He did beautiful dental and cosmetic work, but also seemed genuinely interested in my feedback throughout the process, to ensure I felt not just good but great about the final product. He was meticulous about color matching to make sure everything looked natural but improved, which was a pain point for other dentists. He also provided a number of cost options and helped me evaluate the best option based on what was important to me. Dr. Tetri managed to do all this while exuding patience and completing my appointments quickly. For me going to the dentist is a bit different than most people. I had a traumatic experience 4 years ago that has not just affected my life but my ability to bring myself to a dentist. So recently a crown broke and I had to find a dentist.... a really good one.... I did my homework and came up with a few in NYC... By fate or luck I ended up in Dr. Tetri chair. He is really really good at what he does...but for me it was refreshing to not be forced or pushed to do more than what was needed.... I mean if you want the works there probably is no better place to get it I have studied the photos he is the best in town...... and someday I may want that but for now I just want a dentist that is great at what he does and loves what he does, a trustworthy Dr. So far that is what I have found... I have much more work to be done but I have found a place where the staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. I could go on and on, BUT if you're looking for dental or cosmetic work, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Tetri. His staff is also really friendly & helpful when it comes to understanding upfront costs/insurance/payment options. Can't thank them enough.

Then I heard the staff telling him he needed three more appointments because the hygienist needs to go very deep. What's a little malpractice? If it needs to be deep it needs to be done by a periodontist, not a hygienist. Back to me. When they finally call me in it is not the hygienist I had asked for when I made the appointment. Worse yet, my dentist was not in. I was going to be seen by another dentist. They should have called me to tell me that so I could reschedule. I was not there for an emergency. To add insult to injury, when I attempted to leave a staff member who I had never seen before attempted to lock me in my seat with her arms. You can't make this stuff up.

It seemed as though they staggered patients there was no one else in the waiting room at the time that I came. Procedures that I had: Comprehensive exam, X-rays, Biomimetic reconstruction for two teeth, Invisalign, and a temporary for a crown. As you can see in the photos Dr. Lazare uses a red dye to mark the decay and then works patiently to remove the decay and then rebuild the tooth. To say I am thrilled with his dedication to his craft and meticulous care would be putting it mildly. Staff: All staff seems to genuinely care for their patients. The woman who was assisting him during this process though a hygienist, was a dentist in her home country. Service with a smile knowing that miracles and magic are created here. Thank you everyone! I was recommended to this office by someone I truly trust, as I am not originally from NYC. The office itself is nice, and Corrie is typically friendly. For a basic teeth cleaning, this place is fine. However, if you need any significant dental work, I strongly urge you to reconsider. In 2022, my teeth had shifted due to Invisalign, and I wanted to have my front tooth (tooth #8), which had a crown from a childhood injury, redone so that it aligned properly. I initially considered finding a specialist but decided to go with Dr. Vasserman--something I deeply regret. Trust your intuition--if something feels off, it probably is. When I discussed my needs with Dr. Vasserman in April 2022, he assured me it would take only a few weeks. However, after many emails and back-and-forth conversations, I was informed that it would actually take eight weeks just for the lab in Chicago to begin my case. This was a complete contradiction to what I was initially told. When the crown finally arrived months later, I was shocked. This was supposed to be from the best of the best lab, yet the tooth looked nothing like the rest of my teeth. I don't understand why he didn't use a lab in NYC where I could have been directly involved in the process. It became increasingly clear that he didn't know what he was doing when it came to cosmetic dental work. After much back-and-forth, and clear frustration from Dr. Vasserman, we eventually landed on a tooth that was "acceptable"--but by this point, it was July. Between April and July, my temporary tooth fell out multiple times, I had to go back and forth to the office countless times, and I constantly questioned my decision to have him do the work. The worst part? Any time I called for an update or to get help, it often felt like the office was avoiding me. Calls would go unanswered, and I would have to follow up multiple times just to get basic information. The lack of communication and accountability was infuriating. Fast forward to November 2024--I started experiencing severe pain and discomfort in my front tooth. The pain was unbearable, keeping me up at night and even giving me headaches. I switched dentists due to my previous experience and didn't feel comfortable returning to Dr. Vasserman. Well, turns out my instincts were right--I now have a serious infection in the tooth. The crown wasn't even cemented properly, leaving it loose and unstable. The infection has become so severe that my tooth is now unsalvageable. I have to undergo major surgery, including tooth extraction and bone grafting, because the infection has eroded my bone. Here's the most frustrating part: I have had this tooth redone three times in my life, and never--not once--have I had an issue like this until this last procedure. The fact that I trusted a dentist who clearly lacked the skill and experience for this type of work is devastating. The moral of the story? If something feels off, trust yourself. Go to a specialist. If I had listened to my gut, I wouldn't be dealing with this nightmare now. If you only need a cleaning, this place is fine. But for any serious dental work, I cannot recommend this office and would strongly advise against going here.

The office is very clean and large. The reception was prompt and there was no long wait. 2. The receptionists upsold me a cancer screening and fluoride as a "bundle for first-time visitors" with the option to pay upfront. This was before I was even examined by the Dentist to determine if I needed either. I suspect that they may be incentivized to do this. 3. Most of my appointment was spent with the hygienist, who was very thorough with cleaning and X-rays. They wanted to take a ton of photos of my face, which I had to decline - most were unnecessary if the dentist was going to check anyway. 4. Of the hour I spent there Dr. Rickerby only saw me for about 5 minutes. He immediately offered Invisalign and a few other services that weren't covered by my insurance. 5. Dr. Rickerby focused more on steps to straighten my teeth than their condition. I originally wanted to know if I had cavities and ended up leaving without an answer. Overall, the cleaning was great, but I feel this office is more concerned about upselling additional cosmetic options than about covering the urgent necessities for dental health. I also believe a dentist should explain what needs to be done to alleviate the issues the patient cares about the most - they didn't. Any optional recommendations should have been secondary to that I've never been to a dental office that went straight for sales pitches and upselling on services that aren't covered by insurance once I walked into the door. Because of this, I am not confident that Rickerby is a dentist I can trust. So, I'll be looking elsewhere to hopefully a place that is more concerned about my health first.

Debbie, the assistant, always makes small talk and really seems interested in your life and what you have going on! Dr. Ort is extremely personable too! Also, I have had dentists in the past where the assistant cleans - so it is nice that that actual, trained, expert is cleaning my teeth! He is very gentle, and will put numbing cream on before hand if I ask {also something hard to come by with past dentists!} I also had really bad problems one time with my gums and he squeezed me in two hours later when I was originally told I couldn't see him for at least 3 more days {did his best to help, but eventually recommended me to a periodontist who is also amazing I might add!} The office is tiny but intimate, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and you always get gifts when you leave (well, toothbrush, floss etc, I guess those are a dentist's versions of gifts, but still!).
