We stopped here while up visiting from Houston and honestly don't know how people afford Wegman's anymore. Typically we get our beloved Wegman's sub. Yowza. Small $4.99, medium $7.99 and large a whopping $13.99. So for a large, a medium and 3 drinks... we paid $30. Ugh. The price makes the subs taste a little less wonderful. Checking out most of the prepared foods was shocking. (Check out the photos). After lunch, we walked around and grabbed a few items for our road-trip home. Grocery prices are high as well. I liked that some of the items we wanted had a sign showing Zero added sugar! (Love that others are showing the importance of no added sugar.) Workers were friendly. I've been to this Wegmans a few times, for the most part everything is similar to my preferred location. A few items are in different areas but nothing to crazy. There's a nice beer selection with a lot of local craft beers. Employees are friendly, usually checkouts are fast. Parking lot is ok, it's due for some maintenance... time to fill those potholes. read more

Wegmans is a Rochester staple. You can find everything you're looking for in one stop. They are masters of marketing. The prepared food is good and a great alternative for when you don't feel like cooking. They have a wide variety of prepared food options to make everyone in the family happy. Wegmans is always consistent in their selection, delivery and quality. We have supported them for years and will continue to do so. The Mt Reed location is the best one in Greece because it's the newest, but the other two locations have everything you need too. The subs are a must try. They are large portions and can be easily split with others. They're perfect for game days, beach days, road trips with kids or when you're just feeling lazy. They offer three size sandwiches, cold/hot subs, combos, and family deals too. You can eat in now at the cafe due to the most recent COVID revaluations, take out, call ahead to pick up and I believe they offer delivery too. In the future if you're planning on ordering for game day or another busy day, plan on calling ahead to order. Overall, if you aren't in the mood to make multiple trips to find what you need- Wegmans is your place. Some items can be a bit pricey, but I think with Wegmans "you get what you pay for" couldn't hold more true. read more

Of all the wegmans this is my most frequented. The mall parking makes it easy in and out drive The store is always updated and clean The usual things like fresh bread and great deli are there. They have the prepared meals in the coolers and cut veggies for easy food preparation The meat and seafood sections are well stocked. I like that they will special order and special cut to your liking Salad and olive bar is nice The produce section is huge. I would have never believed that I would be giving a Wegmans such a low rating. However, there are a few reasons why only this branch gets the average joe stars, despite originally giving this a lower score. First off, the design of the store is the most dated out of all of them, showing off a retro 1980s style to it that feels like a crappy airport restaruant that you just had to try. Compared to the others, the layout here is confusing. The aisles are mishmashed together and poorly displayed, making it hard to find the one item you are looking for. There are alot of Wegmans brand-itmes in this store unlike the other Wegmans I visited so I was disappointed to find the have eliminated some of the brands I was so used to, Florida's Natural being one of these. On the other hand, the employees did their job well and had a friendly disposition so I was generally satisifed with the quality service but I only return here for quick items. If I had the option, this would be a 2.5/5 rating instead of a three...oh well. read more

Every time I walked into the prepared foods, hot foods, Asian foods they seem to be very scarce on the food that runs out by 5:30 PM. The hot soups are all filled up middle of the day by the time you get there after work hours 5 :30 pm 7:30 PM you're lucky if you have two pots of soup left. They have lousy service there nobody seems to care that the supervisor that runs those hot dishes is gone for the day the manager is gone for the day it seems very lousy service there read more

This was great when it first opened & up until covid. Since it has gone down hill. It opens at 6am and there many items not stocked even tho they have an over night crew. When they were until 24 hours everything was always stocked, I know it was not profitable to be open 24 hours. But. if you shop early you will leave without everything you need especially from the frozen food section. Usually there are pallets & carts full of food waiting to be stocked. After talking to managers & customer care nothing is done. The founders of wegmans would turn over in their graves to see how poorly this store is being run. The closest Wegmans to my house, so I end up coming here often. Especially if we need items fast for dinner or an event. Small Wegmans and smaller parking lot. I feel like every time I stop here I almost get hit by someone in the parking lot. One of my favorite things is to grab takeout from their prepared foods section. I feel that no matter what time I come that there is no food available. I always have to settle with the cold ones and reheat them at home. Still has my favorite grocery items though. read more

