I was excited to try their ube cupcakes. Well, it doesn't taste like ube at all. Not only that it doesn't taste like ube it wasn't even a good cupcake. I've tried their cookies and they were all good. The by the pound hot food item we're just alright. I did like the mexican mac and cheese. My husband tried the wings and he said they were just ok. Now, the burger bar. I seriously don't get the hype about it because there was nothing special about this burger. Not something I would try again. We bought a few groceries and they are a little expensive than normal. Place is really nice though ill give 5 stars for that. I'll comeback for the cookies and try other pastries as well. The lack of care with COVID19 protocols was alarming! Lots of cleaners walking around with their little carts of rags & spray bottles but out of the 8 I saw, only 1 was actually wiping dairycase door handles. The other 7 were standing around in groups of 2 or 3, talking. Only about 50% of the customers had masks on & continuously walked right up on me (wearing a mask) and/or reaching around me. What a treat to visit Wegmans. The hubs and I went to this store after an ER visit to pick up some lunch and we were not disappointed. First thing first, they sell Pumpernickel bread and it was so delicious. We even picked up a loaf of a Rosemary Olive Oil bread and we are hooked. As we were walking through produce I was able to view the many varieties of mushrooms and I even found Cara Cara oranges and that was exciting because I use to buy them from Publix in Mobile, Al. I love the space in the aisles so that other customers don't have to walk on top of me as I shop. The store is very large and we weren't able to walk through the entire store but next time we definitely will. read more

Been to Wegman's for years in the Henrico & Cville areas. Knew what it was. It is excellent here. We've gotten regular groceries, but the cold/hot bars, sandwiches, my family has had the pizza, salad bar, are all great. The only problem we've had are the lines. Ha ha ha ha. There has been one issue and that's the lids were run out for the salads, and they could give heaping amt of sides on there. That's about the extent of it. Parking is a mess, but you know, it is new and popular. read more

Their meats are overpriced. The price in the grocery dept. for dry goods reasonable. I drive past it almost everyday, but would rather go further up the road to Aldi, Lidl, or Kroger. I'm glad that I went to this store during the week of the grand opening because they had a couple women at the entrance who requested your driver's license and signed you up for savings. They don't offer a card like some Food Lion's MVP card...you just put your phone number in when paying. The first time the store appeared to be huge...it was packed with customers and I was impressed with the little restaurants inside. I was also surprised the chicken wings and salad bar were so expensive. I saw a lady with a pizza that you'd prepare at home in her cart and I was shocked it was $18! Later, when I went back to visit a week later I went just before close and really got to check out the prices. It's expensive but I looked at the pizza and it was a Margherita (specialty) pizza. I liked the fresh seafood section in the center of the store at the time. I also liked that they carried Andouille sausage that looked authentic like the ones you find in New Orleans. I realized that I knew a couple of employees...someone from a Farm Fresh that had gone out of business and a cashier that also attends my church. I took asked the first guy what was good there and he told me that their store brand items were a cut above the rest. He mentioned the eggs, peanut butter and ice cream were inexpensive. I noticed the clear wrap was extremely expensive and got it home to find it was flimsy. I did like items like their cans of yellow fin tuna and their section with healthy tonics and freshly squeezed juices. I now go quite frequently for the orange roughy fish in the frozen seafood section. The store is overpriced for sure however, they have hard to find items like specialty cheeses, sausage, seafood and sometimes good prices on frozen veggies. They're wine section is pretty large as well...offering organic wines as well. If you get the savings for members you can save on whatever they have on sale including wines. I miss things like the ability to grind their coffee beans in the store and to grind nuts for almond butter. All of the stores have cancelled grinding nuts like cashews, almonds or peanuts to make nut butters. Trader Joe's still allows you to grind the coffee beans in store and I appreciate that...especially their Bolivian coffee beans. During the pandemic I've gone to Wegman's several times for their frozen fish and drinks with celery juice, cucumber, ginger etc. They're $6 for small container. I was surprised that one cashier had each customer put the chain up in her line to keep the customers even more socially distanced. She had her gloves and masks on but still asked me to put the chain up behind me and the same with the customer before me...she had them put the chain up before me so that I wouldn't advance. I usually just to the self service lines. It's still the same as far as the employees with masks and gloves and not wanting to come near you but no chains. I'm not complaining because I know we're all wearing masks and socially distancing but they really seem to make you feel like you're contaminated. Clean store tho. Nice bathrooms as well. It helps if you have to go when you're in the store. read more

First off let me say that I like the store and the selection but this is about the service that disappointed me. I went to the store to grab a few things and decided to get a new pair of sunglasses. I have purchased glasses there before so I am familiar with which ones they sell. I picked out the pair which I have purchase 2 times before at wegmans but it did not have a tag on it and it was the last pair. I then went to cuatomer service and explained the situation. This large , husky old tubular female that was behind the customer service desk stated that they looked used and I could not purchase them because they did not have a tag. She provided no attempt to even try to locate a price for them, or attempted ANY due diligence to find a reasonable resolution. It was more like I "this is too much work to even try and find a price to help a customer, you just can't buy them." Not to mention the whole display rack looked like it was just dragged out of a barn. ALL of the glasses looked used! We are in the middle of a global pandemic and you cant take the time to clean the glasses people put on their face??? That should have been a priority before they were put on display. I even took 2 pairs of the dirty glasses and handed them to the to the husky woman and she just said ok and threw them under the desk. I guess she has no concern of public health in a pandemic and an issue that a customer pointed out. I didn't get the best picture but you can see the dust on every pair. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANED! Wegmans, you should hold a higher standard then this and the people you employ. If the husky lady cannot attempt to come to a resolution with a customer put her somewhere that she does not have to interact. I did not get her name but when I do I will post it. Fresh food, great service a little expensive. Walked in during my lunch break and was able to enjoy my meal at a very low key spot
