Had roof tiles that were cracked and needed replacing. Weatherline was recommended by our realtor. They were quick to come out for an estimate and the cost of the job was significantly lower than a competitor. They were always responsive when I called. Everyone was timely and professional. Easy to schedule the service. They provided photos before and after as well. Hoping we won't need future roof repairs, but if so, would choose Weatherline again. read more

Incredibly overpriced. Got a quote for over $3000 dollars to clean gutters. Other quotes in the $300 range (although one other company did come by and give me a $1500 quote). Ended up with clean gutters from another company for $380. I am amazed that they think they can get away with this pricing. read more

I have a roof leak at my house due to an electrical contractor not properly flashing the roof after some electrical work. The electrical contractor recommended Dominic for the roof repair. I needed to reach out twice before Dominic sent an employee out to my house to inspect my roof. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for a quote. I've even followed asking for an update and have received no response from Dominic. Communication with Weatherline Reroofing specifically Dominic has been frustrating. You could see the neglect of my of flat top garage from space. It warped badly and the automatic door opener started to malfunction. I've lived here 37 years and rarely had a satisfactory response from the association. I looked up a tarp on Amazon and decided there's no time to delay; i bought it 18 by 24. From experience I knew to steer away from the association so I saw Weatherline was a well rated company and local. So I had Jorge come out. The estimate was not determined but i was not aware how bad my roof was. Jorge was nice enough to put the tarp free. But a day later I called to see if he would put some old folding patio chairs i had under it to create a slope. Rain was coming but he arrived 3 days before it and properly 'tented' the tarp. I should have written this review 15 years ago. I manage a 4-unit HOA complex in Huntington Beach. One of the owners complained of a leak from the roof. I had her get 3 quotes from licensed roofing contractors and they all said there was a leak in the roof, with quotes ranging from $2,500 - $5,000. 15 years ago when we bought our home in North Tustin, our first major remodel was a new roof. I worked with Domenic Llamas, at Weatherline Roofing, LIC #933810. Back then, I got 7-8 quotes and Weatherline came in the best for what was in the quote. Years later, we added a master bedroom and they again, did the roof for the addition. I called Domenic re: the "leak" at the HOA. He went the following day & determined the leak came from an unsealed window. To fix the issue, the owner needed to add caulking to the border of their new vinyl window. Our experience with Weatherline has been excellent. Domenic, Jorge, Romero and their entire team are very professional and personable. Their main focus is obviously customer satisfaction. We initially had a leak in our fireplace and hired a chimney company to investigate. They did what they could to repair and update our fireplace and chimney, but it did not resolve the leak problem. We then contacted Weatherline and had the roof inspected to see if they could locate any areas of concern that may be the cause. Since the roof was at the end of its 25-year life and was obviously in need of replacement, we decided to move forward with a new roof hoping this would correct the problem. Once the roof was replaced, the leak still occurred around the fireplace. We were baffled at this point. Weatherline returned to reinspect their work and found nothing that would indicate the problem was on their end after doing a water pressure test. Romero then decided to take it further by water testing the chimney and sure enough they found numerous pinholes within the chimney structure which was the cause of all the leaking. We then proceeded to have the chimney sealed and repainted which finally ended the leak issue. Thank you Weatherline! These folks are top-of-the-line! I was referred to them by a colleague who has hired them for years in Lake Forest. A few years ago I noticed some cracked tiles on our home roof in RSM after a rotted piece of facia board pulled some edge tiles down onto our driveway inches from our car hood. They came out and found more than 20 missing or broken tiles around our two-story roof that needed replacing, in addition to the facia, and had an estimate emailed to us the same day. Great work, fair price, done! Then during the last heavy rains our garage roof was leaking. Again they diagnosed the problem and rebuilt the entire landing above the leaks. These guys were excellent! Had a great experience from my initial call all the way through work completion. Of the 15 (no exaggeration) different contractors I called, 3 actually showed up to give me an estimate, and only 1 actually sent a written work order for my insurance to review. My roof leaks after Weatherline installed my new roofing, they will not repair their faulty installation also said it was normal to have hundreds of nails that stick 3" into the attic. All the nails that missed the framing have water marks around them I am also missing shingles that were not nailed in. I had a complicated leak that was coming from the ledger of my patio cover. I was also concerned that it could be coming from the roof. I had five roofers come to my house. Most of them were not interested in fixing the problem. All they wanted to do was re-roof. I felt frustrated because most of them didn't seem to have the expertise or a plan to fix my leak. However, I called Weatherline. The were recommended on Facebook by our neighborhood. Jorge came out to my house. He was extremely knowledgeable and confident. He told me what needed to be done and warrantied his work. His crew came out and fixed the problem in two days. During this time I had spoke to Domenic the owner. Professional in every way starting with the estimate from Jorge, and the quality of work by all 3 guys on the crew. My roof had a significant amount of termite damage to both the rafters and starter boards, plus several broken field tiles. Their crew knew exactly what they were doing and their craftsmanship is incredible. As soon as they realized the damage exceeded the quoted scope they showed me the issues, making it easy to understand and approve. The entire crew was excellent at explaining their work and responding to my questions. There was much more damage than what could be seen from the estimate, clearly more than the quoted scope. The proposal was written to cover a change order if more damage was found during demo. Totally fair in how the change order was processed. They cleaned up after each day and when finished. Family owned, local company, that has been around a long time (which means their warranties mean what they say). Owner was former material representative & thus knows all products available & which are best. In my case: $14667.80 for a 2020 square foot home tear off & repair & reroof with a transferable lifetime material warranty & 10 year workmanship warranty. Tear off 6 hours, repair & reroof 20 man hours for 2 men (40 man hours total). Clean up every evening before leaving. Respectful of you & your property. City inspections with no problems. Obviously, I recommend them but get additional bids & give each contractor last looks at each other's bids to insure a competitive price. You will not be sorry! read more