They are letting people shop without distancing or requiring masks. This is a bad idea in the midst of a pandemic. I think this makes them liable for may things I called them and Wegman/s official corporate policy minus the legalese is to NOT require masks to enter their stores. They are still asking the=at you use hand sanitizer which is NOT what the CDC recommends (hand washing with soap) and they are skipping the masks. Who is running this place and are they crazy?!?!? This is my go to store. The people who work here are generally friendly. The store is always clean and easy to get around. People on this site complain the store is dated, but I don't think decor has anything to do with good service or plenty of choices. Prices are a bit higher than I'd prefer, but I pay it for the convenience and choices. Let me begin by stating that I grew up in Rochester, and moved to Quincy, MA. To say that I missed Wegmans would be a gross understatement. When Wegmans came to MA, I was overjoyed, and forced as many of the poor suckers who thought Whole Paycheck was the best a supermarket could be to go to Wegmans, and i delighted in their reactions when they saw what a supermarket actually could be. I have since returned to Rochester, and Ridgemont Wegmans is my local store. This review is of this specific Wegmans in comparison to other Wegmans, and is not a review of Wegmans as a whole. That having been said, Wegmans Ridgemont is an exersise in mediocrity. It seems to have been left behind by it's fellows, and has in fact gone backwards, having slashed their Market Cafe and eliminated the Wegmans Kids areas. The cheese department is just sad, with a very small selection. The eat in area is sub par compaired to others, they dont even have one of the new fun make your own flavor soda machines. The fish look tired and dry, with little to choose from, yet they still charge high Pittsford like seafood prices. As for the beer selection, compared to other Wegmans it is just poor, and don't get me started on the number of times I have found beer past it's freshness date. There is no special reason to shop here, nothing they do better, and few things they do as well as other Wegmans, even ones less than 5 minutes away. The only redeeming point they do have is their produce is as good as other Wegmans, and they are less than 2 minutes from my house. Shopping at Wegmans can be an event in places like Pittsford, and even enjoyable at Mt. Reed, so why does Ridgemont have none of the Wegmans magic that I told all my friends about in MA? read more

Wegmans has clearly gotten too big for their own good. I understand we are all part of these historical times, but willing to let a customer walk out of your store angry because of a $.99 can of crushed tomatoes...unacceptable! To cook a kettle sauce it takes more than TWO cans of combined tomato products. I walked out of you store leaving $100 in the cart only to head to BJ's to buy my groceries. Wegmans buffet Chinese food is among the blandest Chinese food in the city of Rochester, in my opinion. The eggrolls are not made fresh, but frozen and then fried, leading to mushy interiors. The entrées remind me of dreaded all-you-can eat Chinese buffets, and fall short of Chinese takeout quality, and are way lower quality than top-tier Red Sun or Chen Garden. Yet Wegmans prices itself at top tier price. Ridiculous. Two stars instead of one for convenience, which is the only thing that can be said in favor of this food. read more

Out of all the Wegmans in the area, this is my least favorite. It's also practically next door to where we live, so it is an almost daily destination. It just seems like when compared to other locations, this store is outdated appearing and doesn't have the greatest overall selection of items. My biggest problem with Wegmans is that they continually stop carrying brand-name products that I buy regularly and try to sell less for more money. For example, there was a certain brand of spaghetti that I preferred and always purchased until they stopped carrying it. I learned to like a different brand only to have the store stop carrying that brand a short time later. The same thing has occurred with teriyaki sauces, mashed potatoes, graham crackers and so on. Another example: Wegmans sell french rolls in packs of 6. They recently raised the price from $3 to $3.50. Then only a month later they reduced the size of the rolls by almost half, essentially doubling the price in a very subtle way. I have noticed that they have used the same sneaky tactics with other food items as well. The pizza is a poor substitute for what it once was and the deli is nothing special either - I wish that they would carry Boars Head meat products. Unfortunately, in the Rochester area there really isn't anything better than Wegmans when it comes to grocery shopping. I really miss the Publix grocery stores that I shopped at when I was in Florida and Georgia, they are far superior to Wegmans stores in both quality and choice. read more

I love shopping at Wegmans. To be fair, this is not the best of the stores. I have shopped many in the Rochester area and along the way south into Virginia. I must admit that this store, although it has been renovated a while ago, it is one of the smaller stores. If you really want a better shopping experience, try the store in Pittsford or even Henrietta. Nothing beats Wegmans. I am glad they are coming to North Carolina soon! read more

Depends totally on location. While a location like Pittsford would be 5 stars, a location like Gates may be 2 stars so the average should be around 3. They vary greatly from selection of products to quality of customer service. While they may bend over backwards for you at Pittsford, they may seem annoyed by the same request at the Lyell Ave location. read more

I feel fortunate to have a Wegmans near by. As far as grocery chains go they are superior. The stores are clean, employees customer service oriented, a wide selection of seafood and Italian items (which I primarily cook). Went to Wegmans on Mt Read at 5:10 pm Saturday and the Asian buffet had 4 things to choose from and the other buffet sections were pretty slim selections to so we left. This has happened several times before and I have called customer service about the limited availability of food in that area at "dinner time" but obviously it didn't help. read more
