening. Shower rooms clean and nice. Very well taken care of overall. Nice puppy park for those with dogs. Nice walking loop. Long story, but here goes. Run down looking, non-working hookups, unlevel spots and terrible customer service. Approx 95% full time residents. I arrived at 5:30 and Maria was leaving, even though the office hours were until 6. They assured me Maria would be available 24/7 and if we had any issues to give her a call and she'd answer. Pulled into our spot and started to hook up. The water valve was Jerry rigged and after barely touching it, it started spraying in the already deep groove that was there prior through our entire site, valve was broken and the water could not be shut off. My husband had an extra adapter with a valve he put on so we wouldn't get wet. We went on to dump our tanks. Started and there was a crack in the sewer pipe barely underground a couple feet away from the sewer dump station and started leaking BLACK WATER every where while we were mid dump. We saw it was previously repaired, but obviously did not hold up. The maintenance man came and helped as best he could. He also said this campground was putting money into making more sites which is not allowing them to properly upkeep the current sites available. After 6 phone calls over an hour later we finally got in touch with Maria. I said how disappointed we were in the hookups and how nothing had worked properly, she said tough luck, and if I wanted a refund I need to leave. No other compensation offered. In the middle of my response she hung up on me. We were very confused on whether we were allowed to stay the night or not. At this point we'd rather stay in a rest stop. Site extremely unlevel and no usable hookups. Upset with KOA putting their name on this run down campground. Let alone hanging up on a customer mid conversation. Just rude. read more

Older, KOA Journey with many long term guests. The daily, short term spots are still fairly tight with a little bit of shade, level and crushed rock pads. There is some grass between the spots and a picnic table. WiFi worked fairly well and there is a large grass area in the south side to walk your pup. Restrooms were clean and staff was friendly. Close to shopping but also close to the I20 with some road noise. It's good for a stop over. read more

I've stayed here many times these last few years. I have never had an issue of any kind. The office staffer Maria is friendly and always helpful. The pool is always clean. They have nice restrooms and showers and a decent walking area for dog parents. There is an RV repair business on the lot and twice now they took care of my needs in ONE day each. I could not be happier. There are usually very few drive-through spaces open because so many of us return here regularly and stay longer sometimes. Reserve your stay months ahead of time whenever possible so Maria and Lance can accommodate your schedule. read more

Pretty ok place for one night passing through. Easy to park on a Monday night. Saw two deer in the grassy area from forest walking around near the dog park. But June is no good weather wise too hot even in weatherford Texas. read more

We stayed one night here. Friendly, welcoming staff. Very good and clean laundry facilities (4 each that included a commercial washer, but no rugs, mats, comforters). Easy to find off of I-20, about 1.5 miles down the frontage road. The sites are very close, but roads are wide enough. They accept dogs and our two Doxies loved the dog area. The 4 stars is for the sites, which dont have enough gravel, and the sewer access can be a long way from your discharge pipe. We have a 15 ft line, so just made it. I do recommend this park, it has good benefits, but does need some updating. read more

I stayed for a long period of time while I was workin around weatherford! They were always complaining about stuff I had outside I had a card board box stuck under my camper that I didn't have room for in my camper! Then I had bought some new wheels an tires for my truck an I had them stacked up at the back of my camper in a neat stack! They were always complaining saying mine "yard" was trashy because of them 2 things but there was people with mufflers an all kinda random crap in there's that they never said anything about! Then they were supposably upgrading the park doin stuff that people used maybe once or twice a week instead of fixing the road goin into the park! It's bad enough that if you had real plates in your camper they would prolly bust goin down the road! But I was there for 3 months an that's my experience with them I want be back there! read more

This is an older KOA so has some mature shade trees. It also seems to do a lot of long term rentals. The best thing about it is the pool! It has everything else you need but the store has very little, probably because Walmart, Target, Kohls, etc are just down the street. It's just the property is right next to an RV repair shop that is not very well maintained even though I heard the guy does excellent work. Kamp K9 is disappointing, very small and with nothing in it but a bench but I'm glad they have one. It's an urban property right next to the highway so there is a lot of street noise. And this is the area someone stole our daughter's bicycle. It made it traveling all the way from Oregon to Texas for over a month - so guess I'm just not a real fan of the area. We did fine in the trailer. Staff are real nice. read more

Stay clear! This place has no clue as what there doing. We made our reservations three days prior to coming here. Once we got there the girl at the front desk who had only worked there for 3 days couldn't find our reservation then once she did, she tried to put us in a site that was five feet too short. After an hour trying to get her to put us in a site that was long enough we asked for a refund BUT she didn't know how to do one. WTH! read more

Stayed 1 night and it met our basic expectations. Gary was helpful and hospitable. The park is very basic, no frills. The restrooms were clean, but lacked any sort of bench or seat in the shower area which made it difficult to put clean clothes and supplies somewhere. The pool was refreshing but full of leaves and flowers. Needed a good sweep. The dog area was great. The highlight of this stop was seeing lightening bugs on the edge of the park which is exciting for California folk:) read more

I highly recommend this park. The staff is friendly and polite. The place is clean and neat. The bathrooms are well kept and the laundry room is fabulous. The park is dog-friendly. The open grass area gives it a nice park-like atmosphere and not so stuffy and closed in. It's close to stores and town....very convenient. Easy on and of the highway and close to Fort Worth. We stayed several months and couldn't be more pleased with our stay. If in the Weatherford area, don't stay anywhere else...choose KOA! read more
