Great products, wonderful to shop and browse Went the first time during the opening week it was a madhouse, went back early during the week it was heaven. Wegman products are great, every bit as good as the national brands. The selection of food is the best in the area, produce is great, bakery is fantastic. I'm thrilled to have a Wegmans in Virginia BBeach. I've never been someone to get excited about grocery stores, but that changed when Wegmans opened. They have a wonderful produce department that has lots of pre-cut veggies. Their ready-to-eat selection is amazing, with sushi, poke, crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms, pasta meals...you name it. I've not had the pleasure of shopping at Wegmans before our location opened locally a couple of weeks ago. What an experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the produce, breads, cheeses and prepared foods look fresh and delicious. The beer and wine selection is amazing. We purchased some regular groceries, craft beer and prepared entrees to heat up at home and were very impressed! This will be a regular stop for our family! read more

A grocery shopper's paradise with superb service. It is well worth going 10 miles+ just to visit this store. It is very clean, beautifully laid out and huge, with lots of fresh, organic and other specialty foods and products. I even love that it has covered parking! The most impressive departments are teh cheese and meats/seafood towards the back of store. Looking at how the fancy brie cheese with walnut/other toppings was a delight! The cafe alone is worth going to for a delicious lunch. *** Based on a visit in Nov '22. Special kudos to Scott, who I believe is a general grocery clerk, who was genuinely helpful with a smile. He approached me and company though he seemed busy with duties. He went beyond his job duty to find cookies in the back of the store when he didn't have to. Totally fun! If you love food, how could you not love this store!! Here's what I got: 5/ 5 = 2 Almond cookies... Yummy (almost as good as I make - hee hee) 4/5 = Lobster Salad - found in the pre-made food / salad section. Good and not a bad price for $12. 5/5 = Vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting = $1.50 and REALLY GOOD!! No rating - fresh mixed berries. No rating because - it's just fresh mixed berries, but it was good. Loved shopping in the store and ordering for delivery during my week long visit in Va Beach! I especially loved that their online items had reviews! This was very helpful as I had never shopped at a Wegman's before. The chocolate peanut butter pie was wonderful...glad I only got the small size because I would have woofed down a whole pie! I'm so glad I moved close so I can finally go to Wegmans! Now I'm actually excited to go grocery shopping; they have so many great deals and selections. This will be the last time me and my family will be shopping at Wegmans. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. We ordered our grocery's for pickup around 1pm to be picked up by 6pm. I showed up at 5:40 and they tell me they haven't even started shopping for my things and to "wait an hour". Wait an hour? I ordered this almost 6 hours ago now why am I waiting another hour? Or better yet they tell me "just schedule it for tomorrow". Are you kidding me? My husband and I both work 12 hour shifts daily... when we order grocery's that's when we have time to get them. So I call Wegmans to speak to a manager about the incident and was told "sorry for the inconvenience, i'll personally give you your grocery's and give you a gift card too" well... NEITHER happened, the same girl who first told me my order wasn't even shopped yet was the same one who came out over an hour later and took off. To my surprise when I got home searching for this gift card in any of the bags, there was none to be found ..... I was trying to be nice and understanding while I was there but honestly this situation is the last of many I will endure shopping here. Truly does not seem like the staff at Wegmans cares to assure customer service & satisfaction. read more

Great produce. Nice selection of organic items. One thing I'm noticing is that there seems to be a high turnover rate for employees. Wegmans is an ok grocery store but they really push their own brand. Several of the female cashiers at the registers have an obvious bias against white customers so expect to get ignored; and they clearly do not want to actually do the work they are being paid to do. Check that everything you paid for was actually put in your bag - several times things like cosmetics and jewelry were "forgotten". You may also have to remind them to give you your change if you pay in cash. Customers are clueless, they leave trash in their carts and act like this is a social gathering and not a store. They stop and gossip and block the aisles. The electric carts are for those who actually need them like people who are injured or elderly, not for the overweight and/or lazy entitled customers. Someone needs to teach the cookie bakers how to make icing properly - the decorated sugar cookies look like they are frosted with grease and sometimes the cookies are frosted upside down. I am a DC native and the Wegmans in Maryland and Northern Virginia have food preparers that are definitely more highly skilled. And the employees don't have the lazy " I am just here to get the paycheck I am entitled to" attitude that seems to be pervasive in the VB store. Stop using social quotas as the primary hiring metric. read more