I believe it's easy for anyone to be good when things are going smoothly and you are working your Plan A. It's when things start to go sideways and you need to implement a Plan B or even Plan C, that you begin to see a person's true character. My roof was wide open, down to the plywood in the middle of Reroofing with only a sheet of plastic nailed to the plywood. Of all nights, it happened to be the night of a freak thunderstorm with lightning and hail. I called Dominic at about 9 PM as it began raining harder and he had someone come out to try to secure the plastic as best as he could. I was grateful he sent someone so late... in the rain. Had I not been woken later that night by a drip in the master bedroom at 12:15, I would have never gone up into the attic to see the water pouring in from several spots as if it was coming from a turned on faucet! It was extremely windy and raining sideways...All night long my wife and I were trying to get buckets and towels under the water in the attic and stop whatever we could. The next morning I called Dominic and he came out immediately. When he saw the damage, he had a water remediation person at my front door in less than an hour. They took care of everything quickly, and efficiently. Dominic never hesitated or shied away from the responsibility, he did everything he could to make it right. I am grateful that I was dealing with a person of integrity and character in what was a horrible situation. I just had my roof redone. I needed a bunch of facia and misc. wood work due to wood rot and termites. These guys were fantastic. In my opinion, there is no other need to waste your time with anyone else. Not only were they great workers, they were amazing people. Very friendly and appreciative when I would throw some cold water bottles up to them etc. This is brutal work in the heat. Especially in Mission Viejo. Each and everyone of them thanked me for my business. I had a few estimates from other companies. Weatherline offered a 10-year warranty on their work which from what I can tell is 5 years better than the standard out there. They did exactly what they promised they would. My husband and I used Weatherline last month to repair our tile roof that had been damaged by the wind. They were very responsive, came out quickly to do an estimate, and came out again to provide a temporary covering for an open area in case of rain before the work was done. They were great to work with and the completed job was well done. Because of the detailed description in their estimate and the pictures that they took, our homeowners insurance agent accepted their estimate as submitted. So let me start out by saying we did not get any work done by them but we are the next door neighbor to the house they are working on. We got home from work today and our backyard had a huge pile of wood from off of our neighbors roof with nails in it all over one side of our backyard.. and we have 2 dogs that were scared to go outside all day (luckily I let them stay inside with a doggy door open so they could feel "safe" from all the noise outside, normally they are only outside during the day) I can't even imagine if my dogs had been outside what would have happened! This is so disrespectful and disgusting that a business would operate this way..no one tried to contact us to clean it up or warn us, and I was home when they got there in the morning! Although we did not have them personally working on our home I would never use a company that would treat anyone's home or property the way they treated ours today.. and they've only just begun! read more

