Shawn and Lauren came to our house in early spring, to review our 'wish list' and problem areas of our yard. First and most importantly we wanted a patio, with a pergola. Large enough for a picnic table, nothing fussy but maybe something causal like that at an ice house. Next I wished for a small Louisiana inspired courtyard to remind me of home. We needed extra storage because we only have a small one car garage that is full of bikes, so maybe a bike shed. And I needed something easy to maintain that would be wildlife friendly like a little woodland park.. We also needed to look at our yard and irrigation. Lauren looked over our space and listened to me ramble about my dream yard. Shawn measured everything. Our 2nd meeting was at their home/office and the plans were revealed. Lauren had listened and her beautiful design captured all my wishes. Shawn reviewed the entire plant list, materials and costs. The proposal was professional, completely detailed with photos and names of each plant and flower, photos of previous projects that were similar, and broken up in the following components - Yard Landscaping - Pergola - Bike Shed - Flagstone Patio - Side Yard Screen (for courtyard) - Raised Bed - Irrigation. This way we could select which project for now and for later. We had to wait til August for our project to begin and we had them do ALL of the projects. We have exactly what was detailed in the proposal and are very pleased. I love the flagstone path around my yard, it is like walking in a park. The raised bed has irrigation and tons of sun so my herbs should be very happy. I am seeing new birds and butterflies and hummingbirds that I hadn't seen before. Lauren and Shawn make the perfect team. Their enthusiasm is enchanting, it is wonderful to hear them describe the flora and fauna on the project, one day I will be able to tell you the names of all 28 new plants and flowers that were added to my yard. From design to execution, every step of the process was thoughtful, professional, and seamless. We started with home shows and reading reviews and reached out to three different companies. We met one face to face at a home show, they didn't respond after. Another came out to our home, took some photos and came back a week later with an uninspired design and a sprinkler quote that was 3x larger than Ravenscourt. Shawn came out to our home, took photos and we made a small payment for a design proposal. When it was ready, Shawn and Laurin had my wife and I to their home and walked us through their vision for the yard. Laurin put so much thought into every detail, it was clear they genuinely cared about making this yard special for us. There was no pressure, just excitement, and you could see how passionate they are about what they do. Once the work started, Shawn explained the process step by step, introduced the team, and they got to it. The crew was there every morning, ready to go, and if bad weather delayed things, Shawn was on top of it and let us know right away. Throughout the project, he checked in regularly to see how we felt about the progress. If we had questions or ideas, he was always happy to listen and explain things. Honestly, having Shawn stop by with updates was probably one of the highlights of my day during the whole process. From start to finish, the project took about 7-8 weeks. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK…read more Sure, they may sucker you in with their deceptive professionalism and competitive pricing and responsiveness. But once you have hired them for more than one job, you'll see their real deal. They are SHADY and lazy. They would STEAL one of my steel T-posts after I told them no when they asked for one multiple times while they were working on my yard (I had several lying around). Only reason why I found out was because I needed to borrow one of their tools after they were about finished and they pointed me to one of their trailers, and the dad thought I'd caught him so he handed me my T-post from his trailer. Let me explain the LAZY part. I'd told them specifically to grind the crepe myrtle roots and stumps really well after they cut them down, because I knew too well how invasive these can be. They said sure sure. Days later and now 4 months later, I'm still dealing with all the huge roots left from the crepe myrtles and bushes they left me with because they were too lazy to grind them well. I also think it's partly because they didn't want to dull their machine etc. Reason why I say that is because I'd asked them 3-4 times while they were working to GIVE ME THE MULCH from the stump grinding etc. They said OK OK. At the end, they gave me nothing. I asked them, where's my mulch...They were like, how much you want? Then reluctantly scooped up a wheelbarrow or two at like 7pm...then said they'd give me pure mulch from their jobs later on (didn't want to stay later). I said, why didn't you grind them and give me the mulch while you were working? Kevin said they didn't want to use their machine too much. So, there you go. They did two jobs for me, over $2000 each time. I spent pretty pennies on them and that's what I got. I debated for a long time whether I should write this because I wanted to let bygones be bygones and not ruin someone's business but I'm too upset. And the world needs to know the truth. You, their potential customers, should know. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

Jeremy is the most dishonest person I have ever contracted work with. He sent a crew of guys to sod…read moremy yard in April. I have a 6 zone irrigation system and followed their EXACT watering instructions. Grass began disappearing after 3 weeks. I called and got new watering instructions, but it did not help. Jeremy refused to come out to my house to assess the issue after spending $1600 with them and proceeded to yell at me through the phone that "IT IS YOUR FAULT THE GRASS IS DEAD NOT MINE". After multiple conversations he agreed to re-sod 2 pallets for $150 labor cost. Week after week he came up with excuses as to why he couldn't come out. After 2 months I finally realized I was being lied to and he eventually blocked my number. I drove to his "address" on 1960 which is actually a small piece of a lot that he rents on occasion. I had the land owner call him and he eventually told me "I will mail you a $300 check for your trouble". 1.5 months later and still no check or sod... This guy is a complete snake. Stay away. Will was able to take over his duties and made their house look great again. My parents have large trees that drop a lot of leaves. Will took his time to clean before mowing and not just simply mow over the leaves. Despite being me being 200 miles away from Houston, he worked with me and my parents to coordinate a convenient time. He took the extra steps to accommodate my parents who are hard of hearing and don't speak the best English. Cost was very reasonable considering most companies gave a crazy price because most of the houses in the area are million dollar condos. My parents are not rich and just never sold out to developers. I do have to say they come each and every day to do the work on time I just feel once they're paid they are finished they will not stand by their workmanship. My back patio is still a mud pit. When I asked them to come by and check it out he said he would but never came and I haven't heard back since. This wasn't the first time he stood us up without a warning either. As far as the retaining wall, my 80 year old grandma would've built an equal quality wall as they did. I asked them to build about a quarter of the wall but after I saw them working on it decided to finish it myself. I paid about 20% of what they charged me to build the rest. Bottom line, SUPER expensive, poor quality work, poor quality customer service. Look elsewhere.