It's nice, it has a bizzare parking garage in front of it (just like the Walmart nearby). I just didn't like the vibe of the store, the staff weren't rude, but weren't friendly. At checkout I also thought it was bizarre that a fully uniformed police officer stood and watched people checking out. It made me uncomfortable and I just felt an unfriendly feeling. I love Wegmans. Their seafood is fresh (slightly over priced) but you are paying for quality. The town center store is unique. I found it odd that they have police parked out front, it turns me off from visiting often but hey. They have a great selection of prepared food and beer + wine. I prefer their bottled water to any competitor around. Their burger bar has come in clutch on a few occasions. They even have a solid Heath section with supplements for days. I found several CBD and hemp products I'm found of. Overall a clean and well organized grocery store. Be prepared to spend a little more. Some items are worth the quality! read more

Grew up on wegmans in upstate NY and was happy to be back in one! The sub shop never disappoints and today we ordered 2 large subs on everything rolls. The store was busy and the line went quick. I enjoyed my visit and will be back if I'm ever in the area again. read more

My family takes our groceries very seriously as we eat pretty healthy. We used to have to go to aldi/Kroger or Trader Joe's/Kroger but always had to stop at two grocery stores to optimize our trips. Not anymore! This wegmans has changed everything. They have the best (insert any item here) selection you could want in Hampton Roads and their prices are average. I won't lie this Grocery store is just barely on the line of price preferences. It's cheaper than Trader Joe's and Whole Foods but more expensive than Aldi. Don't get me started on their hot food bars, they have the best and I mean the best "bar" Asian/hot food around. The head chef is super nice and everything is as CLEAN eating as possible. I had the Turkey Burger from the burger bar and it was to die for once you try the turkey burger you will not want to try anything else . The staff was very nice and helpful. Wow!!! Talk about a loud, dimly lit store. What are they hiding? Went there Sunday morning to check out the seafood and hard a hard time maneuvering around the aisles. Noticed that signage directing you to specific products seemed to be lacking. Not worth the efforts trying to maneuver in the store. read more

What an amazing place. It was full on magic for plant-based people everywhere. The amount of selection that you would have to travel to multiple stores to find can be found right here! There are multiple spots to grab a snack, coffee, or meal. For me, it's all about the "Impossible Burger" right now. Best meatless burger I've had. Hands down. AND THEY HAVE IT HERE! You can switch and customize any burger and substituted for an Impossible Burger for $2 and some change. I wish there wasn't an up-charge, but that's hard to find with meatless substitutions no matter where you go. Coffee was flavorful and the cold brew with a splash of Almond milk was super refreshing with the flavor of the coffee bursting through. I want to try the Turmeric Latté next time. All in all, I will be back to try more fresh breads, bakery items, and check out the UNREAL wine isle. It's like Total Wine but I didn't have to drive there :) (Built my own 6 pack this last time and I wasn't disappointed.) If you haven't gone, brave the crowd and check it out! Been to Wegmans a couple of times, it's clean, nice layout, large selection of food, the only thing that's a negative for this place is the prices, especially for prepared foods, it is way overpriced imo, 13.00 dollars for Mac and Cheese? Wow!! You may say it's higher quality but it's still just mac and cheese. Meat prices are also expensive, some of their bulk items are higher than what I pay at Costco and for that reason, I can only rate it 2 stars, cost is a big thing for me. read more

I was excited to try their ube cupcakes. Well, it doesn't taste like ube at all. Not only that it doesn't taste like ube it wasn't even a good cupcake. I've tried their cookies and they were all good. The by the pound hot food item we're just alright. I did like the mexican mac and cheese. My husband tried the wings and he said they were just ok. Now, the burger bar. I seriously don't get the hype about it because there was nothing special about this burger. Not something I would try again. We bought a few groceries and they are a little expensive than normal. Place is really nice though ill give 5 stars for that. I'll comeback for the cookies and try other pastries as well.