I am torn. I take a lot of time thinking about how I want to review a company before I actually do. I realize that some people actually read these and base whether they do business with people based on these reviews. Let me start by saying that our new roof looks great and has held up to the most recent rains in Orange County. I am torn, because I have no complaints about the actual roof. My issues lie with what happened before and during the process. We are at the tail end of a 6 year total overhaul to our fixer-upper. Painting, re-pipe, landscaping, etc. A new roof was a necessity, as it was almost 30 years old. With the rains that have been slated to nail OC this year, the hubs was nervous about how it would hold up. He met with Weatherline and some other roofing companies and decided to go with Weatherline, despite the 3 MONTH wait list. Apparently, everyone is worried about their roof. Ok fine. We wait. Then it comes time for them to come out. They notify him that they have to push back a couple more days due to poor weather (winds, rain, etc). Annoying since we've already waited 3 months, but I get it. Who wants a roofer getting blown off the roof? Then, the day comes when they are supposed to come out and ..... no one shows. The hubs finally calls and they tell him they can't come until the next day. Supposedly someone was supposed to call and let us know, but didn't. Well, that's nice. So now, it's Thursday and I work from home on Thursday and Friday. I was prepared for noise, but I figured that we would get done by the weekend. But, now they are also coming on Saturday, since they didn't start on Monday as they were supposed to. Oh well. It is what it is. The guys that did the work were nice. Came on time, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves (we had it written into the contract). Unfortunately, we had to get our house painted prior to the roofing (that's another story and it was out of our hands). The nails they used went right through our patio cover and porch cover. Now there are nails poking out of our brand new painted covers, as well as holes and chipped paint. They had to replace fascia and some wood, which of course doesn't get re-painted. Not their job, I understand that, but frustrating nonetheless. The guy felt bad and was very apologetic, but it's not like that matters when I am looking at holes in my freshly painted covers. Oh well... Then there were the issues with the inspectors. Weatherline supposedly handles getting inspectors out. And they did. However, they failed to inform us that we needed to have smoke alarms in all of the bedrooms in our house. Our city requires it apparently and they won't sign off the permit until it's done. We have some, but not all, so now the hubs has to do smoke alarms so the inspector can come back out and sign off. Ok, fine. He does the work and Weatherline says they will have the guy out. I'm leaving for work in the morning of the last day of the job and the project manager is there getting ready for the inspector. The hubs is at work and has to be there to let the inspector in the house to check the smoke alarms, which he had told the manager about. After much confusion, I leave and the hubs comes home during the hours that we were told the inspector would be there. He doesn't show. Come to find out that nobody from Weatherline to HIM that he was supposed to be there during those hours. Said he would be there at a different time, when neither of us could be home. I rush home, only to find out that he had been there and left b/c no one was here. Now I am very frustrated, call the inspector, yell at the hubs, etc.... I'm done. The thing that bothers me the most about construction companies as a whole is the lack of communication. And we are running around and jumping through hoops to make things happen, to no avail. The hubs calls Weatherline and they arrange to have the inspector come out the next day while I am at home. They also arranged to go submit the paperwork to the City, since that was going to be left up to us. But, the end result is that we wasted several HOURS of our time trying to make things go smoothly. And considering the many THOUSANDS of dollars that it costs to do a new roof, I don't think we should've had to do it. Better communication from them as a whole could've changed my opinion on this experience in so many ways. With the amount of money we spent, I feel that I deserve it and I don't think it's that much to ask. Am I happy with my roof, the workmanship, and that it's done? YES. Am I happy with the process and the lack of effective communication? NO. If I were asked whether I would recommend them, I would have to go back to the above information and let people know, so they can go in well informed and decide for themselves. I can't say that I would do it again and God willing, I won't have to. If I do anytime soon, then there really is a problem. read more

