You might now be shocked to learn that I've only had one appointment so far, but it only took one appointment for me to decide that I'll be coming back every month for as long as I live in the DMV. Why, you ask? I came to Wei Wei in preparation for my best friend's wedding, because my face was in some desperate need of some TLC. My skin was drying out and over oily in different areas, I had blackheads sprouting, and I had been eating too much chocolate so I was making some unwelcome new pimple friends. Based on my skincare needs, Wei Wei recommended me a deep microdermal facial, with all the new technology from Germany. This is the best my skin has felt in the longest time! It's rejuvenated and the facial dug deep to get my skin to start absorbing moisture again. I've tried more commercial places like Hela Medical Spa in Georgetown; if that was a 4 then Wei Wei is an 11. I feel like my skin is on track to becoming glowing perfection in a few months! For Starters her business is in her home now, I don't know if she still has another location or what but my appointment was at her home. 1) It is so fast & easy to get in touch with her, so considerate and convenient (BTW she is booked in advance, for a consultation I had to wait 2 weeks) (she ain't no joke) 2) She was so friendly and her home was so clean ! it was jus so comfortable. The Consultation: She took the time to look at my skin and tell me what was wrong and how to repair, what she could do and what I could do for myself. The Facial & Microdermabrasion It was painless and refreshing my skin felt amazing, it only stung a little after she applied toner and moisturizer after the microdermabrasion, but it was a .5 pain level on a scale of 10. My skin looked ok after my facial, it wasn't like I got up and was like wow! No. She told me 4 days of no sun, to try and stay in and if I had to go out to wear sunscreen. (Also some people experienced peeling after they left) (I did but only a tiny bit) I did my best to not go out, and after 4 days I swear my skin is smooth, soft, and as clear as a babies bottom it is freaking ridiculous. I feel so confident and back to my normal self, after not taking care of my skin and letting acne ruin it for a year. I have oily skin, and mild acne prone skin for those who are wondering. She also recommended these skin products that she did not whatsoever push on me but I purchased because I trusted her knowledge, and of course they worked -_-. I don't know whats in these products but It has to be magic drugs because my skin is only getting better. I would highly recommend her because I have gone to other place for facials that literally did nothing and I have gone to professional dermatologists, and paid a lot of money for products that did not work. The product line she sold me was pricey but it actually delivers. All in all I paid 265$ for everything, services and products, which is a lot and initially stung when I swiped my credit card, (btw she accepts credit/debit, she has that iPhone thingy) but now I am so happy I actually got them because they're brilliant. Also she is very honest, and will tell you if you need to come back, how often you need to come back and what you need to come back for, she was very sweet and told me that I didn't need to come back at all just maintenance every 3-6 months as long as I take care of my skin, which I appreciated because she could've said to come back every month (which I would've of) and spent money I did not have. I've also gotten microblading on my eyebrows to make them thicker, and Wei is an artist when it came to placing hairlike strokes for a natural effect. The experience I had at WeiWei Beauty was horrible. She appeared to be very nice and tried to sell me her products from day one. She seemed to be nice and hard to reject. So I purchased a package of facial with $800 10 times and micro dermabrasion package with $100 per time. She promised that she would return the balance to me if I cannot use all. After 3 times of Micro Dertmabrasion treatment, I found my skin has new scars. I was afraid and asked if I can get the remaining dermabrasion packages back. She refused to make any refund by saying that it is not her normal practice to return the remaining package. I told her that I was worried about the new scar created by her machine on my face. She immediately denied any responsibility. I still have 3 facials remaining. She said that she still wants to honor it, however, I have to go to her VA office. I live in MD. The only reason I chose her is that she can do facial on Saturday and her office in Rockville is near my house. I have told her many times before. It is too far away for me to drive me to VA just for a facial. Again, she refused the refund and insist that I need to go to VA for the remaining facials. I denied the credit card charges. However, I have paid some of the package via check, which she refused to return to me. I called her a couple of times to see if we could work out a deal. She was nasty and told me never to contact her. I felt really fooled and cheated by her. Just want to share my experience with broader beauty salon consumers. Think twice before you write any checks, no matter how nice and caring she appears. Do not be carried away by what she says. She just want to sell you her products. What she cares is about making money, not about your skin. In addition, even if you decide to buy her products, do purchase by credit card. No checks!!!!! While there are not many reviews, the ones who reviewed it are all positive and so I figured I would roll the dice and try it out. So fast forward to my visit, the business is located in Wei Wei's home, and she has all the equipment that you would find in a spa establishment. My facial was A-MAZING! So relaxing that I fell asleep. Plus, she uses all professional products; Dermalogica and PCA Skin, to name a couple. I started seeing Wei in June for melasma associated with hormones during my pregnancies. I had two large dark patches on both of my cheeks and I got a 10 session microdermabrasion package. I had been to many dermatologists and other skincare centers, including doing IPL and nothing worked. After my 5th session Wei my dark patches have dramatically improved. My second time for a facial was today July 25th. I must say she is a very professional esthetician.! She is very welcoming and goes over products she is applying and carefully studies areas around the face that have acne problems. She then goes over how often to wash/treat through facial. I had mild acne on my forehead and it's almost completely gone, just with two visits! Extractions are done gently and face feels lighter afterwards. She is awesome and mentioned she has 18 years of experience because she worked at a dermatologist office and enjoys helping others on her free time.