This is not a review as to the quality of the work performed. For all I know, they may be great roofers. I do not know. Rather this is a review for all Real Estate professionals thinking of using this company. Up front, their customer support seemed great. For a roof estimate and inspection they charged $200, which is fine. Upfront I let them know that we would need the inspection done in a rush. We needed it so that we could get an estimate of costs to negotiate for repairs in escrow. Time was of the essence and we were assured it would not take more than 1 day, possibly two. Our appointment was set for 11am on a Thursday. We ideally needed the estimate by Friday... Monday at the absolute latest. But again, we were told that two days would be the absolute max. we would have to wait for the report. I was assured that I would have it in hand on Friday at the latest. I had also called ahead to find out their acceptable methods of payment and was told that mailing in a check was fine. I let my clients know to mail the check after the inspection to insure that the inspection was actually completed. After the inspection was completed we waited and then by mid-day on Friday I called to follow up since we had not received the report yet. At this point I was told that they meant two BUSINESS DAYS and that the inspector was out and would not get it back to us that day.... We would have to wait till Monday. We, rather reluctantly, accepted that would be fine so long as we received the report Monday morning. Although, to protect my clients from vendors who do not perform the work after payment, (something that has happened in the past) I then advised my clients to hold off on sending the check unless they had sent it already. It turned out they had send it already, which was fine. Monday morning came and I called first thing. Again, I was told that the inspector was out and that it might be coming in late in the day. I again, reiterated that this was becoming unacceptable as we needed it THEN. I called again at 10:30am and was given no update. They then said they would call me as soon as the inspector was in. Finally, 2:30pm came around and still no response so I called again. This time I was getting mad since they consistently were giving me not helpful answers and postponing when we would get the estimate. Not to mention, the inspector had been in and I did not get a call. Keep in mind, they had said it was already completed he just needed to quickly confirm pricing. This third time on Monday calling, they told me that we would not get the report until they received the check. The check in the mail that I was told ahead of time would be fine. They were holding our estimate hostage until payment. When I explained how that would not be possible for my clients to give them payment that day, but would gladly give them all of my details for the report to put on hold instead, they would not agree. In the end, I would never put myself or my clients in a situation like this again. I ended up having to pay for my clients and receive a refund from them later. By not, up front, telling us the situation it put us in a not great position. It is one thing to, up front, say you need the check to send out the inspection and estimate. It is another, that despite calling and confirming number times, telling me one thing and then acting on another. That is ultimately my main complaint. read more

We JUST used Weatherline to do a service maintenance of a cedar shingle roof on a historic house. The estimate was not cheap (over 1k) but when you have a cedar shake roof, you have to have it maintained every few years (curling shingles, broken shingles, etc.). The receptionist/scheduler was very nice and responsive and sent the estimator out. The estimator showed up on time and went over what would be done. He also took a number of pictures of the roof and worked me through what a tune up of the roof would include. The work was scheduled and the crew came out. The guys who came were very nice but there was a bit of a language barrier and my sense was that this was one of the more junior teams. They did about 3 hours of work and told me they were done. They had maybe replaced one shingle and placed some metal shims in a few other places. I was not happy as I could still see curling and broken shingles that had not been touched. I told them that I had contracted for a tune up and there was allot of work left. They didn't fight with me and stayed for another few hours and nailed down allot of the curling shingles. However, when I went on the web, I learned that this is really not the way to do this work and if you do nail them down, you need to seal the nail heads. I then called Weatherline and told the scheduler I was not happy and could she send a foreman out to look over the work. True to their word, the foreman/estimator came out and looked over the work. He instantly realized that the work was not done well/correctly/completely and agreed to have another crew come out. A few days later, the crew came out and they were on the roof for another half day. This time, a number of planks had been changed and all of the prior nails put in had been sealed. Very impressive and nice guys. I took a star off because I would have preferred it should have been done correctly to begin with. However, the measure of a good company is how they deal with mistakes. In roofing/contracting on small jobs, this kind of thing happens but they made it right. Highly recommend. read more

Just had half of my roof redone, they removed the clay tiles and replaced all of the paper and many of the plywood boards and other woodwork that was severely damaged due to leaks.
